percy would teach her all the ins and outs of the underworld and olympus (that only he (and know she) knows about)

they love doing competitions with each other, percy wins most of the time cuz he’s more used to this stuff, but they still have fun!

they love causing chaos and kym often joins them (goddess of sea storms and all that lol)

and yes 😌 they argue with crabs more than each other

poseidon also used to not like thalia much (daughter of zeus bleh 🤮), but now he really likes her and they get along well (she started calling him ‘dad’ too and the first time she did he cried lol!)

also i will never ignore a post about percy and thalia because if you couldn’t tell by now… i love them and their relationship/dynamic

[Sea Child Thalia!AU]

Poseidon should have been suspicious when Percy finally accepted the position on his council after years of asking and never getting yes and now all of a sudden saying yes when he asks again after Thalia becomes his daughter and gets the same offer. He doesn’t know Thalia the same, but he definitely knows Percy (he knows himself well enough too)

So here he is, in the middle of their first council discussing something or another and Thalia dramatically pauses everyone in their step, turns to Poseidon, and sweetly asks him is he’s a monster fucker. Percy, somehow, has a camera. Amphitrite tries to hide her laugher, Kym doesn’t have the courtesy. Triton is red in the face- either in igdination or embarassment, Poseidon couldn’t quite tell- and the council is torn between concerning interest and wide-eyed like ‘she dared do that?!’ His guards are laughing their asses off and Poseidon can only stare.

The straw that broke the camel’s back is Percy reiterating the question. “Dad, are you a monster fucker?”

Oh, might as fucking well. He stares straight into the camera, “Yes”

this. this is beauty. this is the most beautiful thing ive even seen.

percy ends up sharing the video with annabeth, grover and his mom and they love it, everytime poseidon is at the blofis-jackson household sally finds a way to bring it up casually in conversation

anytime annabeth prays to poseidon (which is often because he’s the only god she does pray to), she mentions the video

and grover is too nice to ever bring it up

percy and thalia are still debating on wether or not they should share it to hephaestus news for all of olympus to see

just. percy and thalia (and an occasional kym) being absolutely chaotic together, but poseidon not regretting ever taking thalia in (and he never will if it makes percy happy)

We’ve talked enough about gremlin children; how about the adults?

The captain of the guard telling stories of Poseidon’s young days. The seamstress at the corner fawning over all the times Amphitrite has out-yelled her ‘possible suitors’ (as they dared call themselves. The noblemen speaking ‘nostalgically’ about the times they’ve had to track their king, then eldest prince and princess, down to attend the meetings with a huge fuss. The cyclopes in the forge laughing about the arguments that could be overheard through many walls during the couple’s early days about petty things and getting used to each other’s dirty underwear and too many perfumes

Thalia and Percy first trying to get blackmail on Triton and possibly their father but instead learning all about the ‘old days’ and it’s beautiful. Thalia sheds a tear at the retelling of Poseidon and Amphitrite’s first fight/spar/battle against each other bc it’s so savagely sweet how Amphitrite pinned her husband down and yelled in his face to get their act together and just tell her his affairs like a man

poseidon gets really embarrassed when someone tells a story from when he was younger and amphritrite just rolls her eyes

also i have a headcanon that poseidon/amphritrite actually have an open relationship, meaning that she doesn’t care who he gets with, as long as he tells her and vise versa, which is why she isn’t like hera, but actually genuinely likes percy, both as a person and a son

Everyone mistakes Thalia to be the younger of the siblings (bc the hunters) and each time it happens, she pulls Percy down to her size, knuckles his head, and smiles threateningly at them until they say they believe her when she says she’s the oldest well enough

everyone in the family semi-acts like it, but there all truly like ‘nop. ur the second youngest. percys older. deal with it lol’

thalia knows this and hates it, but also knows that the sea family is full of the most stubborn living creatures, so there just absolutely no point in trying to argue with them

percy loves teasing her about it, but the only place he can get away with it is atlantis so he always go along with it on land or anywhere else

tyson thalia and percy are the youngest, but only thalia and percy are treated like it because tysons not mortal so his situation is a bit diff, and they hate it

they always complain about it when they get back on land

Percy is different in diplomacy in the way that you know what’s gonna happen, you just won’t at all like it. Everything is finely cut and clear and to be done efficiently but the delivery is brutal

yes good at doing things without people fully realizing it, but also realizing it at the same time.

some people hate it, some people don’t, poseidon thalia kym and amphritrite 100% find it hilarious to watch percy do his stuff. and as much as some atlanteans hate to admit it, he is good at his job.

So, Percy’s favored/adored by horses and fishes or the standard creatures of the sea.

Thalia is adored by the sea’s depths. Like all the creatures pushed to the bottom of the sea or naturally live there, all the ones too unexplainable to look at or too horrifying to not be screamed at. She takes them in, each and every one of them, and treats them like family. She playfully wrestles them and knuckles their heads or makes elaborate handshakes (or whatever the equivalent may be). She spends hours with them in the depths, going deeper and deeper each time until she has an unexpected community

Just, Thalia taking in the outcasts and treating like family as she always does (i have more thoughts, if u want me to elaborate a bit)

she also likes to bring percy down sometimes, and he ends up really liking it down there!

so every now and then (wether they’re on land or in atlantis) if everything is just too much for them, then they might grab the other (or go by themselves) and just go as far down in the water as possible

also when percy finds out about his mermaid shape (which ill show once im done drawing it) he feels more comfortable down there because he is more of a deep sea fish kinda merperson instead of a ‘normal’ one like everyone else (thalias an electric eel)
