Ukrainians owe everyone. Apology, gratefulness, we are asked to kiss boots for the bare minimum like honouring the agreements in place, told to keep the stories of gore and violence we face daily to the minimum because it is offensive to tender "first world" sensibilities, and stop whining when we are killed, to die silently and don't disturb the peaceful lives of those who are outside of our country. They have more important problems, after all, like rising gas prices.

But when some ruzzian whines that's it's SOOOO HARD living in the country they've built, in the country that continues genocide in yet another country, everyone suddenly doesn't have to continue living in ignorance and yells at Ukrainians, active victims of said ruzzians, for speaking out against them 🙃 You know, like "hey, why are you speaking now when you were silent for all the previous years of war?" (or worse, actively supporting the war they started) and the answer we are given is bullying and telling us "oh, why are you so mean, that's a poor little ruzzian, what can they do?!" When we point to Maidan we are called Nazis. We. We who fight Nazis by every definition. You know, the ones who say that their 'race' and 'culture' is the only one there must be in the whole world (and who tried desperately for centuries to implement it), who are being racist to their own citizens, using them as a fodder meat first, before recruiting their own white blonde arian population. Who for their whole existence mocked anyone who is not white, blonde, and blue-eyes and doesn't live in European side of ruzzia. That's who you support. I'm not going to start teaching about how taxes work, because you should've learnt it at school, or at least during this whole boycott of businesses who supported israel. Somehow then you knew supporting businesses who paid taxes to support genocide is wrong, but when we tell you about paying ruzzians for commissions is just the same, you ignore us 🙃Why? Because it didn't come from some American politicians, but from victims of genocide directly?

Some double standards those people have. israel supporter on Eurovision scene? Boycott! Rightfully so tbh. Ruzzian in the new TV series? Wow, so brave, shut up, you are being xenophobic if you say anything against them! Funny how this works, huh?

In Donetsk, the occupiers dismantled the clock on Bakinskyh Commissars Square. My city is losing its identity and symbols that once seemed unshakable.

From comments on a local community page, I learned that—I don’t know for how many years—the clock had been different, not the one I remember from my early childhood.

The dark blue digital clock with numbers moving in a circle was originally manufactured at the “Topaz” factory.

It truly was a symbol of my native Bakin.

Now there is neither the factory, nor the clock, nor the city I left behind in the sweltering heat of July 2014.

Had been listening to Hank Green's podcast with the writer of Warrior Cats (never read the books), and at one point the writer explained that in books they have another race name Rushing Water (probably) and that the main race was so angry with the way their society worked, until they talked and saw no, they are just different, it's fine, we need to except them the way they are.

And I started fuming.

What do you mean the allegory for ruzzians in your book are just that they are different and that's fine, and you teach this shit your kids?

If that's so, then I have a very good understanding why we, Ukrainians, who are killed daily by those same ruzzians, are told "well, not all of them are bad. Some just support the genocide of your people in private and not publicly! It's not that bad if they supported it on their platforms!"

Once again there is no ultimate evil 🫩when it very clearly does exist, as history showed us again and again. So why you teach your own kids to think "hey, no, not all Nazi are bad, some were simply misunderstood! Your grand-grandma that was deported and forced into labour, they were just saving her! Your grand-granddad they kept in a camp and didn't give him any medical treatment, starving him, they were just limited with food and medicine!" "Hey, that man that was killed in a ballistic attack while he was running to safety? Those people who pushed the button were paid to do it by the taxes from all their families, so they had to kill him and thousands of other civilians! They had no choice!"

It clears things up very fast, knowing that children outside Ukraine grew up with the constant repetition of "there is no true evil in the world" which is blatantly untrue. That's why we have people in the world who do not trust victims and minorities, thinking they all know better. That's why it's so hard to get people to fucking care about anything. It's not "war is bad" that was taught to everyone as a child, because yeah, war is awful, when you live in it. And wars should be avoided at any cost, yeah, but not at the cost of "give up your territories so that enemy can continue genocide on your people, destroy everything there is, and then gain more power and try to bite another chunk of your country"

We can't stop fighting, because we had seen what happens when we do - Ukrainian history is bitter and riddled with regrets. We've seen what happens when Ukrainian lay out weapons down - we are getting executed. Because our enemy has no dignity and follows no rules. That's the fucking difference. We can't stop. If we do - we die. If ruzzians stop - they lose only their overblown pride that grew from fucking nothing.

Stop teaching your children that no one is purely evil in the world. You'll have very painful consequences as the result. Sometimes evil is just evil. You can't compare a parent stealing food from a supermarket to feed their children to a soldier stealing toilets from houses of Ukrainians they killed. You can't empathise with evil, nor can you change it, trust us, we tried for centuries.

Завжди з подібними дописами про наших дітей в окупації. Згадую останній клас, який моя мама мала в Донецьку. Тоді вони були в 4 класі. Страшно уявити яка їх доля спіткала після 12 років роснявої пропаганди... Нестерпно боляче.

As I always see posts like this about our children under occupation, I remember the last class my mom taught in Donetsk. They were in fourth grade back then. It’s terrifying to imagine what fate has befallen them after 12 years of Russian propaganda… It’s unbearably painful.

Time under occupation works against Ukrainian children

Oleksandr Mustyats, a 19-year-old from the Kherson region who is listed in the “war children” registry as missing in action, has ended up in the Russian army. This was reported by the organization Save Ukraine, citing data from the Back to Ukraine initiative.

His social media page has been inactive since November 16, 2025, so, as Back to Ukraine speculates, Mustyats may have already been killed.

“For a child who has lived in this reality for years, war becomes not just the norm, but a duty. That is why time under occupation works against our children,” says the head of Save Ukraine.

Ukrainians don't suffer enough for the world

In Wrocław, a Polish couple brutally beat a Ukrainian couple because of their accent.The injured girl's mother reported this on Threads.

“My daughter suffered severe injuries. Doctors are currently stitching up her neck. Both she and her boyfriend are suspected of having concussions.”
