The after-party music was blasting in your ear, the bass of the speakers vibrating your feet as you looked over the sea of people all with their own reason of importance.
You didn’t know what fucking city or country you were in, what the day was, where your phone or wallet or even passport was, you just knew that you’d drank every glass handed to you because it was better than dealing with Geralt sober. You were still faintly hungover from the night before but Geralt convinced you to drink the hair of the dog that bit you. You didn't fucking care anymore.
A European leg of the tour felt like it had gone on for ages but it had only been two weeks of nonstop shows. Usually between every couple of shows, there were days off planned to recuperate in whatever city you had landed in but you were in a stretch without it. You didn’t speak the language, you didn’t even know where Geralt was. You just drank whatever was in the flavorful pink glass you were handed. You stopped questioning Geralt’s commands a while ago.
For a brief moment, you considered finding someone, anyone, who could speak English and try to find a way to get to the embassy and get home but there was no point. Geralt would just find you again and again and again and again. He was smarter than most gave him credit for, he kept your passport and ID and all of your money with him claiming you didn’t need it and he’d pay for everything but really he was keeping you from escaping. He said you’d earn more freedoms back over time as if you were a grounded child. It’d only been two months since he forced you from your normal life and drowned you in his.
“There’s my girl.”
At this point, you were convinced he could read your mind and knew you were thinking about running away.
You only replied with a grunt before taking another drink. “What do you want?”
His hand latched to your wrist tightly, enough to remind you of your place but not too noticeable to a wandering eye. “Behave.”
“Whatever you say.” You rolled your eyes pulling your arm away. “What’re you gonna do about it? Punish me in front of all these people? Do it, be my fucking guest.” Your words barely came out the alcohol already making you tongue-tied but you just left his gaze and drank more.
In your peripheral, you saw him rub his palm angrily over his mouth before taking the now-empty glass from you. “Fuck off-“
He was quick to grab you by your hair and pull you in his aggressive embrace to kiss you. He may be a piece of shit but god no one could make you weak like him. His tongue swirled with yours as you felt something slide against to roof of your mouth before he pulled away. “What the-“
You ran your tongue over whatever he shoved in your mouth before you realized what it was and quickly tried to pull the dissolving pill out. “What did you just give me?” You tried to wipe out your mouth but the drugs had disintegrated too quickly for you to entirely spit out.
“Just helping you loosen up.” He chuckled as if it was a harmless prank before forcing you flushed against him. “I’d never give you anything dangerous, I took it too.”
You slapped him but his head barely moved as if you hadn’t just put all your strength into it. “You fucking drugged me!” You broke free of him.
“Where do you think you’re going?” He grunted trying to corral you back to him.
“I’m going to go try to puke this up, get off me or I’ll do it all over you instead!” He finally let you go as you stumbled drunkenly away from him and toward the neon red sign on the wall adjacent to the bar that spelled something you couldn’t understand but thankfully the universal toilet sign next to it was all you needed.
This club, although packed full, was small. The bathrooms were only one per person and thankfully the night was still young for most of the people here who hadn’t gotten started as early as the rockstars do so there wasn’t a line.
The walls were covered in colorful logo stickers and autographs from the low-grade celebrities who’d visited.
Falling to your knees you began to force yourself to puke but as you felt your body become numb you knew there was no point and that it had dissolved quickly.
Gripping to the side of the wall you brought yourself back to your wobbling feet, your heels too tall for you to be this drunk, and stumbled to the sink running cold water over your hands.
Your eyes fluttered at your reflection in the bathroom mirror, your sweaty palms gripping the edge of the porcelain sink, trying to figure out how to breathe normally. Your makeup was dark and heavy and your skin shone in a cold sweat.
You’re not sure how long you were in that bathroom staring at your own reflection but long enough that there was loud banging on the door accompanied with yelling in a language you didn’t understand. Forcing yourself from your trance you opened the door with your slick palms. The pair of women who looked angry and impatient when you first opened the door quickly turned concerned and asked you questions you couldn’t decipher.
Language barrier or not you could assume what they were asking. Do you need help? Are you okay?
Shrugging them off you hoped they’d just assume you were drunk off your ass but they wouldn’t be wrong.
As furious as you were, you knew you needed to find Geralt, it’s not safe to be alone like this, he knows that you know this. The heavy beating of the music bounced off your skin as if it was a ripple in water as you stumbled to VIP.
You held onto the metal railing as you tried to climb up the stairs as carefully as you could in the dramatic heels he dressed you in and the room started to spin. It felt like your skin was burning you alive while simultaneously tingling as if from the cold as you made your way to the second-floor balcony with the empty VIP entrance guarded by a man who let you pass without a word.
Geralt sat with knees spread with a glass of expensive brown alcohol swirling in his hand. “There you are,” he grinned, enjoying watching you struggle.
“Geralt, please.” You begged stumbling to him, grateful the lounge was empty as everyone partied downstairs.
“Careful, pretty girl.” With barely a blink of an eye, you were somehow in Geralt’s hold, leaning your body weight onto his chest. It felt like he magically appeared from the couch but you knew it was likely just the drugs affecting your perception of time. “You’re feeling good, yet?”
