Maria Lvova-Belova, Russia’s Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights, under an ICC arrest warrant, openly described how she abducted a boy from Mariupol, forced him to stay in Russia, and broke his worldview.

She recounts how Philip sang Ukrainian songs, said he loved Ukraine, and didn’t want to live in Russia. Then she boasts about how she “gradually changed his attitude,” and now he “doesn’t want to return to Ukraine.”

It is a confession of a crime and clear evidence of the Kremlin’s systematic and cynical policy to destroy Ukrainian identity and erase a nation.

Among Ukrainian children abducted by russia, some are being forcibly transferred to North Korea and placed in military camps. “It is one of many reasons why Ukraine cannot recognize occupied territories as russian, as it would make us complicit in these crimes,” said Kateryna Rashevska from the Regional Center for Human Rights.

Children who resist russification are labeled terrorists and extremists, and sent to psychiatric institutions for forced medical treatment.

russians have created an online catalogue where you can choose an abducted Ukrainian child

All children's photos on the site are of open faces and can be "filtered" by gender, eye and hair colour, and whether they have siblings. The children on the website are described as "obedient", "calm", and "respectful of adults".

Most of the children in the 'catalogue' were born before the occupation of Luhansk region and had Ukrainian citizenship. The parents of some of them were killed by the occupation authorities, while others were given russian documents to legalise their abduction, said Mykola Kuleba, former Ombudsman for Children's Rights.

a reminder that the abduction of children and their transfer from one group to another is one of the acts of genocide that russia has been actively committing throughout the war it has started.

Oleksandr, who was held captive by the russians, lost 50 kilograms, 7 centimetres of height, contracted tuberculosis, and had marks on his head from the sticks they used to beat him with.

russian occupier raped and killed a 9-year-old girl near Donetsk, Olkhovatka village. The body of nine-year-old Katya Demidova was found there. Eyewitnesses said that she was last seen at the bus station, with a man in uniform.

The man in uniform turned out to be 32-year-old Aleksey Chumachenko, call sign "Chuma", originally from the Sverdlovsk region.
