We Were Never Strangers
Georgewood Filmmaker AU: The Film School Years
George is already the black sheep of his family; he’s the only one to go into an arts degree. He’s all but prepared to fade into the background there too like he did at his old school, but one of his new classmates seems to refuse to let that happen. George does want to make a name for himself, he just isn’t sure how.
Lockwood reveres everything about the British film and TV industry. After all, it was the world his parents were a part of. Donald and Celia Lockwood were the most praised actor/director duo of their time, until their lives and careers were cut short by a car crash. All he wants to do is continue their legacy, but he’s only a student. How the hell is he supposed to live up to all that?
When they meet and become friends at uni, the two boys might just discover that they’re each other’s missing pieces.

Figuring out the new name

Don’t think I’ve talked about it before but I do love that we get to see George “zero social skills” Karim chastise Lockwood for how he handled the whole praising-Lucy-on-the-news situation and it’s perfectly in character, because Lockwood’s so used to being able to charm his way out of situations that he’s legitimately confused, and George may not pick up on social cues, but he knows how to follow directions, and “she specifically asked you not to.” Idk it’s just such a reversal of their usual dynamic where George is just casually and unknowingly offending people that it tickles me.
who else thinks
we should have more george and lockwood content like they were friends even before my queen lucy showed up... ik lockwood pretends to have a mild distaste for george but we all know they're the real homies
in addition lucy is an unreliable narrator bc anthony lockwood was lovesick the whole series and girl did not notice bc she was too busy pining over his slender fingers and exquisite bone structure (?) so we really only got her perception of it
i am referring to solely the books btw
GIVE ME MY GEORGEWOOD FRIENDSHIP CONTENT