You shook your head, your bottom lip beginning to quiver as you started to cry, too overwhelmed and overstimulated. You didn’t like being out of control of your own body. It was easy to sober up when drinking, but this was intoxication you weren’t familiar with. “Hate it’. Hate you.” You whimpered. “Everything is spinning, Gee. Make it stop.”
Geralt cooed condescendingly, his large hand brushing over your head as if he were dealing with a confused child. “Gotta find an anchor, gotta find something to keep you grounded so you can enjoy the high.”
“I don’t know anything about boats.”
He laughed once more at your plea and you didn’t understand what you said that was so funny.
You were in a foreign country where you didn’t speak the language and you felt like you were tripping. You were furious with him right now but you were too terrified not to come to him for comfort. He yanked you by your arm, guiding you towards the rails, bright lights flashing throughout the club. You laid your head on his chest trying to ground yourself to anything despite being ready to kill him. “Want it to stop.” Your mouth cotton dry.
It was a new level of desire and arousal laced with confusion that you had never felt before.
His sporadic heartbeat felt like the only thing you could focus on and how he smelled of body heat and liquor that would normally make you nauseous. “You gonna be my good girl?” His large hand placed on your hip, his heavy boots kicking between your legs spreading them from each other before teasingly tracing up your thighs.
Nodding briefly you separated your legs farther apart, your hips searching for the fingers that hurt you so many times over and now beyond grateful that the VIP was secluded. The small balcony section looked over the neon bright downstairs, countless intoxicated bodies pressed together like ants.
Geralt’s masculine hand caressed your jawline, moving his lips grazing over yours just barely enough to get you to chase your head to his. A cheeky grin grew on his face as he swiftly forced a hand at your lower back indicating for you to bend at the hip against the rails. You could only focus on how badly you wanted to kiss him, how badly you needed to feel him. The drugs made your body burn addictingly. You were so out of it you felt out of body as Geralt maneuvered you to his liking.
Geralt slid your dress up, yanking your lace panties to the side, and pressed himself against your back. His hands guided yours to grip onto the railing that sectioned off the VIP and that looked over the downstairs crowd securing you in place.
It felt like you were standing on a unraveling tightrope over a skyscraper, you held on tightly to the black metal bar with clammy palms. You tried to fight against Geralt’s repositioning but it didn’t take much for him to correct you even when you weren’t drugged. “Keep your eyes on them, pretty girl.” He commanded, forcing you to turn your head back. “You don’t want them to know what you’re doing up here, now do you?”
Realistically you know there’s no way they could see the two of you from down there, at least not well enough to know what you were doing. The strobing colorful lights in the dark disguised your position as if the loud music and dancing wasn’t distracting enough. “All in their own world but you’re up here only belonging to me.”
You tried to catch your breath but you felt paralyzed in fear as if you were looking off the side of a cliff but it quickly left your lungs when Geralt had thrusted himself inside you. Your terror kept you too distracted to have even realized he had taken his hard cock out. A cry left your lips and your knees trembled.
“Look at all of those people down there.” He retorted as he began to fuck into you. Geralt always felt good, but your heightened sensitivity made you feel inhuman amounts of pleasure just seeping from your skin. “You gonna be good? Gonna make me proud of my girl?”
“Geralt,” you groaned, your head tilting back to rest on his shoulder thankful he was practically holding you upright by your bent waist as your legs turned to jello. “Feels so…”
“Feel so good squeezing my cock.” He grunted. “I’m so glad I thought about drugging you, doesn’t it feel so good?”
His offhand comment reminding you of him forcing drugs into your system made you want to revolt and pull from him in anger but it quickly faded away when he thrust into you just right. “God, you’re so wet for me it’s pathetic. Such a slut for me, isn’t that right?”
Normally if your body wasn’t melting from his you’d have snide remarks and comebacks but right now the only thing you were capable of thinking about was how close you already were and how you knew neither of you were gonna stop at just one.
“I said, isn’t that right?” Geralt repeated harsher, his large bicep wrapped over your shoulder, forcing you to keep your head on his chest, his heavy breathing fanning over your ear.
“Yes, daddy.” You whimpered desperately as his hand sped up its pace under your panties and expertly stroked your clit the way he had his guitar for thousands of people only a few hours ago. “Gonna…cum…don’t stop.”
“Atta girl,” the sharp stubble of his beard pricked at your neck as he kissed along your weak spot. “Normally I'd make you beg but I know that’s too hard for your little brain to handle. My dumb little girl, cock drunk for me, can’t even fucking speak.”
Geralts tainting tease barely registered with you as you came forcefully with the stroke of his hand. You thanked god that the music was too loud for someone else to hear your cries and that he was keeping you standing with his other hand leaving your chest and holding you by the waist with his knees slightly bent for you to collapse against.
“Gonna fuck my cum in you.” He growled in your ear with his thrusts growing tougher. “You need dick so badly you were acting like a bitch in heat for me. You need your big daddy’s cock, need to be filled, it’s your only fucking purpose.”
Your body still burned for him even though you came harder than you ever had in your life you still needed him desperately as your life depended on it. “Want you to cum in me,” you nuzzled against him with the intoxicating scent of his sweat filling your nose. “I know how much you love it, please cum in me, I need it to stop hurting. Need to be filled.”
