So I've been thinking of the Omegaverse lately and I can't quit thinking about adopting the entire fantasy trope around it.
Like, for example, just imagine...
An Alpha Siren who happens to discover its Omega Reader while there's a cruise ship above, which leads Alpha Siren to follow the ship to port while attempting to gather Omega Reader's attention, stalking you from a distance, leaving little love trinkets everywhere you go, before finally kidnapping you and dragging you need into the dark abyss.
Or reverse it— An Alpha Reader hunting down their Omega Siren, searching the ends of the Earth, diving in vast oceans, countlessly losing your Omega Siren after a single glance, only for your Omega Siren to come to you, half laying on the deck, wagging their tail desperately, wantonly begging for their Alpha Reader to impregnate them.
An Alpha Dragon that captures treasures in their vast abode while waiting on their perfect omega, then happens to discover Omega Reader gathering herbs. We can even turn you into an Omega Witch. Captured by the dragon, fighting for your life, even when your heat kicks in...
Or maybe an Omega Dragon that sneaks up on Alpha Witch Reader in the forest one day and refuses to leave your side. Whines like a puppy, guards like a dog, purrs like a cat, but is as horny as a rabbit when it comes to its heat.
How about an Alpha Naga hunting in the forest, searching for prey for their tribe, then comes across Omega Reader collecting samples, safeguarding the forest, or whatever else you may be doing for planet earth, and takes the chance to observe a new species before falling quickly. Alpha Naga ends up causing your premature heat, kidnapping you from your tent, and hiding you deep in a cave. Your heat gets the better of you but that doesn't mean you won't put up a fight.
Or an Omega Naga that you find as an adventurer that fights you tooth and claw. After winning, maybe it just slithers away or, because of Alpha Reader's pheromones, they go into heat. Maybe you help Omega Naga through its heat intimately, or maybe they are the ones who claw at your shirt, coiling their tail around your legs, their forked tongue kissing your neck and face, even the slippery cocks that end up slipping between its orifice.
Take an Omega Selkie that adores the shore and while swimming to the surface, catches wind of your Alpha pheromones, which leads to the Omega Selkie searching everywhere for you, discovering your swimming form scuba diving or just swimming leisurely, they end up playing with you in their seal form before revealing their true self when you have to leave. It's pretty hard to turn down a tempting and innocent creature that's leaking for you to sate their desires.
Or an Alpha Selkie who dominated the waves, blending in with humans while protecting the seas, they also dare to sift through the human omegas before coming across you, which leads to your rejection and their perseverance until you end up being emotionally and physically attached. Now you’ve got no where to run and no where to hide with Alpha Selkie breathing down your neck and following you at every turn.
Maybe try an Alpha Harpy bleeding from a wound in a fight and comes across you, an Omega Bird Hybrid, before passing out, to which you take them in and clean them up, feeding them, nursing them back to health. Alpha Harpy refuses to leave at the end, declaring themselves your mate, grabbing many courting gifts to give you, nonstop attempts to mate you, aiding you in building your nest and even collecting your meals.
Or maybe an Omega Harpy that is in constant need of affection but refuses themselves from having any contact with it due to their abused childhood, thus leading Alpha Reader, who has Omega Harpy as a pet, to care for their needs, to learn more about habits and behaviors, before attempting to try anything, which leads to multiple disputes that ends bloody for Alpha Reader before you honestly takes care of Omega Harpy through their heat, platonically, thus ending up with them falling for you.. but more slowly and with caution.
We could try an Alpha Cereberus Pack that has lived for thousands of years, most of them mateless and horny, until one night where they meet their perfect little Omega, you, a Cat Hybrid. They're sent to guard the demon that's killing your neighbors, all the while watching you, individually, invisibly, before the demon comes after your Omega Cat Hybrid Reader— which sends Alpha Cereberus Pack feral and ends up taking the demon's life and disappearing with you...
Or an Omega Cereberus Pack that have been abandoned by their last owners or their parents (bc that's the way of life what cruel abusive demons do) and are starved, on the brink of death, when innocent Alpha Cat Hybrid Reader finds them in the wet rain before taking them safely home. You take good care of the Omega Cereberus Pack, even as they snap and growl at your every move, but eventually, they grow fond of you, growing like wild weeds, and, out of nowhere, they've become adults, begging in heat one day.
Maybe enjoy an Omega Arachne that is super shy and scared of others that are not of their kind due to the screams of terror when coming in contact with someone else. Omega Arachne who's lived alone for a few hundred years, succumbing to loneliness.. then they caught a whiff of Alpha Reader's pheromones and suddenly went into a force heat, which causes your rut to come into play, but not until you've stumbled upon their web (in a cave, in a forest, or maybe on a mountain).
