i wrote this poem because a trans character's dad in a dnd podcast went to call them by their deadname on purpose and it just resonanted with the experience i've had with being out as trans to my mum. i just. i have so many feelings and threatening to call someone by their deadname, especially as their parent, is super fucked up.