A grunting cry flowed over your ear with the jerking abrupt of his thrusts accompanied by the feeling of his cum dripping on your thighs.
Geralt spun you back around to face him after he pulled himself from you. “Fuck, I’m still hard for you.” His lips hungrily consumed yours, one arm forcing you against him, the other groping your chest with heavy petting along your neck. You knew he was restraining from wrapping his hand around your throat. You were still in public and if someone caught sight of a celebrity with his hand wrapped around their girlfriend's throat it wouldn’t end well.
“I wanna go back to the hotel,” your chest rose and sank repeatedly as you tried to catch your breath. “Need you to fuck me sober so I can be angry at you.”
“Anything you want, pretty girl.”

Geralt rolled his shoulders, standing up straight. He was chopping wood, as the temperatures would start dropping soon. He lived far enough from civilization that once the snow started, he would be cut off for months. And that’s how he liked it. He’d grown up in those woods, and knew them like the back of his hand. While his childhood home was much, much closer to town, he’d opted to build far out on purpose. Being alone felt more natural to him. He never felt like he fit in. He’d die on that mountain. Alone.
Leaning over, he picked up the wood to toss on the pile that was growing off to his side. They would be stacked at the back of his house to dry out, and easy enough to access from his backdoor.

“I have seen it with my own eyes! The Witcher and his whore have a babe together, and it's rumored to be of both their blood!”
“How is this possible!?” Stregobor barked, leaning forward in his seat. “Witchers are impotent, their mutation makes them so! We all know it.” He said, looking about the room of other gathered mages.
“Are we sure that this baby is the White Wolf's?” Another of the mages asked, drumming their fingers on the arm of their chair. “The woman could have simply been with child and the Witcher may have claimed it as his.”
“Yes, where did this rumor start?” Another questioned. “Where did you hear it, Jordi?”
“A visitor at the Temple of Melitele.” Jordi answered, as he stood in the middle of the ringed chairs the mages sat in. “He claims to have heard the Witcher speaking to the priestess, Nenneke, almost a year ago now, about how he was assuredly the father of the babe and that he had no reason to believe her infidelity to him. The priestess asked how such a thing was possible, also stating the fact that Witchers are sterile, and the woman was at this time clearly and undeniably pregnant. The Witcher Geralt, replied by telling her, he wasn't entirely sure, but had a suspicion.”
“And what was that suspicion?” Stregobor asked, lifting his bushy eyebrow.
“The visitor couldn't say, because he was found to be spying on the conversation at that point and was thrown out of the temple.”
“This is troublesome, Stregobor. If the Witcher is capable of reproducing, it means they can create more Witchers, without the need of alchemical solutions. If the Continent finds this out, it could spell mass panic.”
“I am well aware of that, Artorius.” Stregobor replied, scratching at his thick, white beard. “We must find out if this claim is true first, and if it is, if the child is truly the Witcher's true born son, then we must destroy it.”
You bounced your son as he cried in your arms, at a loss for why he was upset. You had changed his pamper and fed him, and he wasn't interested in sleeping. There was nothing you could tell that was causing him pain either.
“Please, little one.” You begged him, rubbing the back of his head with your palm and pacing the inn room you and Geralt had gotten in the town you were stopping at. “Fuck.” You snapped, as a loud banging sounded on the door, causing your son to scream even louder.
“Yes?” You asked, pulling the room door open.
“Everyone on this floor is complaining about the wailin'.” A tall and burly male on the other side growled down at you.
“I'm so sorry.” You frowned back at the innkeeper, swaying on your feet. “I'm really trying to calm him, I don't know what's wrong and I've tried everything. My husband is away with a job, so I have no help with him.” You explained to him, meekly.
The man let out a rumbling growl at you and walked away, you sighed and closed the door, returning to your pacing in the small room.
“Come now, Lycus.” You cooed at him. “If we don't quiet down, your father is going to come back from killing his monster to us standing out on the street with our things, because we've been kicked out on a noise complaint.” You tried convincing him. “And, there it is now!” You added, as another knock sounded on the door and opened it again, this time finding a woman standing out in the hallway.
“Yes, I know. The noise.” You nodded at her.
“No, no.” She shook her head at you. “My husband, the innkeeper, has sent me up to help you with the babe.” She explained to you. “I've had six barns myself.” She told you, smiling softly, seeing the exhausted and at-a-loss look on your face.
Your shoulders slumped with relief. “Oh gosh, thank you.” You sighed, stepping back and letting her step into the room with you.
“Do you have a baby blanket for the wee thing?” She asked, lifting a brow at you.
“Yes.” You nodded, going over to the bed and picking up a soft blanket that you made yourself.
“Here.” She held her hand out for it and you handed it over. “Spread it out like this.” She instructed you, laying it out on the bed. “Now,” She turned towards you and held out her arms. “May I?” She asked, her eyebrows lifting.
You looked at her for a moment, no one had held your son other than yourself, Geralt, Jaskier, Nenneke and Vesemir since the day he had entered the world, but the woman had said she reared six kids into the world and if it helped whatever ailed your sweet boy, then—you held him out to her. She took him from you with skilled hands, maneuvering him onto the blanket. You watched her closely as she folded and tucked the blanket in around his squirming body.
