#nowplaying #tomtomclub’s debut album from 1981. #talkingheads #rhythmsection #chrisfrantz and #tinaweymouth put out this side project while their main band was on a break. They brought in Weymouth’s two sisters for harmony vocals and enlisted #islandrecords #compasspoint production team and got themselves a left field hit. Singles #wordyrappinghood and #geniusoflove were very popular in the clubs and the latter track has been sampled many times, most famously by #mariahcarey on her 1995 hit #fantasy. #music #80s #asabovesobelow
