ah! okay! so since his shikai takes an attack and fires it back at the opponent with greater force and speed, 12/21 functions by that same mirror element! 12 + shikai = 21.

this is less incredible now that i have more brain power, and obviously this could happen with very many other dates for a birthday, AND it doesn’t work so poetically if you’re using the 21/12 method of dating.. ah well!

ok but what if the ending is Ichigo dies and the bad guys win.

TBH I highly doubt that... Considering how shonen Bleach is, I think Kubo will give us a happy ending. Maybe some bittersweet endings in there for some characters, but overall I’m sure the good guys will win in the end. The trick is how we get there...

I actually had to take a moment before typing this, cause honestly if we’re still considering Aizen a bad guy, then... I would be okay with him winning. Yhwach, no, but I’m totally here for Aizen. But the realist in me knows better... Aizen won’t completely get what he wants, but there seems to be some room for compromise... So we’ll see what happens
