Allegra: “And what is he?”
Kistler: “The most deplorable sort of fiend.”
Hai (in the background): “Yo, Hero boy, you’re out of milk!”
Kistler: “An absolute— ”
Hai (still in the background): “I’m goin’ by the store later! Can I pick up anything else?”
Kistler: “Yes! If you can nab some coffee, I’m on a blonde kick. And grapes! We’ll make a fruit salad later.”
Hai: “All right, you sick bastard.” (Leaves)
Kistler: “Where was I?”
Alegra: “An absolute...?”
Kistler: “Monster. Immoral and irredeemable. We’d be better off if he were—”
Hai (right behind him): “Can I borrow five dollars?”
Kistler: “Of course. How about that? Enough?”
Hai: “I guess... I’m not tryin’ to purchase the whole produce section.”
Kistler: “I really don’t want you to take any diversions on the way there.”
Allegra (throwing her wallet): “Here! Don’t sweat it if you run out.”
