One of the automated system drones deployed by the Allagans to maintain and protect their strongholds. After being unearthed by the Sons of Saint Coinach, the mechanical sphere was modified by Nero tol Scavea into a personal transportation device.
Description for the Logistics System. Everyone thank Nero for the ADS mount.
Send me a ship involving my muse and I'll create a child from it!
What is their name?: Macias “Sia” ScaevaAdult Occupation: Airship pilot. - if he were to be officially classed in-game however, he would be a Paladin. What physical traits do they share with their parents?: He has silvery white hair, like Y’shtola, that grows in messy waves. He is pale in complexion and has Nero’s piercing blue eyes, along with two faint stripes on his forehead like Y’shtola. What mental traits do they share?: He’s rather mellow, unflappable and practical like Y’shtola, but emotionally driven like Nero. Overall, the combination makes him a friendly character, but he is awkward at times and sometimes fumbling with his words. What powers (if any) do they share?: Because he is not a full-blooded Garlean, he has the ability to use magic. But at the same time, his Garlean blood limits his capacity for magic - he begins getting headaches if using stronger spells. He has enough ability to use white magic like a Paladin though.Any psychoses?: Nah, he’s a pretty stable kid.Favorite thing to do with each parent: Engineering with his father, discussing airship plans (the one Macias pilots would be one of their creation, I imagine). With Y’shtola, it would probably be practicing conjury as to hopefully increase his capacity for it little by little. He’s stubborn about it.Least favorite thing to do with each parent: He’s a little awkward around most of their peers. Finds it a little intimidating, but he’s a good actor and masks it with a pretty chill demeanor. Faceclaim (optional): maybe this'n.Themesong (optional): n/a for now.
This is my follow-up of geniusofgarlemaid's Caught Out drabble.
Golden eyes carefully survey the area west of the Blessed Bud close to the bridge, eventually identifying the meeting spot that was off the beaten path in a secluded location. Asiren was a skilled hunter by the time she had left the Antelope tribe, so it was not too difficult to employ her tracking skills, easily making out Nero's footprints alongside "Tacita's" trail.
She casually walks over to the area and hunches over, inspecting the footprints remaining in the soil. After discerning Nero's footprints, she studies the foreign set of footprints, making rough estimates on the weight and stature of the owner, frowning as she commits the small details to memory.
"I don't know why you are going through all this effort just for him, of all people," Aslann states cynically, as he stood just a fulm or two away with his arms crossed. His eyes briefly land on Asiren's form before moving away to scan the surrounding area, his ears slowly rotating around, listening intently to their surroundings.
Asiren remains silent for a moment before replying, "The fact that there is another spy isn't a good enough reason?" She calmly stands up, crossing her own arms as she turns her head towards the well-beaten path up ahead, trying to determine which direction her quarry took. To Old Gridania or Fallgourd Float? Or perhaps Hyrstmill?
"He hasn't proven himself in any battle I've been in," retorts Aslann, his eyes moving back to Asiren.
Asiren catches his sharp gaze easily. She understood his hesitancy. Trust should not be so easily given to a former enemy. Aslann was mostly worried for her own sake.
"He's in the same situation as Cid," Asiren murmurs. "Cid trusts him."
"Cid's naive," Aslann points out. "Oh, he's intelligent, at least in the engineering field, but I doubt his common sense sometimes." His ears flick in irritation.
As much as Asiren wanted to argue with her cousin, he did have a legitimate concern. "For Cid's sake, I want to believe in him," she sighs.
Aslann shakes his head, slightly exasperated. "Admit it; you've gotten attached to him."
"I suppose..." Asiren hedges, her gaze dropping to her feet.
Noting the slight droop in Asiren's ears, Aslann lets own his own sigh. "I know you're a little lonely, but couldn't you choose safer people to befriend? Even Silvairre would have been a better choice."
Asiren swiftly looks up at Aslann and gives him a deadly glare, her ears flattening against her head. Aslann, not in the least bit intimidated, shrugs. "It's admirable how protective you are towards those that need it, but you really need to stop overburdening yourself with their troubles. Especially if there's no guarantee that they'll reciprocate."
"Not everything has to be about reciprocation," Asiren sullenly mutters. She closes her eyes for a short moment before opening her eyes again. "I'll try to be more choosy in the future."
"Just try?" Aslann asks teasingly.
Asiren rolls her eyes, turns her head away, and huffs. "Let's just ask Kennard to see if he noticed anyone matching the spy's description," she states flatly, deciding to drop the matter. "There may not be any more clues, but perhaps we can find the reason why she chose to operate around Gridania. It can't have just been for a short meeting with him."
Aslann chuckles quietly, following Asiren as she made her way towards the guard. Unfortunately, the guard was not able to help them due to the amount of traffic that travelled to Fallgourd Float on a daily basis. (Or perhaps he just has a bad memory.) So Asiren and Aslann found themselves walking towards Old Gridania, thus ending their investigation early.
As they walked, Asiren couldn't help but remember how happy both Nero and Cid were now that they've reconciled. Cid was always a cheery person to begin with, but his eyes seem to sparkle more recently.
"Isn't it worth the risk to see both of them happy?"
Aslann turns to look at Asiren, his gaze thoughtful, but with a hint of concern. "Not if it involves you getting hurt."
At Asiren's pensive expression, Aslann gives Asiren a small hug. "'Fraid we'll have to disagree on this, Asiren. I have no worries in regards to Cid himself, but his friend however... Until I know his true objectives, I'm always going to be watching my back around him. I implore you do the same for the time being."
Asiren lets out a small sigh, giving Aslann a quick nuzzle against his cheek. "I'll try."
My muse is having a nightmare, your muse finds them— they wake up and react to seeing yours
Her nightmares are not usually loud affairs - she thrashes and mumbles and a whimper escapes in a breath, sweat gathering on her brow as she kicks off whatever sheets she has covering her. The sensation of drowning wakes her up with a sharp gasp and she pants, still seeing the red stains of blood in her sight.Green eyes focus on Nero-- what was he doing there- oh gods, he saw her. She feels her face heat up in embarrassment and she averts her eyes quickly. "It's nothing-- I am fine." She says, but her hands are still trembling even when she grips onto the sheets to steady her fingers. "Did you need something...?"
