I met a guy and asked him what his name meant, if it meant anything at all. He told me it basically means ‘generic boy’ and I thought it was strange that a parent would name their kid something like that. Until I realized it is the equivalent of an American naming their son John Smith. That’s as generic as it can get. It’s a popular name and it just so happened to be his. That’s what his name meant. (I originally asked because I was confused at the way it was written)