“The swaddle.” She said, finishing and gently picking him up, then held him out to you. “Does the trick.” She smiled, as your son slowly calmed down.
You sighed with relief, almost bursting into to tears, as you cradled him in the nook of your arm, smiling into his tears stained little face. “Thank you so very much.” You told her, looking back up at her.
“You're a lifesaver.”
She chuckled at you, shaking her head. “He's very handsome.” She commented, gently rubbing his cheek with the back of her index knuckle.
“Thank you.” You grinned, swaying and looking proud of your son. “He's just like his father.” You added, with just as much pride.
“I'll let you rest now.” She said, nodding her head to you and went to the door, squeaking as she ran into Geralt in the hall.
“Are you all right?” Geralt asked, hurrying into the room, his gold eyes examining you and the baby.
“We're more than fine, now.” You smiled at him.
“What happened?” He asked, closing the door and the gap between you.
“He got incredibly fussy after you left, and nothing I did calmed him down.” You explained to him, leaning forward to gently rest your now sleeping son on the bed. “People on the floor, understandably, started to complain.”
Geralt looked at the door over his shoulder and growled.
“The innkeeper came up to inform me of the complaints, and I informed him of the problem.” You continued, turning back to Geralt and started unstrapping his leather armor from his body. “And, I suppose, instead of kicking us out, he went to get his wife and she helped me calm him down, by showing me how to swaddle him.”
Geralt looked at the sleeping infant, burrito wrapped in the soft, mint-green blanket and smiled. “That was very kind of them. They could very well have kicked us out of the inn.” He said, looking down at you, as you set his armor down, not quite used to the hospitality.
“They could have.” You agreed, nodding. “How was your monster?” You asked, lifting a brow at him, before turning to fill a bowl with water from a pitcher and dipped a cloth in it.
“A pesky selkiemore.” He replied, as you started rubbing the wet cloth over his bloody hands, washing off the selkiemore's blood and guts off his knuckles.
“Fun.” You grinned up at him, dipping the cloth back into the water and wringing it out, before reaching up to clean off a smear on the side of his neck. “Seems you have it all in your cracks and crevices.” You commented, seeing bits stuck in the Witcher's white hair.
“You know me.” Geralt chuckled, grinning at you.
“Mmhm, I do.” You nodded, smiling back at him. “Sit yourself down, Witcher.” You said, motioning to a chair by the small fireplace in the room.
Humming, Geralt pulled off his boots and moved to sit down, while you removed a brush from Roach's saddle bag on the floor by the bed. You stood behind Geralt, gently removing the tie from his hair, then started to methodically brush it, being careful with any knots you found or bits of the monster's blood or guts that matted his hair, using your fingers to detangle a few of them. Geralt allowed himself to relax under your care, his shoulders and back slouching, and extending his feet towards the flames of the fire in the grate; his eyes falling shut.
You smiled at him, it was always nice to see Geralt relax and let his guard down, as rare as it was. Only the most trusted of people were gifted with Geralt closing his eyes and falling asleep. Especially while touching him, and you were at the very top of that list of rare people.
You kiss the top of his head. “Come to bed, me'bleidd.” You whispered into his white and silver strands, resting your hands on his strong shoulders and gently squeezing, not wishing to startle him awake, knowing the detriment it can cause if he was woken suddenly.
“Hm.” The sound rumbled deep inside his chest, before he stirred on the chair, flexing his ankles and toes, as he took a deep breath, dropping his head back to look up at you. “I ordered the use of the tub in the washroom.” He informed you, blinking slowly, much like a cat.
“Well, off with you.” You told him, kissing his forehead.
“It's not for me.” He sighed, putting his boots back on and standing up. “It's for you.”
“Why?” You frowned at him, tilting your head.
“You need to relax and have some time to yourself.” He said, undoing the buttons of his shirt. “Nothing better than a tub of warm and soapy water to do the trick.” He smiled over at you. “Especially since we've been bathing in cold streams and lakes.” He laughed, going to the door of the room.
“I'll have the innkeeper bring up the water and fill the tub for you, then I'll watch our little one.”
“Thank you.” You whispered, as he opened the door, a soft smile on your lips.
Geralt smiled at you, crossing back over to you and kissing you intimately on the lips for a long moment, before breaking it off and going out, going downstairs to the bustling taproom of the inn and found the innkeeper speaking to one of the patrons by the door. He politely waited for the two men to finish talking, but he made it known that he wished to speak with him next.
“What can I do for you, Witcher?” The innkeeper asked, approaching him, folding his beefy arms over his chest.
“Well, firstly...” Geralt replied, planting his feet. “Thank you for helping my wife with our son. We both appreciate it.” He told him, tipping his head in a respective manner.
The innkeeper returned the gesture.
“Secondly, the wash room I paid for the use of. I would like to use it now, if I could have the hot water brought up for it.” He added, explaining his reason for being there.
“Of course, Witcher. I'll have my boy, Simon, haul them up presently, then knock on your room door, when the task is complete.” The innkeeper reassured him.
“Thank you.” Geralt answered, inclining his head and went back upstairs. “The innkeeper's son will knock on our door, when your bath is ready, me'minne.” Geralt said, stepping back into the room.
