When we say we live in "Houston", what we're really saying is that we live in Seabrook, League City, Dickinson, LaMarque, Deer Park, La Porte, Friendswood, Missouri City, Sienna Plantation, Humble, Pasadena, Texas City, Baytown, Sugarland, Santa Fe, Alvin, South Houston, Pearland, Manvel, Richmond Rosenberg, Rosharon, Galena Park, Atascocita, Kingwood, Klein, Belaire, Montrose, the Woodland Heights, The Heights Cypress, Lake Houston, San Jacinto, Tomball, Spring, the Woodlands, Katy, inside the loop, outside the loop, the beltway, etc. etc. it's just easier to say "Houston" when people ask. A distance of 89+ miles separates Texas City and Conroe. Houston is known as the Medical Capital of the world, the Space Capital of the world, the Energy Capital of the world, has one of the biggest ports in the world. Houston is a city of cities. So when we say HOUSTON is under water. WE MEAN that the ENTIRE area has flooded in some way. Most have water in their houses. 100's of thousands have had to evacuate or be rescued from their neighborhoods. When one part of our city has a problem, we ALL have a problem. And when ALL of our city has a problem, we cry. We pray. We HELP. Nights are the scariest because you don't know what you're going to wake up to in the morning. It has stopped raining and now we have flooding. There are still people waiting to get rescued; old people, young people, children, babies, pets, rich people, poor people, all ethnicities from all walks of life. All humans. Please pray.
