To anyone who used to RP with @lockboxbooks and added them on Discord before they left.
Please be careful, their account seems to have been compromised by a scam-bot, as I got this message from them just today:
For privacy and safety reasons, I've cut off their Discord name, but this is just a warning notice, since this is one of those attempting to scare you into following their directions which in turns gets your account hacked.
How this is gonna work...
So, many of you have expressed interest in my liveblogging a re-read of the Diviners series. I will tag these posts with the specific hashtags “Natalie rereads” and then “the Diviners spoilers” “Lair of Dreams spoilers” or “Before the Devil Breaks You spoilers” depending on what book I am currently reading. This is so if anyone has not read a specific book yet and does not want it spoiled they can block that tag and any comments I make on the book in question! If you don’t want to see my reread posts at all you can block the other general tag I will be using. I just want to give you guys some more fun content, even if it’s not necessarily incorrect quotes and I figured since I was gonna reread the books anyway, why not? A lot of these posts will most likely hit around the same time, since I work all day, so hopefully that won’t be too annoying hahah! I hope you enjoy, the liveblogging starts.... NOW
“What do you want to do? Like career wise”
Id like to wake up everyday without the empending pressure to waste hours of my labor and mind (priced at $20 an hour) 8 hours a day to afford either rent or groceries. I’d also like to be a creative. I’m doomed either way!
*taking a very long drag of cigarette* War? You don’t know war, kid. *flicks ember, coughs, spits, looks off into distance* you know nothing of being a Gen Z teenager on discord.
I speak no evil (my journals are to be burned with my body).
Welcoming September with Open arms and Brain Fog.
5 Sep. 2023
I hope this September brings you all fog and rain. I hope you take the time to walk through a graveyard, or sit alone on a bench somewhere. September has always been this anticipatingly lonely month. I’ve always considered it the “second new years,” which I think has something to do with school starting, as I always get this wave of motivation to start over. To become anew.
Perhaps its all the weather, and we’re just fools for frost, and that dull gray that blankets everything right before Halloween. I’d like to think there’s a deeper connotation for those of us who prefer desolate weather, some intrinsic layers of gothic woe– there’s not.
It’s simply the changing of tides, the weaning of days, and the cold settling in us all, bringing about an air of comfortable numbness, of feeling alive where life ceases. And while the leaves brown and you start to smell the rain and pavement, a mirror starts to well inside you– one that forces you to look (I mean really look) at the man you have become since summer.
Love,
Lovette.
Watching the 30th white millennial in a row gasp and teeter over themselves in shock and horror as the words “I do not like dogs” exit my mouth. Watching them be sent into a medical conniption as I say “no thank you” to the offering of dog pics. Bonus points for dog owners who look at you in absolute disbelief as you walk straight past their friendly dog and show them zero interest of attention. Word
