Interracial marriages & Interracial Sex has reached a new level fading the social taboos in an ever more diverse society. In 2010, about 15% new marriages in United States were between the people of different ethics, religion & races. Reports say that in the same year 9% whites, 17% blacks & around 28% of Asians married outside their ethnic or racial group.
Interracial marriage has changed from a status of illegal to taboo to legal & unusual, the only change is that with passing time the shock & unusualness of intermarriage is decreasing. The attitude of the society & orthodox has not changed completely but to a satisfying level during these past years. Although there still are few people who believe interracial marriage to be a taboo & disgusting but with the passing time & modernisation we believe that these thoughts will fade itself.
Until the antimiscegentaion laws were declared unconstitutional in 1967, it was illegal for the whites to marry non- whites (Blacks, Asians, etc.) in 16 states of United States. The ascendency of interracial marriage is partly feud by the wave of immigration in recent decades, with U.S born offspring of Hispanics & Asians entering adulthood. Because 25 years before today only 4% of that time existing marriage was an interracial marriage.