“Wonderful.” You smiled at him, loosening at the laces of your shirt and turning to sit down, so you could pull your boots off.
Geralt came around the bed, grabbing the chair as he did and sat down before you, he leaned down and closed one of his big, calloused hands around your delicate ankle and lifted it, resting your heel on his knee and started to massage your foot. You moaned softly as he did, his skilled hands hitting all the right points.
“What have you done, me'bleidd?” You asked, your eyes falling closed and your head falling back.
“What makes you think I did something, me'minne?” Geralt whispered back, lifting a brow at you.
“You've spent a precious coin on a bath for me and now you're massaging my feet.” You pointed out, lifting your head and cracking an eye at him. “The last time you did that, I was bearing your son.” You said, a smirk pulling at one corner of your mouth. “And I am certifiably not with child again, unless you've been back to Toussaint without my knowledge.”
“Hm.” Geralt hummed at you, narrowing his golden eyes. “You've grown to know me too well.”
“We've been together for almost eight years.” You retorted, opening both of your eyes and laughing. “How are you to be a stranger to me, after that length of time, Geralt? Surely, you know just as much about me as I do you!” You quipped, amused.
Geralt shook his head at you, letting your foot go to favor the other one. “It's true. But, I've done nothing, and I've certainly not been back to Toussaint.” He answered, pressing his thumbs into your arch. “Since, our last visit, at least.” He added, glancing over at your son, still comfortably swaddled in his blanket and dozing peacefully on the bed behind you.
“I just wanted to...pamper—you.” He explained, gulping around the word.
You narrowed your eyes at it, suspicious. “You've seen Jaskier, haven't you?” You asked, knowing all too well that such a word as, pamper, wasn't generally in Geralt's repertoire.
But, it was in the Bard's.
“I have.” Geralt nodded, rolling his eyes. “He's in the village.”
“And he hasn't come to see me!” You huffed, outraged and hurt. “The jerk.”
Geralt laughed, grinning. “He was accosted by two women outside the inn and swept away not long after we ran into each other, when I was returning from dealing with the monster.” He explained to you, softly. “I'm sure, once they're done thrashing him, he'll come and say hello to you and Lycus.” He assured you, raising your foot to press a gentle kiss to the top of it, before putting it back down.
“But, before he was taken away, he was right. You are the one primarily taking care of our son. You need time to yourself, to relax and freshen up. I've neglected you in that way, and I'm sorry, me'minne.” He told you, his brow creasing and his molten eyes growing somber.
“Geralt.” You sighed, shaking your head, and leaning forward, cupping his face in your hands. “You have never neglected me, in any way.” You whispered to him. “It is my honor and privilege to care for our son, to care for you. It gives me the purpose in life I have looked for. I want, need and ask for nothing else.”
You gently kissed him and pressed your forehead to his, sharing a quiet and close moment with him, before a soft knock echoed from the door, announcing your bath was ready.
“I love you, me'bleidd.” You said, smiling and rubbing noses with Geralt, playfully.
“And I you, me'minne.” He replied back, nudging his forehead against yours. “Go and enjoy your bath, the both of us will be fine, until your return.”
You lingered for a second longer, before leaving the room, finding a boy standing out in the hall waiting for you. He didn't say a word, but turned and walked down the hall, guiding you to where the wash room was, then left you to relax in privacy. It felt quite strange, as you let your simple dress slip down your body, pooling around your feet, to have the luxury of a huge, full and steaming tub of water, all to yourself.
The steam rising from the water filled the room, leaving you in a thick mist, as you dipped your first foot inside; moaning as the unbelievable warmth enveloped your leg. It was as if you were in heaven. Once inside, you turned your attention to the tray attached to one wall of the tub, holding a thick, white and oval shaped bar of soap and a small, square, wooden handle and stiff bristle, body brush. You lifted the soap to your nose and took a deep breath, a smile touching your lips.
“Lavender.” You laughed, feeling the irony as a distant memory leapt out to the forefront of your mind.
“Geralt.” You mewled, feeling his hot hands grab and knead at your hips, as he pulled you against his body.
“Hmm.” He growled back, his mouth devouring your neck for a moment longer. “You smell...” He moaned against your skin, his nose gliding up your neck and burying in your hair. “Like Lavender and Cardamom.” He purred, turning his head to nibble on the rim of your earlobe.
“Is that a good thing?” You asked, lifting a brow at him.
“Yes.” He nodded, tugging on your ear. “I love it, it's refreshing and sweet.” He whispered, kissing behind your ear and back down your neck, while pushing your dress off your shoulders and body, leaving you to stand naked before him. “It suits you.” He smiled, taking a step back, to admire your nude body.
“Because you are both of those things, and much more.”
You grinned shyly at Geralt, glancing away from him as his golden orbs appraised you with a growing look of love and lust. Geralt reached out, cupping your chin between his thumb and index finger, to turn your face back towards him and smiled at you, slowly leaning in to kiss you on the lips. His hand moved from your face and found yours, bringing it up to the buttons on his shirt, guiding and encouraging you, as you continued to kiss.
Geralt was the first man you had ever lain with, and while he had been wild, hungry and possessive, like a wolf at the end of winter, he was gentle, encouraging and patient with you as well. You rarely catch the scent of Lavender or Cardamom without thinking back at that moment, with fondness.
