and i am being so fucking serious when i say this but iron lung has about 30min to an hour of runtime where basically nothing happens and it is undoubtedly THE best part of the movie. and i am being dead serious. because the atmosphere and cinematography go crazy hard. there is a full hour where nothing happens and it is peak cinema. we just sit with the main character. and we just sit there. and we dread. and we hope. and there is nothing. it is the quietest part of the movie, but to me it's the loudest because the camera does all the talking. what an incredible movie
