You know who gives off Joffrey Baratheon marries Sansa Stark vibes? Queen Rosmund (daughter of Cunimund, king of the Gepids), and Alboin, king of the Lombards

-Alboin took her as his wife. Alboin was noted for his cruelty towards her; his most famous act of cruelty was reported by Paulus Diaconus, who states that at a royal banquet in Verona, Alboin forced her to drink from the skull of her dead father (which he carried around his belt), inviting her "to drink merrily with her father".

-The king turned to Grand Maester Pycelle. "And I want Robb Stark's head too. Write to Lord Frey and tell him. The king commands. I'm going to have it served to Sansa at my wedding feast."

Rosmund later helped assassinate the king. Unlike Sansa she helped plot it.

Burial assemblages with female skeletons found in south-western Germany and in Bavaria show that in the late 500s, decorative pins were used to fasten a piece of cloth covering the head and the upper body, often on the right side, across the right shoulder... Avar-age aristocratic women wore long mount-studded straps reaching down below their knees. The fashion harks back to Merovingian practices of attaching amulet pendants or fibulae to hanging straps, as was the case in the early and mid-sixth century with noble Lombard or Gepid women... Early Avar-age burial assemblages produced a few amulets of 'Germanic' character, such as axe-shaped pendants, tool amulets, and cowrie shells.
