Genaeological Research Is Fun!
One of my ancestors was a Knight of the Garter who was beheaded by Henry VIII (Sir Nicholas Carew)
One of my ancestors participated in the Indian Massacre of 1622 in Jamestown, VA
One of my ancestors was a captain under General Gates in 1777 (in NJ, sadly not at Saratoga)
I have lots of prostitutes and pirates on my dad's side
The only notes about women are bad things (unless they were royals) - one was kicked out of quaker society, others were whores.
Also: King John, signer of the Magna Carta. Well. That's a lot to live up to.
