They're hiding underneath a table in the lab.

The child looked up to the Princess with his innocent looking eyes. (Sapphire)
"Awwww aren't you just a cutie."
(Espio) A young child was running as to the fact that he was running away from something. Before long, he came across a trap that netted him, carrying him up to a tree. Even after, he panicked a bit before panting, only to start looking for a way out, struggling in the process. "Let me go, stupid net,"
Espio was meditating in the forest when he heard a disturbance in the force.
He turned invisible incase of danger. He looked up noticing the child in the tree. He climbed up it and became visible for the child to see him. "Don't worry I'm gonna get you out." he told him.
The little child was messing around with a soccerball as he was trying to balance it carefully on his head. "Easy, easy, ea-" He bumped into an individual. "Oh, excuse me," The soccerball dropped on the ground. "Darn it,"
"Aaa…!"
Having someone bump into me, I looked down to see a small kid, who looked to be very…unusual. Not someone you’d normally see, and it caused me to stare at him, blinking, for a few seconds.
"O-Oh, um…sorry about that."
Regaining my senses, I dropped to my knees, and picked up the ball, before stretching it out towards the young boy.
"…H-Here…you go…"
I would have been even more shocked if I hadn’t met strange creatures just like this before. Thank goodness for Grand Celesta Galaxy…
A young child, seen having fallen asleep, in the grass under the early evening skies was lightly snoring. Nobody knew where he came from but he happened to be along the side of the path leading out to the suburbs towards a lone house.
Ness walked along side the path, holding a bag of groceries his mom asked him to grab on his way home. Hearing a faint sound of snoring, Ness turned his head and saw a small child laying on the grass completely alone. He frowned, glancing around to see if any parents were around before kneeling beside the younger one and shaking him gently. “Hey, are you okay?”
"Kuu?" asked the child as he looked to the girl with curiosity.
Whoa this little guy felt funny-- mentally of course. Ana stares at him, smiling at the fur and different appearance.
"Hey there lil' guy. What're y'up to?"
What is THIS?!