Or an Alpha Arachne that has set his eyes on you, an Omega Arachne (or maybe an Omega Lamia) since you were born, watching, waiting, for the perfect time to strike and capture you in their web. Alpha Arachne designs a web for the upcoming mating season and delivers many prey of all kinds for the honeymoon, and even if they don't end up catching your attention, they take matters into their own legs and kidnap you for their own. After a clutch or two, they know you'll be fine.
Djinn are known as genies here in the west. A jann was a specific kind of djinn who took on the form of a storm and, strangely enough, a white camel. They were one of the few who weren't actively malicious to humans. In fact, they gave them knowledge.
I didn't seen a lot of rep and thought I'd try it out.
(From the Monster's POV)
Old torches that had rotted long ago sputtered to life, illuminating your path as you entered the cave’s mouth.
You took one and used it to light the way. Hands ran over worn-away walls, eyes flicking across ancient pictures and carvings. A tattered map was your only guide as you attempted to navigate the tunnels.
I figured you would try to enter the treasure room, but instead, you moved toward the library.
An ancient door creaked open with the softest touch. You found a place for your torch and began to look through the shelves. Feverish fingers pushed between books, your breathing labored as you tried to find the right ones.
As I crept closer, I could catch the scent of you. The way your hand rested at the curve of your neck, your eyes crinkling as you tried to read the spines of tomes long forgotten. Hear the sound of them being moved from the shelves and to a table. I flitted just out of sight, stirring the pages and papers.
You were so entranced by the collection, I don’t think you would have noticed anything short of them bursting into flames.
Once you’d gathered enough, I dared venture closer. I thought your attention would be elsewhere.
Instead, you whirled around to face me.
The grin across your face would have lit up even the darkest of rooms. So genuine… So… Overjoyed.
We stared at one another, studying the other’s form. Slowly, you reached up to touch me. When your fingers brushed against my chest, I was a puff of smoke, my form apparating to a darker part of the library.
Your eyes lit up, and you then began to follow me, questions running from your mouth like a broken dam. No fear. Only curiosity.
Not about what I was, that you seemed to have already figured out. A Djinn was a rare sight. Jann even more so. I expected, fear, revulsion, begging me not to end your life.
Instead, you asked my name.
I told you it, reluctantly. You repeated it and smiled.
Then, came the inquiries about the library. What ancient knowledge lined the shelves? Could I translate things written in forgotten languages? Was I present for certain events? Did I know famous figures in your history?
You counted off on your fingers, comparing conflicting reports, and which side you found had more merit. The questions soon started again.
They came too fast for me to properly answer, so I put a small cloud to your lips.
Your eyes still glowed, not wanting to waste the opportunity. Lips moved against me, letting warm breath roll over my twisting form. But you remained silent if eager. My eyes drifted to the contact, and I slowly retracted.
I informed you that I would answer three questions, in exchange for something of equal value.
That gave you pause.
What could a creature like me, entombed with treasures and tomes that no human could use in their entire lifetime, possibly consider a fair price to pay? You looked ready to give up your very soul for a chance to peruse the shelves.
You nodded, now much more cautious with your curiosity. You retreated back to the books, determined to find what you could on your own. A breeze rolled over your shoulder as I, too, read along.
If you noticed, you were too polite to say. Although you did shift so the tome could be seen from behind.
Hours passed, pen scratching over the paper as you translated ancient words. You called for me. I never left your side, but still made a show of appearing at it.
You told of a beast that terrorized your village, and that there seemed to be no way to defeat it. It had dried your wells and withered your crops, leaving everyone at its mercy.
It would hold off its attacks and replenish the resources with the sacrifice of one unmarried woman a month. There was no doubt they were being sent to their death… Or worse.
But it was better to knowingly sacrifice one than risk the entire village, the elders had rationalized.
The ancient texts showed nothing and I could tell your task was urgent.
Preparing, you pulled out a journal, pen hovering over the paper. The tip of your tongue pressed down in sync with the pen, the blot of ink starting to bleed.
I reminded you of the price. Nothing in life ever came free, after all.
The fire in your eyes remained, and I was sure even the worst storm couldn’t extinguish it.
So, I took the pen and papers from you and set them down on the table.
You seemed concerned, almost frightened, but you had a resolve. The line between bravery and stupidity grew thinner as I circled around you. Books flew off shelves, pages flipping to show ancient beasts. Scrolls unrolled and encircled you. Powerful winds threw your body around, threatening to slam you into the shelves.
Fists balled, you shouted at the growing storm to name its price.
The dark clouds forming began to show images.
The water returned after a stone was removed from each pathway, a task that could easily take twelve people.
