i love that two years ago i found a fic i wanted to read but physically couldnt come to it and now that i really want to finish it it's completely disappeared off the face of the earth. THE AIDROSE DESERT IS DRY AND I AM A THIRSTY INDIVIDUAL. PLEASE GOD SPARE ME A DROP OF WATER........
IF ANYONE KNOWS WHWRE TO FIND IT PLS 😭😭 it's called Balikbayan or something like that, it used to be on Ao3 but then it was only on fanfic.net, now its just...evaporated. I need some decent dystopia plot in my life
If there was an rpg with only a setting where you apply with your oc character and not with those long ass applications you need to fill, would you apply to it? And what settings would you like to see? (by setting i mean place and time. Like if it's in a school or a town or a beach etc.) Thank you for answering in advance.
I personally prefer roleplays with long ass applications, it makes me feel like I have safety on some sort, you know? That probably didn’t even make sense, but when I would join a roleplay like this I’d like to see a total different setting, schools and towns, islands and beaches are so overused. I’ve barely seen a skiresort or anywhere with a lot of snow. I think a hidden town under water would be really cool too. Maybe even a jail complex. And when it comes to time, future roleplays are alright, I’d really love to see more 40’s or 50’s roleplays. The 20’s were an interesting time as well, you could do the whole WWI aftermath or you could always stay in the good old present.
If Alona Tal is the oldest sibling and Bridgit Mendler is the youngest, who could play as the middle sibling? Can I have both male and female suggestions? Thank you :-)
So Alona Tal is 30 but could play anyone in the rage between 20 and 25 I would say. Bridget Mendler is 21 and can play 16-18.
Famale:
Aly Michalka [25]
Leighton Meester [28]
Ashley Tisdale [28]
Demi Lovato [20]
Emily Browning [25]
Male:
Evan Peters [27]
Josh Hutcherson [21]
Dave Franco [29]
The light hair, dark eyes type is not easy to find. So with exceptions here I have some examples for you. Hope this helped.
There's nothing more irksome than a character that doesn't stick to their bio. If your character is shy or a push-over and they're off scolding other characters or being a bully, nine times out of ten you're doing it wrong. On the flip-side if your character is confident and witty, God damnit they better be floating around and socializing and cracking jokes.
There's a ton of roleplays floating around tumblr, but how do you know which one you want to join. Here's a few things to consider before applying for an RP.
1. Finding the Roleplay
This is probably the hardest part of choosing an RP. If you want to play something fandom based, all you have to do is search "Fandomname rp" but what if you want something different. You could just search "rp" or "roleplay" in the tags but that brings you to a huge number of possibilities. Try something specific like "asylum rp" or "city rp" or "celeb rp". Check to see when the last post on the main RP page was posted. If it's too old, the RP is probably not active anymore.
2. Read the pages
There is nothing more irksome than an applicant who doesn't know what they're getting into. For example: If you're underaged, you shouldn't be joining a mature RP or you should alert your partners that you won't be able to write sexual NSFW threads. Or perhaps somewhere in the rules it says that NSFW topics are not allowed and you go off reblogging sexy graphics or trying to get into smutty situations. Many RPs will include little "password" type things that need to be included in your app to make sure that you've read the rules and such. SO READ THE FRICKIN' PAGES. KNOW THE PLOT.
3. What's the app like?
If the app is lengthy, you're probably getting yourself into a higher level RP. This means that if you're just going to write one liners and slap a gif on, that ain't gonna fly.
Likewise if the app doesn't even require an IC para sample, you're probably going to look out of place with multi-paragraph starters.
The application for an RP can sometimes indicate what level of RP you're looking at (IF THE RP LEVEL ISN'T ALREADY INDICATED SOMEWHERE IN THE RULES/INFO WHICH YOU SHOULD HAVE READ IN STEP 2)
4. Look at the FCs
This isn't a necessary step, but for me, I often look at the type of face claims an RP uses. Overused FCs and a paper-thin, over-used are definitely a turn off for me. Those two things are usually coupled with gaudy, myspace-esque themes and it all just gives me a headache.
5. I don't like it here!
If you are accepted to a roleplay and you find that you:
1. Don't fit in with the level of writing, whether it's too challenging or not challenging enough
2. Dislike your RP partners (They irritate you, there's too much OOC drama, etc.)
3. Just don't enjoy RPing in the group for whatever reason
Send the mod a message to be removed from the group. No one's judging you. Or, if you feel uncomfortable, I'd say you could deactivate. But, personally, I'd send the mod a message just because it allows them to remove you from the follow list and open up your character for application.
