Well the con is over now <3 I had fun and made new friends in there <3 Sadly I didn’t win in the cosplay competition, but the winner was also really good one so I’m not upset :P

I totally agree :) ...I can't go back to the English dub anymore. It sounds so strange. I actually think that having subs as the norm for international media in Finland sounds like a great way to make people there more ok with actually watching stuff from outside Finland. There's a big problem in Ireland with older people not wanting to see anything if it has subtitles. Which is kinda sad.

it also teaches languages. I wouldn’t be here talking with you without hearing English and reading subtitles from TV for my whole life. And I don’t know anyone here who would prefer to have TV or movies dubbed in Finnish (except for some children’s cartoons!). It would be other way around to be honest. I think that if they would change into dubbing everything NO ONE would go and watch movies! It would be horrible :X

Hey!I saw you posted a set with Shinji's "I'm so fucked up" quote, and it made me wonder, what language version of Eva you would have seen first? I mean, I saw it first through some American friends with a boxset so I got the Eng dub all the way back when I was 14, and going back and hearing the original was an eye opener once I got into the fandom.

I first watched Eva on TV when I was little and since we don’t dub anything in Finland it was in Japanese with Finnish subtitles. I always prefer watching stuff in it’s original language since somethings lose meaning when you try to translate it into another language and act it out. With subtitles it’s easier to get the message across.

Sorry to butt in as a random user! I wouldn't worry about the ability too much, writing is almost always loads of redrafting and getting feedback. So, even if you aren't happy with it, that means that there are things you can improve!

yeah, I know. The only issue with that is I hate the idea of showing people, I can just feel them judging me and my entire soul. So I'm in this gross cycle of I want to write, but I don't think it's good, but I don't want to show anyone and have them judge me. And I know its stupid.

I just liked a bunch of posts. I feel like I'm waiting for Season 2 to come out. Also it feels like strange tourism. I hope it works out in an amicable way!

Kushida Tatsuya, according to where I got it from! It's from the 2014-2015 evangelion calender :)