The crops flourished when a minion of the beast was killed, while it was small, it proved to be fast and nimble, scampering out of sight.
And finally, the fall of the creature at the hands of a much larger shadow. In its place, a new being stood over the village as a protector.
Three questions. Three answers. One price.
“There are people to move the rocks blocking the water. People to kill the creature in the fields. But who will bind the new protector of the village?”
The storm cleared, and I appeared in front of you. My touch was a light breeze as I cupped your face, brushing over your lip. You took me into your mouth, the tip of that tantalizing tongue tracing, sending a chill through my form.
Who would have thought such a tongue would have more than a talent for words?
Your eyes shimmered with the one thing you desired more than knowledge. Power? Or something more… Primal? But you had found your answers, and you were willing to pay the price.
Clothes and inhibitions slipped away, and you stood before me, naked as the day you were born. Years of living in the desert had never left me feeling so heated.
I could feel myself forming, tailoring myself to your every desire. Down to the last eyelash. Of course, it wasn’t perfect. Nothing ever is. I was still mostly fog, but enough to get the job done. The small taste we’d shared was only the beginning.
Papers flew in the air as we slammed into the nearest bookshelf, our lips meeting. Your very breath became my own. Legs wrapped around my waist, hands tangling in smoke that became solid at your touch.
Your thighs and calves slipped down me, before I wrapped my newly formed hands around them and I ground my hips. A moan passed your lips, the sound vibrating through me. In it, I could see a brief flash into your mind, the carnal need that you had long suppressed.
Then, I ran my hands up your body, following every slight curve and angle, before seizing your wrists and holding them above your head. They lifted you up the shelf, becoming manacles and leaving your legs dangling. I wrapped them around my shoulders.
My newly formed mouth mingled with your lower lips. The conversation between us was rather one-sided, but I don’t think you minded listening to what I had to say.
My tongue plunged in, drawing a sigh or moan out of you with each lick. Despite how quiet you attempted to be, each noise was an explosion in my ears. It showed me a flash of memory, a piece of your being. So much to learn...
Fingers formed and became more refined as they continued to explore, going deeper than my tongue ever could. And what wonderful sounds they drew from you.
What great scholar doesn’t make sure that his findings are thorough and sound? Checks all his sources, and makes sure to cite them. My hands and mouth hungrily researched, making sure to take note of every sigh and whimper that they drew from you.
You shook, breath hitched, sweat glistening on your skin in the torchlight. Like a sacrifice to be made, but to a different beast than expected. Fog caressed your flesh and you cried out, calling my name, citing the source of your pleasure over and over again.
What a good little student.
When I felt that my mouth and fingers had done enough work, I slowly released you. Sliding down safely into my arms, your legs wrapped around my waist. Far more securely this time.
I held you close, fingers tangling in your hair. Burying my still-forming face into your neck, I inhaled your scent. Warmth mingled, the thundering of your heart signaling your own storm building.
And I wanted to be caught up in it.
Our lips crashed together again, your nails raking down my back. When we parted, your teeth clamped down on my neck and shoulder. You refused to let up as if you were afraid I would cease to be solid if you allowed me a moment’s respite.
What a wonderful sensation it was. Feeling the heat of your breath, the rumbling in your throat as the primal side of you teased, seeing the hunter’s glint in your eyes.
Hips ground into mine, a new bit of research needing to be done.
Your back pressed to the shelf, arms and legs entangled around me. It was a sight that I wouldn’t forget. I leaned in, covering your mouth with mine. You eagerly plunged your tongue in, exploring just as I had.
My hips rolled, and I could feel you tighten around me. A perfectly formed addition, sliding so easily inside you. Not one to rush into things, I teased. Sliding in just enough to make you writhe, trying to slide down onto me, before pulling back again. You clutched me even tighter, eyes clouding over with ecstasy. The impatience was returning, but you wanted it to last.
I gradually let more go in, and you rewarded me with moans and sighs. Each sound stoked something inside me, and I could feel myself start to give in.
My tongue probed as I thrust, allowing myself to finally drown in the sensation of you.
You took me all the way inside, a catching breath coming to your lips. The new sound drew my attention, for I feared that I had harmed you. Instead, your fingers laced at the nape of my neck. You had come this far, and you were prepared to ride out the storm.
With that, our forms became one, fog and skin twisting and entangling with one another. The sweat and condensation covered both of us, making us slick, forcing one to cling tighter to the other.
As I continued to thrust, your moans turned to screams of pleasure. You held onto me so tight that I feared I wouldn’t be able to move. But I pressed you firmly against the shelf, determined.
Each time you took me in, I could feel the bond growing, tying us closer and closer together. Until it felt like a millstone around my neck. The tantalizing answers to questions unasked, just out of my reach.
