“Myuu!”
The little white kitten was mewling quite loudly. Seems they want some sort of attention. And now they’re pawing at the leg. A target has been acquired.

“...I-I bring sn-snackku. G-Good job, o-out ‘deru.”
He is offering a tray of cookies.
Momotaro is staring at the rather...large assortment of treats. Cupcakes, Mont Blancs, Puddings, Doughnuts, Dumplings, and Onigiris.
He’s covered in bits of flour, batter, and sugar.
“......I-I m-meido, t-takusan...l-lot lot...”
Was this all for trick or treating? Or a party? Momotaro doesn’t know. He was trying to get his mind off the spooky side of the recent days...and especially tonight.
“...wh-why y-you look o-over h-here?”
An arcade. A rather colorful place that Momotaro had mixed feelings about. The loud music and crowds was irritating to the ears...but the “catch catch” machines were plenty here. Momo liked the catch catch machines.
To not look...too out of place with the crowd, the rugged-looking boy pulled out a couple of yen coins. Just enough to get one prize, if he was lucky. Despite getting a few odd looks from other patrons, the boy remained focused on the contents.
This place didn’t have machines that contained snacks like chocolate sticks. Just boxes and stuffed animals. ...Might as well get something to give away, or exchange for food. That floppy sheep looked cute, and it was in front of the hole...perfect.
First coin in, he positioned the claw to above the plush’s tail. The claw dropped down and lifted the legs of the lamb. It looks like the toy was going to flop into the hole! But before the boy saw the result, he looked back to find someone watching him.
“...y-you...turn...?” he asked with an attempt at a stern face. There was still a strong hint of fear in his voice.
It was a quiet sort of evening. One that was was currently enjoyed by sitting by a campfire. Momotaro took a deep breath...and coughed a bit. He forgot that he shouldn’t be taking in the smells when smoke is around. But the smell of gyoza in a hotpot cooking over a camping stove was too good to ignore.
The dark haired lad immediately turned away, trying to relive himself of the coughing fit. Another breath of fresh air in, and he was able to relax. Seeing that he was now looking up at the sky, it was lovely to see the stars. The cricket chirps were a soothing sort of melody.
This was going to a lovely night...until the bushes rustled. Momotaro looked towards the noise. Who was there? His hand was hovering over his katana, ready to defend if needed. Hazel eyes cautiously scanned the area.
Distractions - Open Starter
Frederic loitered about one of the University's commons, his mind much too occupied to even focus on his reading. The expedition to the Western Approach was still three weeks away, but inpatience and excitement prevented any sort of concentration in his spare time. When he had heard about possible dragon activity in the Approach he couldn't jump on funding fast enough. Janette was the first to tease him, but he had gotten quips from professor and students alike since he put in the request. Still, however giddy he was about the trip it was still in the future and he was stuck in the now. Unfortunate, there were other tasks to get done but he just couldnt motivate himself. Perhaps a walk would help, a good solid distraction might make him productive once more.
So to recap... Filming this week, next week... I don't remember, some kind of thing on one of these days in April, some White House thing May 3rd... And I still feel like I'm forgetting something...
