It's both hilarious and depressing how, when you look at my original posts in order, you can see me get really disillusioned with grad school really quick. I started off this summer bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and have definitely become a bit sad.
I was honestly prepared to suffer in grad school, I knew that going in. I did my research beforehand. This feeling was inevitable.
At the same time, I am so happy I am able to experience this journey. It's been a privilege being here, in an amazing program, doing research on a subject I am passionate about.
I wanted to write this down to remind myself to be grateful of where I am and to trust in the process. I've been struggling lately, but I have to keep going. I WANT to keep going.
(Anyways, just a bit of reflection for my own sake. If anyone is also struggling and wants to either commiserate or give each other pep talks, feel free to drop by my inbox or message me. Take care.)
