Day 13 – Something you've always wanted to learn.
Noise that loops both temporally and spatially, a continuation of something I tackled last year.
When working with stroboscopic disc designs, each 'frame' is shaped like a pizza slice and its neighbouring slices are the previous and next frames. This means frames are not only a moment in time, but also have a spatial relationship with the other frames.
Having animated shapes that cross between frames is a particularly tricky challenge. Last year I figured out a way to achieve it by sampling values from a 4D Perlin noise field, and this year I wanted to try and recreate that in Blender.
