“I’m sorry, what did you just say about me?” Snatcher turned to face the woman he was talking to. “I’ll have you kn-” His face suddenly drooped into a small frown. He hadn’t seen someone like her around before, and he thought he’d seen everyone in Cheesebridge. Perhaps she was new here?

“Oh...where are my manners?” Taking his hat off, Snatcher did a bow, then quickly straightened up again, putting his hat back on. “The name’s Snatcher. Archibald Snatcher, that is. I must say I haven’t seen someone so- no, no...I haven’t seen you around here before.”

Putting a hand in his hair and pushing it away from his face, Archibald raised an eyebrow. “But did you say something about me? It sounded like you did. Look, as the exterminator of horrible things in this town, I know what needs to be gotten rid of, and these boxtrolls are one of those things that need to be gone.”
