it's the first press conference after bts returns from military service.

The tone is immediately much more somber than anticipated. BTS speaks tactfully about what it was like to fight in The War. Everyone is confused because to their knowledge, South Korea is not currently undertaking any military campaigns.

After a freestyle verse about trench warfare they make two announcements: first, one of their members has decided to sacrifice his beautiful gift of song and dance and will now stand motionless and expressionless throughout each performance. it is unclear whether this is the result of PTSD from The War or some sort of political statement.

second, one of them is gay now. They will not disclose which one.

They quickly release a new album which they say is a tribute to fallen comrades. Each track is the full name of an individual and the lyrics and choreography depict how they died. reporters quickly discover that the people these tracks are named after are alive and well, have never fought in The War, and have never met any of the members of BTS. let alone died in their arms.
