In January of this year, the 1998 Danish cover of @meganwhalenturner ’s The Thief was shared in the Geninsula (a discord for Queen’s Thief fans).

We were in turns delighted, horrified, and amused by the design choices made here, but what really stuck out to us what what appeared to be a classic robber’s mask around Gen’s neck. He’s The Thief, you guys. In case you weren’t sure.

Anyway, Danish Raccoon Gen fascinated us and the talented @sassaffrassa drew us a “terrible emoji face” of him:

I love him, your honor.

So, I did what any self-respecting crafter would do, and made an amigurumi version of him. I really struggled with the eyes until I realized what the only possible solution could be:

It’s pretty hard to sneak around with googly eyes, you know. It’s a good thing Gen hasn’t offended the gods.

(I’ve been working on Helen and Irene off and on since then, and I think I’ve finally figured out how I want Irene’s hair so she’ll probably be finished next.)

It’s my strong belief that when pheris becomes a young man he just goes “to hell with it” and starts using a cane and whacks people with it whenever they get too romantic around him

Also one day he finds his sturdy wooden cane replaced by the most ornate bejeweled one with gold filigree 👀🥺

Several years later Eugenia gets annoyed at him and his bejeweled cane is mysteriously offered on the alter of Eugenides

Also on an unrelated note I’m planning to make a Pheris perfume is that weird?? I want the smell to include lemon bcuz late night lemon water and potted lemon tree and honey bcuz bees and honeycomb… any other ideas??

Hey, recently I reblogged a post that was transphobic without reading it well or giving it proper consideration. I’d like to apologize to anyone and everyone who saw this and was hurt by it!! It was done in ignorance (though ofc that isn’t an excuse) and it was kindly brought to my attention. I have since deleted it and would like to say that I fully support, appreciate, and admire our wonderful trans community! Thank you for bearing with me🙏🏼
