🎂My Gemsona Blog is turning 5 Years Old! #gemsonaversary🍰
On July 25th, GemsonaResources will be celebrating its 5th year anniversary by posting a gemsona community collaboration! Gemsona makers will be asked to post and submit artwork of their gemsonas to @gemsonaresources! This will be GemsonaResources’ final time hosting a gemsona related event. Please consider joining in!
What is this theme? How do I participate?
The theme is simple: draw a full body image of a gemsona that you have created. Your character will be added to a large collaboration of other gemsonas that have been submitted for this event. Both traditional and digital mediums are welcome. Your gemsona can be sitting, standing, or floating. It is recommended that you choose a gemsona that you have made with the help of a gemsona help blog or a fellow SU fan/gemsona maker.
What should my submission file be/look like?
File Type: Transparent PNG file, transparent Photoshop file; This means that your artwork must only contain the character that you have drawn and no background. If you need help with this, feel free to ask me questions on how to accomplish this or ask me to make your file transparent for you.
File Size:
-Portrait Format: 8 inches in height, 5 inches in width.
-Landscape Format: 5 inches in height, 8 inches in width
Your gemsona should fit into or be smaller than these parameters. The goal is to keep the characters proportionate to one another even though your canon for them may involve the character being exceptionally tall or small.
Entry Limit: Limitless. However, please keep each character you draw in its own individual file.
What is the due date? Are late submissions allowed?
JULY 21st! As soon as the clock strikes 12am Pacific Standard Time on July 22nd, no more entries will be allowed. I need the time to format the final collaboration for July 25th. Late posters will still get reblogs onto my blog, but will not be included in the final collaboration. Please take that into consideration in case you see your work on my blog, but not in the final piece.
Where and how do I send in my work(s)?
Three ways:
1) Post your works onto Tumblr, use the hashtag #gemsonaversary within the first five tags on your post, and tag me @gemsonaresources in the description or the first five tags so I know where to find your works.
2) If you do not have a Tumblr blog or prefer to submit your works on another website (deviantArt, Twitter, etc), please send me a link to your work through the submission box and I will post it onto my Tumblr page.
3) Email me your entry at [email protected] and send a chat message to me at my personal Tumblr blog, @macbeth-macdeath, confirming that you have send your entry to me.

Restrictions on Submitted Art:
-All creations must be made specifically for the event.
-Gemsona characters ONLY for this event. No canon SU characters or human OCs will be included in this final collaboration.
-Works must be G or PG rated (think of what is shown on Steven Universe).
-No cursing/swear words
-No blood, gore, violence, death
-No nudity
-No NSFW/sexual content
-No traced or recolored work of someone else’s art. We want your original content! This includes photoshopping another person’s work to fit the theme of the event.
