I wanted full turnaround references for all of Catra's main looks, so I compiled them! Left image colored, right image transparent lines only. Links below will bring you to the official sheets I used as bases.

Edit: these sheets have been updated to add additional angles and fix small errors. Old reblogs will still show the old version, which can be found under the read more.

Row 1 (Season 1): angles 1 and 4 are traced from Jisoo Kim's official S1 reference sheet. Angle 5 is traced & edited from Grey Chen's portal color reference sheet. Missing angles and Adora/scale guidelines are based on row 2.

Row 2 (Season 4): traced from Ray Geiger's official full turnaround sheet for S4 (with color added for the line-only angles). Guidelines were traced from the official sheet as well.

Row 3 (Season 5): based on that S4 sheet and then edited to match her S5 look based off of screenshots and Ray Geiger's S5 redesign exploration sheets. New hair for the first two angles is traced from the exploration sheets.

Row 4: angles 1 and 2 are traced from the exploration sheets (with clothes removed for the head-on angle). Angles 3 and 4 are edited from Row 3 to show back stripe placement. The expressions on the color sheet come directly from Jisoo Kim's S1 reference sheet linked above.

Hope these are helpful! A third sheet with base views of her alternative looks (snowsuits, chipped, etc) is planned to come later.

Changes:

Added angle 5 to Row 1. I traced most of it from the corrupted portal color sheet and the White Out color sheet, but obviously she's not in her 100% normal S1 outfit in those, so I had to do a little editing still.

Edited angle 2 of Row 1 to make her torso a little skinnier. The lines are saved as "pre-snatch" and "post-snatch". I really debated her torso lines overall when first drawing them, and after adding the official almost-3/4th angle from her right side instead of her left, I felt like I needed to adjust it to match more. My girl is scrawny 🥲

Moved expressions originally on Row 1 down to Row 4

Fixed small line weight discrepancies throughout (not technically errors but it bugged me)

Fixed small coloring errors throughout (color not totally reaching the line or spilling slightly, etc)

Edited the S5 outfit colors. They looked great on my iPad and way too saturated and light on my desktop. Turns out I just have my brightness chronically low on my iPad, because when I bumped it, it looked just as bad as my desktop. I toned down the saturation and brightness a bit for all three colors and shifted the tones a little redder (like, microcosms). I tried to control for monitor brightness already by having the reference photos on my iPad and color swatching a bunch before I settled on a median color, but the brightness made a huge difference. It's honestly still hard because her dark purple parts just look grey or even red in some lighting, but I'm certaub it's purple as a base and all of that is down to lighting. I'm happier with all the S5 colors this time around, though.

Removed the copy-pasted angles 1 (chipped front view), 2 (alternative underwear idea 3/4th), and 3 (alternative half-dressed idea with mask 3/4th) from Row 4 and moved what was originally angles 4 and 5 to take their place so two back angles showing her stripe placement and the displaced expressions could be moved down. I did this because the chipped and underwear look will be part of the 3rd sheet coming down the line, so they will be back and better! And since they were literally copy-pasted and not traced, you don't lost anything from me removing it and can just go to Ray's official post for them if you still need them

this definitely looks better! i worried the collar/leggings of the S5 look were too saturated purple and that it kind of threw off the color palette (especially against her warmer skin tone & compared to S4) but i thought maybe i was crazy since i don't know anything about color theory. it didn't look bad per se, but it just didn't seem right - then again, i figured it had to be objectively correct if it was the median.

i don't see a difference in stripe size (that's on me, i'm not observant) except at some angles they're all slightly more visible, which is still a plus. honestly, as long as the user zooms in since it's a large image with many details then nothing should be missed.

it also didn't seem like the drafted/partial outfits belonged here if the point was main looks. i kept them on the original file for archival but i also cropped them out of a copy. no effect on anything, though.

Sheet 3 will come when I have time, it's going to be a pretty big undertaking even without doing full turnarounds of every look

like i said before, don't overwork yourself! no one asked you to cover every base (nor would you be required anyway) and there's no rush. whatever you feel like doing is enough.

#when i make those new sheets im probably going to make a new post btw #just so people who Haven't been following the reblog thread see it again in the tags for all the updates

i'm sure it's not very pleasing to cram everything in one space anyway. not a bad idea to divide between primary designs and alternate outfits for single episodes.
