it started with a quaso meme, now I'm genuinely thinking of a bakery au with those old men. such is life (also featuring my twt moot, kuri!)
In all the excitement I almost forgot it's monthly Zine day! A tad light this month since I've been working but still a few cool things to peep for the $3 crowd over at http://Patreon.com/RikDraws!
Poor @biaswreckingfics’s DMs right now.
I just think that, if you’re going to do something, you really should go all-in.
Lucy/Flynn, 6 + 99. (As someone having recently also procrastinated my academic writing, solidarity.)
Thank you, thank you. I think they would work really well in a bookshop, though Flynn might (ahem ahem) have an approach to customers not unlike that of Bernard in Black Books, at least when annoyed. I think the magical accident affecting this bookshop will mean that the bookshop itself travels through time, meaning that they have to become booksellers in a wide variety of times and places, and among all sorts and conditions of men. Lucy's historical knowledge, hitherto professionally underused, will come as a surprise to Flynn, as she usually leaves her PhD off non-academic job applications. He is, of course, utterly smitten by her Exciting Historical Knowledge and follows her around asking to be told things during their intervals of placid 21st-century restocking. It takes her a long, long time to figure out that he is trying to flirt with her.