You had turned the tables on me. But rather than demanding a price, you held the answers just out of reach.
We slipped from the shelf. I caught us, your body levitating inches from the ground. I began to thrust in earnest, bringing you into the air, forcing you to cling even tighter to me. Once more, you brought me to the brink, tantalizing me with the answers.
I felt it slip by, fingers brushing before it was yanked away. I unraveled, spilling all I had inside you. I don’t know how much of it you were able to take or comprehend, but I could feel the change start within you. So much power and knowledge dumped inside a mortal, it was a miracle you survived.
Thankfully, I was able to stay solid enough to guide you to the floor rather than drop you.
As you laid on the ground, I formed a protective cloud around you. Unneeded, probably, but to let you know I was there. Your labored breathing filled my ears, and I craved the physical form again. An amorphous hand grabbed yours. And as you slipped into slumber, you clutched it tight.
The next morning, once you’d dressed, we exited the mouth of the cave.
The fire in our eyes was back, this time making your eyes glow in the darkness of the night. More determined than ever to bring the storm back to the village.
It sure has been a while since I've posted something huh ._.
I was scrolling through my phone today since I recently got a new one and found this in one of my folders, so I thought why not share it? (ノ^_^)ノ
I hope I did good enough with this one (;^ω^)
There is not enough Genie stories around in my opinion, so here you go
Also anyone who recognizes or knows who this character's appearance is heavily based of/inspected by, here's a cookie 🍪~
Anyway enjoy (~ ̄³ ̄)~
WARNING: SOME SWEARING
Part 2: Click
"Thank you! Please do come again!", thanking the seller as well, you take the bag full of snacks and other tasty treats from the man and continue your way through the different stalls. The wonderful different scents of all kinds of fresh made foods wafts through the air and into your nose each breath you take in.
Finally after a rough day at school you got to go home and enjoy the weekend, all cozied up in a nice blanket, watching all your favorite shows with all the nice treats you just bought for yourself in the local outdoor market.
The market opens only for a week before you have to wait for another three more until you're able to go there again. And you won't miss this opportunity on getting the best self made caramel candies from old granny Lauren.
She always gives those out to her costumers after buying one or more of her many different knick knacks she found and collected. Where she finds these things has always been a mystery to you, she never gave you a proper answer. Mostly because she actually forgot where she picked a certain thing up.
Your (e/c) eyes spot the familiar older woman, wearing her grey hair in a bun and red rimmed glasses sitting upon her nose, cleaning some of her newest collections with a feather duster.
With a smile you greet her, "Good afternoon Ms. Lauren!", "Hello dear, back from school I assume? Did you have fun?". Giving you one of her own sweet smiles she places her duster away and turns her attention towards you. A small sigh escapes through your lips, as your gaze flickers briefly to the ground. "The usual?", with a nod of confirmation to her question you continue. "Today was actually not as bad as usual. Luckily, I have a few more weeks and exams to go and then I'm out of there."
Lauren hums along with your words as she puts the caramel candies in one of her colorful boxes, while you're checking out her newest collection. The things ranging from colorful jewelry, figures to all other kinds of stuff. But one of them seems to stand out to you the most, a lamp. It looks dark and dusty, unlike the colorful nesting dolls standing in front of it.
Your (e/c) gaze lingers on the object, feeling oddly drawn to it as if it's pulling you towards it. "Ooh are you looking at the oil lamp dear? I can't really recall where got it... But I thought I might as well just sell it off. I tried lighting it up but it didn't work. Maybe you can find some use for it."
Snapping out of whatever just happened you began pondering a little on wether or not to buy it.
At the end you decide to take it, along with a few bracelets you liked. "I will be taking these and the lamp Ms. Lauren.", "Good joice my dear, I'll give you a discount for buying the lamp. And here are the caramel candies you like so much." She hands you a small plastic bag with the candies, bracelets and the dark lamp inside, offering you another kind smile.
"Are you sure? I can pay the lamp as well.", you already know she's going to reject your offer, yet you still ask her whenever you're visiting her stall. 'Oh well. Can't complain if I'm getting something cheaper! Not to mention free candy!', you think as you hand her the money. The both of you say your goodbyes and you finally make your way back home.
The sun is starting to set once you make it to the doorstep of the apartment, the vibrant hues of red and purple slowly fading in the distance as the sun vanishes behind the buildings and horizon.
A soft gust of wind blowing through your (h/c) hair. You enjoyed watching those in the past and you still do, but you're just too tired at the moment. Things change after all. Once you finally made it to your room, you pull off your (f/c) jacket and shoes, before placing your bags on the small table standing in front of your couch.
