I know this is quite late but after just reading a load of comments on akp on the Seungri thing the first thing that came to mind is that if it were a female idol in his position these same people would be saying that it's "her own fault" and getting out their pitchforks, sort of like the huge blacklash against Aya Hirano in Japan.

oppa is infallible, oppa can't ever do anything wrong. but if a woman does the same thing, she's the harlot and a slut and she's some wanton mistress of the night.
i really want people to see this because it's really not right at all. you can't have a double standard. when you put people (especially people you don't know) up on a pedestal, you're giving them this immunity, this power that says that they can do anything and get away with it.
well that's not true or fair and if you believe it to be either of those, you have serious re-evaluating to do
