Making his return tour of meeting up with people he hadn't seen in years, Riley found himself at a pub with a bunch of old friends. As they were all leaving, Riley spotted another familiar face sitting at the bar, making sure to say hi before heading out. "Well, well, well," he started before finding an empty barstool next to Gen. "If it isn't Genoveva Marrero," he smiled and leaned on the bar beside her, "How's it going?"
Hogwarts was just as impressive as his mum had always told him, Archie thought as he walked across the bridge to the castle. Mum had always been full of stories for him, especially as he began attending Ilvermorney. He supposed she wanted to be sure her heritage wasn't erased, married to an American wizard, raising children in America. But he was always glad of that, and never more than now. Between his mum's stories and Gen’s, it was easy to navigate through the castle.
Though he should go straight away to find the Auror in charge - Moody, he thought, or maybe Marchand - Archie had a different destination. Gen's letters had been full of information about her change in circumstances and her new partner and how little she liked being around him. She'd taken to working in an empty classroom most of the time and her letters had given enough details that he could find it, he thought. So he set out through the castle, glad that during this time of day, most of the students and adults were occupied and he didn’t have to answer any awkward questions.
It didn’t take a terribly long time to find the classroom, based on her descriptions. The door was open and she faced away from it, busy with something on the desk in front of her, which gave Archie the opportunity to just watch her for a moment. He loved Gen with everything in him, and being separated had been much harder than he anticipated. It had been natural to leap at the possibility of assignment here. After a moment of watching her work, he cleared his throat and stepped inside, pushing the door shut behind him. “Genevieve, darling, I’ve been reassigned.”

"Gen, I swear it wasn't me-" Archie said as he sat opposite his lawyer in that familiar office just like he had numerous times. Despite his parents having a good lawyer on retainer, he figured he'd have his own on speed dial as an adult; especially since he could sometimes get into some trouble around town. This time he was caught in the passenger seat of a car while it was drag racing, and with him being known in town, they hauled him in on a charge of illegal street racing. "I wasn't driving this time." He threw his hands up in defense.