Not wasting any more time you throw yourself on the couch and grab a blanket, wrapping yourself up like a borito. You reach for the remote and turn on one of your favorite shows on Netflix, your other hand shuffling through the small plastic bag to grab the box of delicious candy and plop them into your mouth after opening the pink lid. And if you already started taking out some stuff out of one bag, why not everything? You thought to yourself. Placing the bag of treats aside you take the other and pick out the bracelets, until your fingers brush against the cold surface of the oil lamp.
Carefully grabbing it with both hands you turn it around to get a better look at it, some of the dust particles which haven't come off yet clinging onto your fingertips and palms. "Great. Let's get you cleaned first before I make more of a mess here." You sigh as you quickly stand up and get a wet cloth to clean the lamp with.
Starting with the nozzle you work your way around it, admiring the details of the engravings and the golden shine it gets back after getting properly cleaned. One red gem sitting at the nozzle and another close to the base of the handle.
"It looks like one of those magic lamps someone would find in movies or shows. Huh... It's pretty. I wonder if an actual Genie would come out after I rub it." Chuckling at the idea you quickly dismiss that thought.
There's no way something like that is ever going to happen. It's not a fantasy story after all. As you trace the golden rim that strange feeling that seemed to pull you towards this item from before comes flooding back and you have this strange desire to actually rub the lamp. And that's what you do.
At first nothing seems to happen after you snapped out of it once again, rubbing your temple from this weird occurrence. 'What's wrong with me today?! Have I slept even less than usual? No it can't be, I'm sure it was four hours. Or was it just two?' But then the metal in your hand begins to heat up.
Interrupting your train of thought and resulting your hand to toss it away, the lamp landing back on the table. The lid starts to shake and all of the sudden dark grey smoke starts spewing out of the nozzle, rising up towards your white ceiling.
Your (e/c) widen in shock, not having any idea of what's going to happen you quickly hide behind your couch to take cover, just peaking over the backrest to witness what's about to happen next.
"W-What the hell is happening!?", you squeal in fear when suddenly a loud and powerful explosion goes off from the nozzle. The floor and furniture shaking, making you clutch onto the couch for support, the sheer force making you shake in your kneeling position as well. Fully taking cover you tightly close your eyes, your arms above your head. Your legs tremble underneath you, and only then when you're feeling sure enough that everything was over after a long moment of silence you take another peek.
"Greetings Mortal. You have rubbed the lamp and released me, the heavens have been opened and your wishes will be granted!"
There floating in the middle of your living room is a young, lean and fairly muscular looking man with long black hair segmented in a single ponytail, which reaches down to his ankles. He's wearing a white scarf on his shoulders, underneath it a black choli with golden hems, black harem pants and golden bangle bracelets that extend from his elbows to his wrists, as well as a golden bangle necklace with a ruby in the center.
His booming voice falling silent when his red ringed eyes fell upon your form that's slowly rising up from your hiding spot, staring in shock and bewilderment at the being you just released. "Ah... A peasant girl. Well that should be over quick and easy.", he quietly mutters to himself in a normal voice now, holding his chin in thought. You did catch every bit of it though, which makes you feel just a little bit offended. Sure you're not the richest person alive but still.
He quickly puts on a smug grin and floats over to you, his voice once again gaining on volume. "I see you're still speechless, I don't blame you. It's not everyday you'll get your hands on a magical lamp like this. With one of the most powerful beings on earth!", disappearing and reappearing behind you, he shoves his lamp into your grasp while one of his hands rests on your left shoulder, his face on your right a little to close for comfort. His dark strands tickling your (s/c) cheek.
"You are the one who released me right?", he asks, dark eyebrows raised in question. "Uhm yes?", you're confused.
How is it possible? You thought things like that only existed in stories or legends, or fairytales. Never in your life would you have ever expected to meet a real Genie in your apartment room. Let alone ever awakening one yourself. So you couldn't help but ask and prod at him, just to make sure you're not imagining things as you pull on his cheeks.
"Are you really a real Genie? I'm not dreaming right, where are the cameras? This must be some kind of prank right? Some silly joke the neighbors must've set up!"
The pale skinned male winces from the sudden uncalled for gesture and with a grunt he pulls himself away. "I assure you not!", he growls out, his words echoing as he speaks and rises up behind you gaining in size, glaring you down with his burning gaze.
"YOU, are my master now. And I, grant three wishes to the one who has rubbed the magic lamp. Do you want to be famous? Powers you could only imagine in your wildest dreams? Unendless amounts of riches? Just tell me anything what you wish for and it all shall be yours." he exclaims a hint of annoyance lacing on the whole 'whishes' part.
