Aw this was cute kind of a trigger warning, talk of depression.
______________
You walked home, so many emotions running through you. Walking home from your job, you were fired from your job as a bartender. It was completely bullshit, your boss had fired you to hire one of their friends. They saw you as the "the least valuable employee, I mean all you do is make drinks, anyone can do that!" The words of your boss running through you're head. You finally felt like you didn't matter again, hot tears ran down your face. You opened the door to your shared apartment and slammed it as soon as you walked it. Your boss was right, you weren't valuable, and anyone could replace you.
It had been so long since you had felt worthless and without hope. Your boyfriend was immediately startled by your violent rage with the door, and stood up to find you. You locked yourself in the bathroom, words flowing through your head like "useless", "worthless", "undeserving". You told yourself that you were unhappy, because only people who matter deserve happiness. You were snapped from your episode on the bathroom floor, to George knocking on the door. "Hey love, everything alright? You're home early what happened?" He asked. You opened the door and began running your mouth, like an engine in a car that was just filled with gas.
"It was such bullshit!" You started, you ran around your apartment crying and yelling about your shit day at work. In the middle of your ranting George held your shoulders, and pulled you into a tight hug. You were shock at what he'd done, all you could do was cry,he held you close to his chest. As you sobbed into him "Love you listen to me, " he pulled you back and looked down at you "I love you, don't you ever forget that. Those people who work with you are all arses, and their opinion doesn't matter. But you, you matter love. Fuck them." He said. You were sweating, your face was red, and you hair a matted mess from running your hands through, and pulling in it in frustration.
He pulled you into him,"You matter my love, you matter to me." You clung onto him hard, and calmed down while standing in the hallway wrapped in his arms. The rest of the day was about making you happy, making your favorite food, and watching your favorite movies, and staying cuddled up all night. Telling you how much he loved you, and how you were your own person, and that you were so strong. He made you felt safe, before you fell asleep that night you whispered, "Thank you, thank you so much dear." You kissed him softly as you fell asleep.
