I want to live with my husband.

@generalmumble​ and I tied the knot on August 23. I can’t express how happy I am to get to spend the rest of my life with this person, my person, my beautiful, beautiful person.

I also can’t express how terrible it is having my husband live >3,500 miles away from me, and to not know exactly when I’ll next see him, let alone when we’ll be able to actually live together.

Immigration is going to be a tough journey no matter which country (US or UK) we wind up in, and if we’re really being honest, we know we need help. The costs are high, and the longer we cannot pay them, the longer we must wait to be together.

We’ve come to Tumblr asking for help before and honestly hate to come off as beggars and ask again. We get it if it seems like too much. We’d just like to be done with the costs of going through immigration sooner rather than later, so we don’t have to spend months away from each other or pour out our bank accounts on flights for temporary visits.

We’ve set up a GoFundMe to go towards the costs of immigration, potential legal help, and travel for a visit or two in between:
