It’d been a busy morning bordering complete chaos; a schedule full of people, parties, banquets, and the coronation ceremony crowning his one and only Alexis the new Queen of their kingdom. As her right hand and having been dragged through every event at her side well up until the evening, there was no doubt that both of them were completely exhausted by the time they’d had a chance to settle down in a room to themselves—but if there was one thing a hectic schedule couldn’t make Chazz forget, it was his promise to the girl in front of him.
Bowing slightly as he presented Alexis with two roses: one pearl white and the other a light but vibrant shade of blue, he couldn’t help but smile. She probably wouldn’t understand the meaning behind the colors of the roses he’d picked. Actually, even he wouldn’t have seen them past a pair of pretty flowers if Atticus hadn’t clued him in, but they fit perfect. White for his undying loyalty to the girl he loved and blue for what he’d felt like was obtaining the impossible.
“There’s no way I could’ve let the entire kingdom get such a lovely lady gifts without giving her one myself~”
His present was a lot more than just the two roses he was carefully holding out to her, though; Alexis knew that. If the jewel pinned on his collar wasn’t enough to prove that, she had him for life. No matter how stressed out the kingdom made her or how quick his ego or temper were to blow themselves out of proportion, he’d never let anything force him from her side.
That was a promise.

【ϟ】 “Hello! Of course I tried getting out of the rain! But when you have to walk as far as I did just to make it over here, there’s no way I could’ve stayed dry.” It was either deal with the sudden cloud burst or miss his only chance of the day to actually visit and he’d picked the first.
Only downfall of that was now Alexis was stuck with a soaking wet Chazz as he complained about how soaked he’d gotten—and it probably wouldn’t stop until he was dry.

He’d usually do whatever Alexis asked of him, but changing out of the one outfit that was both comfortable and acceptable to wear through the palace halls following the princess, he’d protest her decision with everything he had.
