Craig Ferguson, King of Late Night
I’ve been watching Craig inconsistently for 7 years. Sometimes I’d watch religiously, sometimes I couldn’t watch because of work, other times I’d just simply forget. In his final week, and Metallica week, I’ve been making sure to watch every episode regardless of my work schedule, because I can “always sleep through work tomorrow”, but now it seems I can’t always have my comedy King of Late Night.
I’ve been wanting to write a story/book/graphic novel for yeeeeeaars now, and in my wildest ‘if I ever became famous’ fantasies, I’ve always wanted to be a guest on Craig’s show first. It seems as if that won’t happen now (not that it ever would).
I don’t give a damn about other late night shows. Kimmel is funny sometimes, but Craig never fails to make me laugh. Whether it be a lame joke, a fart joke, a picture of Paul McCartney, a jab at the producer, his banter with Geoff Petersen, a poorly put-together world map, a dance with Secretariat, a “tootsie-fruitsy” “whatsacomandago”, or the classic Michael Caine In Space… there has never been a boring moment in my life with Craig Ferguson.
I know he is moving on to bigger and better things, and I’ll follow him to the end of the earth. Tomorrow, his last show, will indeed be a great day for America. And I wouldn’t miss it for the world.
Thank you, our great Robot Skeleton Army leader. Forever may we be stuck on Ass-Mode! Balls.