"Now, that we got that cleared up. Wish away.", you blink up at him at his sudden change of demeanor. His menacing aura now replaced once again in a blink of an eye. A grin once again adorning his handsome face, while waiting expectantly for you to make a wish as he wiggles his fingers. Dark sparkles dancing around them. Sure, if you were a Genie trapped inside a lamp in like maybe hundreds of years and only being able to get out of there when granting someone's wishes, you would not be feeling any better than this man.
He seems rather determent on getting over with your wishes, but wouldn't that mean he will just quickly end up in that lamp again? You also don't want to waste your wishes on simple things you can just solve yourself.
"So... You are a real Genie.", "Yes.", "And I get three wishes.", "That's what I just told you, yes." The being is slowly starting to get impatient. Why haven't you made your first wish yet?! Back then people knew about the existence of him and didn't need a whole ass explanation. Everyone else before you knew what they wanted and didn't waste any of his time! His frown only increases when you're about to ask another question, disappearing in a cloud of grey smoke he reappears once more a few feet in front of you, shrunken back to his normal size.
With a strained laugh he interrupts you, "Look, peasant girl. I don't have time or patience for all your questions and neither am I here to be your friend." You put your hands on your hips like a mother lecturing her child, "Ok. First of all, I'm not a peasant, also I didn't ask you to become my friend! I won't just call anyone my friend, you have to earn my friendship to become a real one. But if you want to, we can try being friends." He opens his mouth but closes it once again, caught of guard by your offering.
"Wait what...", he stutters, "W-Whatever! I don't need friends..", huffing he crosses his arms before continuing. "Are you going to wish for something or not?"
With a soft sigh you say, "Not yet.", "Not yet?", the genie repeats, letting out a bitter laugh.
"Listen carefully, I was inside this lamp for over thousand of years, served at least more than 20 masters up until now. They knew what they wanted and wished. Boom! Back in the lamp I went every single time having all the sweet time alone, by myself, in peace!", then he points an accusing finger at you, "And now you come along and can't even think of a single wish! Anyone has a wish! Everybody has something they oh so dearly want or desire! So the sooner we get this over with the better."
The being has a point, everyone could think of at least one thing they could wish for. This doesn't change your mind at all though.
You ponder, it sounded like he has no problem at all being trapped in this object, in fact he prefers to be alone in there. But wouldn't someone who's been trapped for this long at least try to be free? You're curious. After all, he did turn a bit more sour, more than he already was, when telling you this. Yet you did not let yourself get affected.
"Is there anything I can't wish for? I mean there must be something like consequences if someone can wish for pretty much anything right?" you ask, tilting your head towards him when you notice him eyeing your tv, having given up on convincing you for now. "Oh right I didn't tell you that did I?" With a shake of your head no he holds his hand up counting off the rules. "In short, no wishing for more wishes, no creating or ending life, and you also cannot effect free will. Meaning you can’t make a person feel a certain way with a wish. Other than that there are no consequences, I'm not that mean you know.", he puffes out his cheeks in a pout looking at you.
You thank him for explaining to you, it's better than not knowing about it and you feel better with that out of the way. The being already figured out it will take way longer than he initially thought, looks like he has to get comfortable with staying with you for some time longer.
Well that's a first.
He just hopes he won't get to attached to you. It's been so long ever since he had someone else to interact with let alone have someone as a friend after all. The ravenette has to admit, he did feel surprised and even happy when you offered your friendship. Not that he will ever tell you out loud.
"I'm (Y/n) by the way. It's nice meeting you and having you as my... uh well Genie. What's your name?", your hand reaches out towards him ready for a handshake, his red orbs gazing into your (e/c) ones. Name? All previous masters referred to him as either Genie or slave. None of them asked for his name before, and those who did either forgot it or didn't care afterwards. Reluctantly he places his hand into yours.
Request: Howdy ho! Before we begin, I just want to say that your writing is truly beautiful and amazing and I loved every single one I've read! You are truly talented, and you should never give up!! Alrighty, so, I was wondering, could I request something? For a while now I've been crushing on Genie from Aladdin 2019 (I think it's 2019 [live action]). So maybe you could write up a little something for him? Maybe helping the reader through a panic attack? Maybe sprinkle some cuddles in there too? And just fluff! Fluff everywhere! Teeth rotting fluff!! Of course, you don't have to if you don't want to! No pressure!!
A/n: Sorry if this is a little OOC I wrote this at like 2:30am when I couldn't sleep but the good news is I think it cured my writer's block. Also to be clear this is set after the events of Aladdin but before Genie leaves on his exploration of the world, I kind of just didn't mention Dalia so up to you if she exists in this or not. Either way, hope you enjoy!