You lounged back in the tub, disappearing up to your chin the godly water and closed your eyes, moaning softly, feeling the heat seep into all of the sore and travel-worn places your body had from the long rides on Roach from town to village to city, and sleeping rough. It was amazing to feel normal again. But, you weren't aware of falling asleep in the bath, until you heard a strange scraping noise, almost like the sound of mice with metal nails scurrying across the floor, but much louder.
Sitting up, you reached for the towel on the seat of a chair beside the tub, and slowly stood up and wrapped it around your dripping body, then stepped out of the tub, shivering as a cold draft hit your wet skin. You stood silently, listening, but the sound had stopped, as if sensing your movement, however several long minutes later, the scratching metal sound started up again, coming from the door. Biting your lip, you tip-toed over to it, trying to make the worn and warped floorboards of the bath room squeak as little as possible, before gently touching your ear to the door.
The sound of the scraping became louder.
“What?” You whispered, your brow pinching.
You quickly picked up your dress and secured it, before yanking open the bathroom door, and found a man crouched in the hallway, a lock pick in his hands.
“Who the fuck are you?” You barked at him, crossing your arms over your chest.
The man jumped up and grabbed you roughly by the arms, shaking you. “Where is he!?” He demanded, as he shoved you into the room, his grasp bruising your skin.
“Who?” You cried, shaking your head and beating on his chest, confused and frightened. “Geralt!!” You screamed, lashing out and clawing at your attacker's face and anything else you could. “Help!” You yelled, hoping anyone would hear you.
A thunder of footfalls came down the hall and a voice called out your name in alarm, like the ringing of a clear and beautiful bell. “Get off of her!” They growled, picking up the nearest object, a chipped, porcelain vase and smashed it over your assailant's head. Your attacker groaned, letting go of you and stumbling away, holding the back of his bleeding head and crashing into a wall.
“Jaskier!” You gasped with relief, throwing your arms around his neck. “Thank gods.” You sniffled into his shoulder.
“Don't say that just yet!” Jaskier said, seeing the man starting to pull himself together and grabbed your hand, dragging you out of the room. “Geralt!” He yelled, storming down the hallway and looked over his shoulder, only to see the man make it to the doorway and start to summon something.
“Oh gosh! GEERRRALLLLT!” He roared louder, feeling his body prickle with anticipation of the apparent Mage's incoming magic strike.
The door to your and Geralt's room flew open, and Geralt came storming out, just as you and Jaskier came bolting by. He looked between you and Jaskier, then the direction you had come from and saw the Mage about to let loose his bolt of Chaos. Without hesitation, Geralt threw up his forearm to form the sign of the Quen, creating a shimmering shield as the Mage released his surge of Magic, protecting himself, and you and Jaskier behind him, from the blast of magic; depleting the shield with the hit.
“Get in the room!” He barked at you and Jaskier, then charged down the hallway towards the Mage.
“Who the fuck was that!?” Jaskier asked, slamming the room door behind the both of you, startling Lycus awake and causing him to cry.
“How am I supposed to know?” You replied, rushing over and picking him up. “I found him trying to pick the lock to the washroom, while I was enjoying my bath, and he started attacking me.” You explained, trying to soothe your son, hearing the commotion of Geralt fighting the Mage in the hallway.
Geralt rushed the Mage, not giving him the time to hopefully cast anything else at him, throwing a white-knuckled fist to the Caster's face, tossing the smaller man backwards into the tub of water, then advanced on him, grabbing him by his soaked tunic and yanked him up to face level.
“What do you want?” He growled at him, his upper lip twitching. “Why have you attacked my wife?” He demanded, jerking him roughly. “Speak!” He roared as the Mage remained tight lipped, before striking him again out of annoyed rage.
“Witcher!” The voice of the innkeeper barked in the doorway. “What is the meaning of this bedlam?!” He ordered Geralt, having received and heard all the noise from downstairs in the tavern.
“This Mage scum attacked my wife, while she was having her bath.” Geralt replied, yanking the Mage out of the tub and standing him up, for the innkeeper to see. “I want to know why!” He hissed, shoving the Mage into the wall and held him there with a hand to his throat.
“Tell me, if you want to live.”
“They know, Witcher.” The Mage finally answered, with a choking laugh, blood speckling his lips. “They know your secret.”
Geralt frowned at him, shaking his head, confused. “What secret?” He huffed, only growing angrier.
The Mage laughed, before striking Geralt with a rush of Magic, and quickly slipped through a portal before he or the innkeeper could get their hands on him again. Geralt roared with frustration and fury, punching the wall where the Mage's head had been, then shoved past the innkeeper and stomped back down to your shared room.
“Easy, Jaskier! It's just me.” He barked as Jaskier wildly swung a fire poker at his head.
“Thank the gods.” You cried, rushing Geralt and wrapping an arm around his waist, sandwiching Lycus between your bodies. “What happened?” You asked, looking up at him. “Did you find out what he wanted?”
“All he said was he knew our secret.” Geralt replied, wrapping his arms around the two of you. “Did he say anything to you?”
“He asked where he was, but I didn't know who he was talking about.” You told him, shaking your head, then saw Geralt's face change. “What?” You squeaked, blinking up at him.
