diversity win! the imperial officer commiting horrible war crimes against innocents is gay!
assignment for my character design class was “redesign 4 star wars characters as if it was set in ancient Egypt”
in that moment 6th grade Egyptologist wannabe Emily rose up out of my subconscious and whispered “Darth. Sarcophagus.”
So, uh, I’m gonna be writing a follow up to “General Tarkin”.
I got so many requests for a part two so I finally caved. It’s actually happening. I hope you Hux lovers are happy.

Last year at Pilot we did some work that was hugely fun for myself and the team, especially being such a fan, myself. It was as though I was creating fan homages for one of my childhood’s most influential movies, but was privileged to work closely with the Publishing team and their guidance. The driving inspiration behind this style was to capture something of an animation feel in the artwork.