You sat alone in the peace and quiet of the sleeping city of Agrabah. Everyone had long since gone to sleep, eager to start another day of hustle and bustle. Everyone except you. Technically, you weren’t even supposed to be here. Your proper place was in the palace, with your best friend Aladdin and his new beau, Jasmine. But that was actually exactly where your problem lied.
Growing up on the streets, Aladdin had been all you’d ever had. Well, not counting Abu. You had been the same to him. Wherever one of you was, the other was sure to follow. Thieving, trickery, but also sharing with those less fortunate than yourselves. You were basically siblings, actually because neither of you really knew where you came from, you just pretended you were siblings.
The two of you had spent years together on the hardened street, nothing could split you up.
And then Jasmine showed up, Aladdin was knocked off his feet before he could even really see what hit him. You’d been happy for him, and if you were being truly honest, you still were. But now that everything had calmed down, there was no more evil to fight… You missed the days when it was just the two of you.
Aladdin had adjusted quickly to life in the palace, he fit right in with Jasmine to help him. The Sultan loved him, even Rajah loved him (and that was saying something because that cat was very fickle) but you couldn’t seem to get it right yourself.
Every time you tried to do something; you were always shut down.
“You’re not sitting straight enough.”
“(Y/n)! Don’t touch that!”
“Please, don’t disturb the royal cooks while they’re preparing dinner.”
You knew they had good intentions, especially Aladdin, but the words stung. You didn’t belong in the palace, you belonged here on the streets of Agrabah. You were currently sat in you and Aladdin’s old ‘home’, more like hideout.
If he wanted to find you, he could, but you’d been gone for hours, and he hadn’t shown once so you were doubtful he would. At least you could breathe now, out of the stuffy walls of the palace, the air was crisper. You didn’t feel trapped anymore…
“Why would you come here of all places? Seriously, it reeks, no offense. If I had my magic, I could make this place a little nicer. Maybe a rug… Not a flying one, you be quiet,” A voice startled you from your thoughts and you leapt to your feet, but it was only Genie. He wasn’t much of a genie now, since his powers had been stripped when Aladdin had granted his wish, but you all still called him that anyway.
Personally, you wondered if everyone was just too scared to ask if he had an actual name. Either way, you didn’t plan on solving any new mysteries tonight.
“Leave me alone, you have more important things to worry about. Seeing the world, or whatever,” you turned back to the view of Agrabah, not really looking but needing something to distract you from the tears that threatened to fall. What were you even so upset about?
He sat beside you, letting a beat pass before answering. “Aladdin said you might be out here, he wanted to come himself but he’s-“
“Busy with the princess, there’s a surprise,” you stood from your spot on the ledge and began pacing, “living in the palace is the worst thing that’s ever happened to us. I never see him anymore and when I do, he’s nothing like he was before. What happened with Jafar and Jasmine and you… It changed him. But it left me the same. Now it’s like, like I don’t fit in anywhere.”
You hadn’t noticed while you’d been talking that your pace had gotten faster until Genie stood, placing his hands on your shoulders to stop you. You’re breathing was heavy, like you’d just run a marathon. The room felt like it was spinning, you stumbled slightly, and he helped you back to sitting.
“You’re stressing yourself out, breathe, kid,” he rubbed your back gently as you placed your face in your hands.
“I’m not a kid, I’m an adult,” you responded dryly, but you didn’t care. You were barely an adult anyway, only a few years older than Aladdin. The two of you sat in silence, him rubbing your back and you trying to hold yourself together.
He sighed, shaking his head. “You know, kid, just because Aladdin has a lot of responsibility now doesn’t mean he doesn’t care. But I think you’re right, even though he wanted the best for you by bringing you to the palace, it’s not your pace. I can see it in your eyes every time somebody drags you along to something or you’re given a task to do.”
You wiped your eyes and sat up slightly, still feeling miserable. If even Genie had noticed it, that voice in your head must be right. You don’t belong here; you don’t belong anywhere.
“Why hasn’t he noticed?” You asked softly. Genie shrugged.
“Kid, when we love someone, we do things, and we don’t always realize those things can actually hurt the people we love. Even though we have good intentions,” he shook his head sadly, “you should know that better than anyone after helping Aladdin with his whole ‘I’m a prince’ she-bang.”
You scoffed, crossing your arms. “You helped with that too!”
He laughed, pointing to you gleefully. “I know, but at least I got you to stop looking like a wounded puppy.”
The two of you sat in comfortable silence for a while after that, listening to the peaceful quiet night of Agrabah. The hustling, bustling city was rarely ever like this. You would miss it in the morning when everyone woke up.