Geralt gulped, his eyes shifting down to his son.
“No.” You shook your head at him, holding him closer to your body. “He's no secret, Geralt.”
“But, we also don't go around telling people that he's ours.” He answered, gently stroking your stiffening back.
“Particularly, that he's the biological son of a Witcher.” Jaskier blurted out.
“But,” You choked on the growth of your overwhelming emotions. “Why would--” You paused, it was fruitless, you knew why, you had been with Geralt long enough to know the hate and prejudice people had for Witchers, and your baby boy was the son of one, and looked so much like Geralt on top of it.
“How then would anyone find out about him?”
“They could have seen him, while we've been traveling.” Geralt said, kissing the top of Lycus's head, deeply bothered. “Perhaps, I should send you both to Kaer Morhen and finish out the last three months until winter comes, then I'll join the both of you.”
“No.” You whimpered, shaking your head at him. “Geralt, no.” You snapped, strengthening your voice.
“I won't be going about the Continent, worrying while I kill monsters, whether or not another fucking Mage, or something worse, as come after the both of you.” Geralt replied, firmly. “So, you'll be safer at Kaer Morhen, with Vesemir.” He argued, staunchly.
“Jaskier will accompany you.” He added, looking at his old friend over your head.
Jaskier looked terrified for a moment, before he yielded. “Of course.” He nodded, biting his lip. “I'll even stay, until you come and join them.” He added, trying to smile at you encouragingly.
“Thank you.” Geralt said softly, inclining his head to the Bard.
“Geralt!” You barked, eyes wide. “I'm not going without you!” You told him, stomping your foot in defiance.
“I told you, I would--”
“You know what I'm saying, Geralt.” You growled, cutting him off.
Geralt cupped your face in his hands and drew you closer to him. “I won't have you and our son in danger, and that is what the two of you are in, right now.” He told you, his facial expression set. “There's only two places on the Continent that are safe for the both of you, with me and at Kaer Morhen. I need to finish the next three months, so we have everything we need for winter, then I'll come and join the both of you at the Keep, just as always.” He told you, his voice softening and his thumbs gently caressing the apples of your cheeks.
“I promise, me'minne.” He said tenderly, before leaning in to kiss you.
“Don't think for a moment, I don't know you'll be spending that time looking for the people threatening our son.” You said against his lips, your eyes on his face, critically.
Geralt chuckled through his nose, smiling back at you. “I would never question your intelligence or how well you know me, dear one.” He said, before playfully tapping you on the nose.
“Jesus, you really bring out his mushy side, don't you?” Jaskier said, looking between the two of you, wide eyed.
You looked smugly over your shoulder at Jaskier. “Like it's hard.” You laughed, rolling your eyes. “It's good to see you, by the way.” You said, turning to him, now that everything was a bit calmer. “And, thanks for helping me back there.” You added, reaching out to squeeze his arm.
“Hey.” He smirked, his cheeks coloring. “I gotta protect you and my nephew.” He said, smiling at the two of you, reaching out to gently touch the back of Lycus's head. “Hey, little man! Come to Uncle Julian!” He said, holding his hands out for him.
You chuckled and let Jaskier take him from you, knowing how much he loved the Bard, especially when he sang to him. The four of you finished calming down, before Geralt went downstairs to get you all something for supper, not wanting you and the baby downstairs, risking anymore unwanted attention and attacks on you both. But he begrudgingly allowed you both to go downstairs to watch Jaskier perform a few songs, before going up to bed.
But, on rarity, sleep wouldn't find you, as you laid in bed with Geralt, Lycus in his usual spot between you. You shifted onto your side, lightly touching your fingertips to Lycus's rising and falling chest, stilling the paranoia in your mind about his safety, before reaching out to lay your hand Geralt's side, making the Witcher hum in his sleep and stir, but not wake. You couldn't help your brain from jumping around to different memories, from paranoia, fear and trying to soothe yourself.
Like one memory in particular.
There were hundreds of lit candles in the hallways and the entry of the Temple of Melitele, giving it such a beautiful ambiance as you walked the otherwise dark and quiet building. Even though you were exhausted, sore and about to give birth at any moment, you were wide awake and restless, the baby was moving way too much for you to lay down or sit for any length of time, so you hoped taking a small walk around the Temple would help you both settle down.
“Tough night?” A gentle voice asked, startling you some.
“Yes.” You nodded, turning to face Nenneke, the head Priestess of the Temple. “The little one is very active tonight.” You told her, resting your hand on your pronounced stomach, feeling the active kicks against your palm.
“May I?” She asked, holding out her own hand to you.
You nodded your head at her, moving yours away and smiled as she gently laid her palm against your belly. A large smile crossed her beautiful face, feeling the baby beat against her hand, like a drum, memorized by the feeling.
“It never matters how many babies I help birth into this world, they still fascinate me.” Nenneke said, moving her hand with the baby. “They are so sweet and innocent.” She sighed, before drawing her hand back. “I'm surprised Geralt has let you out of his sight. He seems more attached to you than the baby's umbilical cord.” She laughed, her cocoa-colored skin glowing as she did.
