Pebble beaches are my favourite type of beaches. I think the main reason is that they capture geography in real time. I love seeing small and round pebbles near the shore and large jagged rocks further away. I love collecting rocks, I feel like they tell a story - a journey. Similar to people, rocks have a lot of depth. They aren’t all the same but they are unique in their own way. Some rocks will be rougher, some smoother, other rocks will be angular in shape whereas some will be slightly oval. The beauty of rocks is that they are all able to co-exist and form something spectacular - a beach.

Introduction :)

Hi! 

Thought I’d give a bit of an introduction as to who I am/what I study seeing as I’m new.

I’m in my 2nd year of undergrad studying a BSc Honours geography degree (both human and physical, but only like 10% human). When I finalise my thesis I’ll update this post to add it in - it’s been a work in progress since February. My current plan is to continue on to do a Masters degree and then a PhD. As it stands, I have no career plan, just figuring it out as I go along. I’m in my final semester of 2nd year (online taught) and then have 2 summer courses to complete at MIT and Harvard. 

I study in the UK, but New Zealand is my second home (and once my education is done I aim to get back there). I love reading, art, poetry and being outdoors. A large amount of my spare time is usually spent training (student athlete problems). My dream internship is with mental health non-profit TWLOHA as it’s a cause very close to my heart, but I can’t get the time currently to spend a semester in Florida USA.

Sept 2018 // Hello after a year-long, finals-induced studyblr hiatus..! September means pre-reading, meeting booking, date checking, note taking and application exploring. I start my MPhil in just under a month, and I’ve ignored reading all summer after the brain slam of finals. But I get to spend the entire year on a niche of my own choosing, so it’s with no sigh that the leaves change to orange and seminars displace coffee dates in my diary.

my first geography assignment consists of labelling and outlining maps, definitely better than chorus // in other news i got a 98 on my english exam, i wouldve gotten a 100 except two questions were practically ridiculous and almost no one got them right

13/03/22: Day 13 of March productivity challenge

What's your favourite seasoning on food? Are you picky about seasonings?

I think the seasoning I use the most is this powdered garlic and coriander they sell at my local shop, I use it on almost everything - it’s amazing. It can take bland food and turn it into such flavourful dishes. I mainly use it on vegetables but it definitely works well on meats. I wouldn’t say I’m picky on seasonings because I will literally eat anything no matter the flavour.
