Genevieve knew she should have gone to introduce herself to the royal she was watching sooner. But she hadn’t been in the mood. Frankly, she still wasn’t in the mood. But when she spotted the American in the canteen, she figured she might as well bite the bullet. Approaching the table where the princess said, she said “Harley Abbott? I’m Genevieve D’Alessio.” She said it matter-of-factly, as if that explained everything and she expected the princess to already know who she was.

Genevieve was in the warehouse on the island. It was smaller than the one on Tulach Island had been, and Genevieve was now doing inventory to make sure that there were plenty of supplies for all the royals and pirates who were now on the island. Glancing up when she heard footsteps, she spotted Emerson. “Are you doing a security patrol?” she asked. “Or did you just decide to drop by because you missed me?”

Genevieve found Wendy in the royal common room. “Just the princess I was looking for” she said when she spotted the blonde. “I have something for you.” She held up a small travel chess set, the kind that folded in half and had magnets to keep the pieces on it. “Its not particularly fancy, but I figured you could put it in your room so that you could practice.” Genevieve’s motives were mostly selfish. She wanted someone to play against besides Emerson, and she found most of the other people on the island lacked the ability to challenge her skills. But Wendy had some potential there, and she hoped the blonde would prove a worthy opponent if she practiced a bit more.

Genevieve preferred to have as little to do with the royals as possible. They reminded her too much of the life of aristocracy she'd left behind when she'd met Roman. But she also knew it was her duty to lead by example, which meant she made a point of checking in on the princess she was supposed to be watching every few days. Spotting the princess in the dining room, she approached her. "I'm glad to see you're still alive" she said dryly. "Is there anything going on I should be aware of?" She wanted to know if the princess needed anything, as much as it pained her to ask. "Anything pressing you might need?"

Genevieve was in the warehouse, sorting through supplies. When she heard the footsteps of someone else, she glanced up to see who it was. Of course the warehouse was closely guarded and off limits to the royals, but that didn't mean Genevieve wasn't going to stay alert in case she caught someone trespassing. But her expression relaxed and warmed significantly when she saw the other person was her daughter. Giving Emerson a smile that was reserved exclusively for her loved ones, Genevieve said "What brings you down here today?" She wondered if her daughter was looking for something in particular or if she was doing a routine check on supplies. Either way, Genevieve was happy to see her youngest child.