“Come with me, (Y/n), we can see the world together.” Genie finally broke the silence, it seemed like he’d been trying to ask you this for a while but had never been able to find the right words to say.
You hesitated. “I don’t know, I can’t just leave Aladdin alone- What if-“
“He’s perfectly capable of taking care of himself. He has the Sultan, Jasmine, Rajah and Abu. A whole army at his command, technically. You said it yourself, you don’t belong in a palace. You belong out in the open, exploring. It’d be nice if you had someone familiar,” he stopped to point to himself with a big grin, “to spend time with while doing it.”
You studied the rooftops of Agrabah, seeing everything now from a new light. He was right, of course. You’d just needed a shift in perspective. All of the panic and anxiety from the past little bit edged away slowly. Before you could stop yourself, you hugged him, and he hugged you back.
The two of you stayed like that until well after the sun came up. You needed the extra comfort and also, it’d been a while since you’d slept. Genie didn’t mind, it wasn’t like he had anywhere urgent he needed to be.
As the two of you walked back to the palace, side by side, you turned to him.
“Since it was your idea, you have to tell Aladdin,” You grinned and raced ahead to the palace. You could hear him begin to pick up his pace to follow you, calling to you about how that wasn’t fair.
Hopefully Aladdin wouldn’t be too upset about you leaving, after all, adventure was calling.
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
Inspired by bloodrosered and her Seven Minutes In Heaven fanfics for The Breakfast Club and IT, I decided to write my own for the characters of the Aladdin 2019 movie. Yes, I really went there and I couldn’t stop myself. As you probably figured out, it’s a modern day AU because that was the only way I could make something like this believable.
Synopsis: While fixing a fountain, Genie catches Maya blatantly ogling him.
The courtyard fountain sparkled under the midday sun, its gentle splashes creating a soothing melody. Genie crouched beside it, fiddling with the mechanism that had been acting up all morning. Sweat glistened faintly on his cobalt-blue skin, a reminder of the desert’s unforgiving heat.
Maya, leaning against a nearby column, was supposed to be helping. Instead, her gaze lingered shamelessly on the broad expanse of his back.
She was staring, and she knew it.
Her fingers curled against the marble column as she tried to suppress the flush creeping up her cheeks. They were in love—she knew every corner of his heart, every mischievous grin, every tender word. But right now, as she watched the smooth, flexing lines of his muscles with every movement, she couldn’t stop herself from drinking in the sight of him.
He shifted slightly, turning to reach for a tool, and her breath hitched.
Genie, perceptive as ever, caught her out of the corner of his eye. A smirk spread across his lips, but he didn’t look at her right away. Instead, he took his time straightening up, stretching his arms over his head as if to shake out the tension in his shoulders. The motion made every muscle in his torso ripple in a way that had her knees feeling suspiciously weak.
When he finally turned to face her, his smirk had blossomed into a full-blown grin. “Enjoying the view, doll?”
Maya’s heart jumped. She pushed off the column, feigning nonchalance, though her flushed cheeks betrayed her. “What view?” she quipped, her tone lighter than her pounding heart.
Genie stepped closer, one eyebrow raised, the grin never leaving his face. “Oh, come on,” he teased, his voice low and playful. “You’re practically undressing me with your eyes. Which, considering I’m already shirtless, is pretty impressive.”
Maya groaned, burying her face in her hands for a moment before peeking up at him. “Can you blame me?” she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.
Genie stopped in his tracks, his teasing grin softening into something infinitely sweeter. “Blame you?” He reached out, his fingers brushing against her cheek. “Sweetheart, you’re the only person I’d want looking at me like that.”
Her blush deepened, but she found herself smiling back at him. “You’re impossible,” she murmured.
“And you’re adorable,” he shot back, leaning in closer until their foreheads almost touched. His voice dipped into a whisper, rich with affection. “But if you keep looking at me like that, I’m never gonna finish fixing that fountain.”
Maya laughed, her embarrassment melting away under the warmth of his gaze. “Maybe I don’t want you to finish.”
Genie’s eyes gleamed with mischief. “Careful, Maya,” he murmured. “You keep saying things like that, and I might have to drop everything just to make sure you’re properly distracted.”
“Oh, I’m already distracted,” she teased, threading her fingers around his ponytail.
Genie chuckled, then leaned in to kiss her—a kiss filled with all the love, passion, and humor that defined their bond. When they pulled apart, Maya couldn’t help but laugh softly, her heart full.
“Alright, alright,” Genie said, stepping back reluctantly. “Let me finish this up, and then I’m all yours. Deal?”
“Deal,” she said, her voice light but her eyes still lingering on him.
And as Genie turned back to the fountain, Maya couldn’t help but think she was the luckiest person in the world.
