Tanabata, also known as the Star Festival, is a Japanese tradition celebrated on July 7th. People write their wishes on colorful paper strips called tanzaku and hang them on bamboo branches, hoping they'll come true. It's based on a romantic story about two stars, Orihime and Hikoboshi, who are lovers allowed to meet only once a year on this night.
me and my friends started talking about Dimension 20: Court of Fey and Flowers. So I wanted to draw a regency era AU version of Kalkhi. In this one he's not a warforged but a man cursed to look like a lionman ala Beauty and the Beast.
