TRANSFORMATIONS: James St. James with Cig Neutron & George Troester from SyFy's Face Off
Face Off S11E01 “Abstract Aliens”
"Team Troetron"
The Face Off All-Stars finale was last night (no spoilers). I thought all three finalists deserved their spot. I also felt the winner's work was definitely the best designs & execution. We won't have to wait long for another season... it's arriving in June.
TRANSFORMATIONS: James St. James with Cig Neutron & George Troester from SyFy's Face Off
I admit it they are my favs.
This is the best convergence of worlds EVER.
I enjoy "Face Off" Syfy. It's a competition show where make-up artists have to create new designs each week. This season is "allstars" and the contestants have been paired up. My favorite team is Cig and George. They don't take themselves too seriously but have come up with some terrific designs (3 wins so far). Another team I'm following is Bill and Evan. Bill was on season 9 and he was great, coming in second place. But Bill and Evans pairing hasn't been inspirational. In many episodes they seem stumped by the challenge and frequently have to play catchup. They've been on the bottom three times. Fortunately in the recent episode they have improved.
Drawing the Face Off: All Stars Cast: George Troester III
George deserved this second shot, in a season where there were many, many standouts like Season 7, you had to have either a lot of talent or personality to really make yourself noticed. Dina brought incredible, untouchable talent, Cig brought a balance of both, George brought big talent but even a bigger personality. This guy is just so funny and so likeable, when he went out in 4th place I was bummed! I mean, the judges even liked him so much they convinced theriselves his final makeup was a homage to Japan monsters instead of a silly squit suit. It is wha tit is. I’m so happy to see George again, he’s probably one of the funniest contestants that’s ever appeared on Face Off (if not THE funniest) so at least the entertainment and laughs is something I can look forward next season! Love George, one of my final 3 hopes, at least hoping he’ll go far enough to wear really short tight shorts.
