I'm tired of giving my all in relationships and not getting shit in return. No, getting anything in return is not an obligation, a rule, or even a demand. But when someone gives you their all it's only right and fair to give some of you back to them. It's not a monetary issue, or a materialistic issue either, but time and attention, affection and love is what is expected of you when your significant other is giving you just that, or vise versa. Let's be fair, let's not be like the very people we left beforehand, otherwise we're no better than they are.

I'm tired of giving my all in relationships and not getting shit in return. It's not a monetary issue, or a materialistic issue either. It's time and attention, love and affection that's the issue. It's not a requirement, a demand, or even a rule. But if you're giving these things and not getting them in return there's something wrong. It's only fair to get or give these things in return in a relationship when you're doing your best to give them to your significant other. By doing this we're making ourselves to be equals to the people we were with beforehand, the very people we left/broke up with is the very people we're becoming by doing this. Let's work on ourselves first and make sure we want or can handle a new relationship before we venture off with someone new and we're still the same old jacked up person we were before. Yes, you may be over your former love and feel nothing for them, but that doesn't mean that some of their nasty habits didn't rub off on you.
