Alexia is the owner/operator of a local shop that carries thoughtfully curated home goods, gifts and vintage clothing. “I spend a majority of my time inside the shop, so time off is spent relaxing with my two dogs, Blue Jean and Cousin. My bike is my preferred method of getting around the city and when I want to extend my reach, I head to the nearest Metro Station with my bike. MetroRail has greatly expanded my options in the city when meeting clients or checking out a new bar with my friends.”

“My brother got me a job at a tile store back when I was just a kid. After a few years, I traveled to Mexico, where I learned about the process of making handmade tiles. It was an experience I will never forget.” Years later, Barreiro is a co-owner and operator of a store that sells imported handmade tile from all over the world. “Soon, we are going to partner with tile makers in Saltillo, Mexico, which is one of Austin’s sister cities. We want to take once-fired tiles and collaborate with Austin artists to produce one-of-a-kind pieces.”

Gina is a lover of cats, breakfast tacos and good laughs. In 2014, she relocated to Austin from New York City with a background in accounting, project management and improvisational comedy — “You know, the three things you commonly find bundled together.” As fate would have it, her determination to break out of her corporate accounting career mold landed her in the world of film production. “I have a great appreciation for stories well told, and I love collaborating with clients and working on campaigns that bring a fresh narrative voice to their brand."
