Ask?
Thank you! From the 1930s Ivanhoe AU (sic):
But hearing Rebecca ask after Gurth’s health and his dog, and even smile a little when he recounted Fang’s latest mischief and achievements, Wilfred thought that perhaps he had made the right choice after all.
WIP ask: submarine
Alas, I appear to have no submarine! No submarines in Foyle fic, and the fic set in the 1960s is just too early for the yellow one. (Thanks for the ask, though!)
For the WIP word asks: breathe or sleep?
Thank you! I think you have already seen this, but, from Ivanhoe Noir:
Temple looked down at her, slumped against his shoulder, her face slack with sleep, and he wondered how many kinds of fool he was.
Fanfiction Work-In-Progress Guessing Game
Send me a word, if it’s in my wip document I’ll answer your ask with the sentence that it appears in
Have you seen Dances with Wolves (1990)?
Yes
No
Haven’t even heard of this movie
[Note: This poll is a re-do of an older poll, as the original poll for it received less than 1,500 votes.]

I mean......this is one of the most well-known ways AI fucks up! It makes shit up! It hallucinates! That's a big reason why it shouldn't be seen as acceptable to just read AI summaries instead of actually reading the sources themselves, because you can't trust whatever the AI shits back out at you. And the bluesky poster is what gets me, like, people go "oh well that's why you have to check AI in your research!" There's still option B: do this kind of research the way everyone did it up until 20-fucking-23 and don't use Claude or ShitGPT.
More takes from the replies:
(this last one gets down to so much AI discourse lmao)