“He is.” You laughed with her, nodding. “But, he's finally fallen asleep, so I managed to tip-toe away without bothering him.” You told her, turning to walk with her. “He's gotten even less sleep than I have, since we found out I was with child. He's always awake, watching me at night, then killing monsters during the day.” You confessed to her, showing your worry for him.
“I'm afraid he'll overdo himself.”
Nenneke chuckled softly, resting her hand on your back as you both rounded a pillar. “Geralt has slept like shit all his life.” She told you, honestly. “He can take a lot. But, I know he brought you here for more than just because Melitele is the Temple of Fertility and Birth. He brought you here, because this is a safe place, a haven, and it is a place Geralt has always come to when he needs a safe and healing sanctuary.”
“So, he can fall asleep, knowing we will take care of you, while he rests.”
“He has been a lot less tense.” You agreed, finally seeing it. “He smiled this afternoon, and he hasn't really done that in months.”
“And, you?” Nenneke asked, tilting her head closer, her eyes studying you.
“I'm terrified, Nenneke.” You gulped, thickly.
“You're a new mother, of course you are!” She said, shaking her head. “It would be mad to think you wouldn't be.”
“True.” You nodded, biting your lip, trying to get a handle on your hormone-crazed emotions. “I do feel safe here. Especially knowing, should anything happen, I have you to look over me.” You said, grasping her hand.
“That does take a lot of stress off of me.”
Nenneke smiled at you, giving you the most motherly vibe, her hand cupping your cheek. “You will be fine. You're a strong woman and your child will be strong too.”
You sighed, closing your eyes, and savoring the warmth of her palm against your skin, feeling your fears melt away, knowing that hand would take care of and protect you, and the life inside of you. Nenneke smiled at you, seeing you relax and let out all your stress, with a heavy breath.
“Are you all right?” Geralt's deep voice echoed in the quiet room, his pale face and molten eyes looking at you with concern and worry.
You opened your eyes and stared back at him. “I'm fine, why?”
“Your heart was thundering in your chest.” He whispered, not wanting to wake the baby, as he peacefully dozed. “It's calmer now, but you were bothered by something. Did you have a nightmare?” He asked, reaching out to gently squeeze your shoulder.
“No.” You murmured back, blinking slowly at him, then licked your lips. “But-” You gulped and looked away from him.
“Tell me.” He cooed, brushing his knuckles against your cheek.
“I need you.” You sighed, meeting his eyes again.
The ghost of a smile pulled across his lips, but Geralt nodded at you, understanding.
He had needed you for sometime, but it had become hard to do with Lycus always in bed with the pair of you. He squeezed your arm again, before carefully rolling out of bed and going to one of the saddlebags, removing a neatly folded blanket from inside; spread it out on the floor at the foot of the bed, creating a makeshift one for the two of you. You followed his lead, getting up as carefully as you could, so you didn't wake your son, and moved around the bed to Geralt, meeting the Witcher on the staging grounds of the blankets.
“I've missed you, my little firefly.” Geralt purred, his expression softening to a look of kindled lust.
“And I have missed you, Wolf.” You tittered back at him, your own eyes smoldering with the concupiscence pent up inside of you.
Humming, Geralt lifted his hands to the ties of your chemise, slowly untying them as he leaned in and kissed you with a reserved passion, his hands finally got your ties free and pushed inside the soft fabric, his skin tingling as it came into contact with yours. He moaned into your mouth. You moaned back at him, your palms pressed to the burning skin of his sides, smoothing them over to the small of his back, so you could slip your fingers into the back of his pants.
“Beautiful.” Geralt rumbled, having freed your body from the garment and stood back to appraise you.
You glanced away from him shyly, raising your arms to cross them over your chest, you had felt self-conscious about your body ever since having Lycus all those months ago. Your breasts weren't their normal and perky selves, like they were when you and Geralt had first met and made love, many years before. Geralt gave you a disappearing hmm, reaching out and closing his fingers around your wrists to gently pull your arms away from your body, making you lay your hands on his bare shoulders. He cupped one of your breasts in his palm, swirling the pad of his thumb over your hardening nipple, making you whimper and shiver.
“Such silly nonsense.” He hummed, his voice a deeper timber. “Trying to hide such a gorgeous body from me.” He said, smirking wolfishly at you, while giving the teased area of skin a pinch, producing a gasp out of you.
Geralt removed his hand from your chest and made short work of his pants, pushing them down his legs and kicking them aside, before wrapping an arm around your waist and hugging you against his body. His lips found yours once more and devoured them, like they were the sweetest of Toussaint's treats. His hands were hot on your skin as he pawed at your ass, slipping down to your thighs to pick you up and wrap your legs around his lean, scarred waist.
Pressing a hand to your back to steady you, Geralt turned and lowered himself to his knees, while laying you down on the pallet.
“How I've missed your soft folds.” Geralt whispered against your throat, sucking gently on it, while a hand strayed between your legs to caress you, then brought his wet fingers to his mouth, licking them clean with a hungry moan.
“I could live off your essence for the rest of my life.” He said, a low growl in his throat.
“Mmph!” You chuckled, brushing your fingers through his loose hair, feeling the ends of it graze your shoulders and breasts as Geralt kissed all over your throat, working his way downward, leaving kisses and love-bites. “Oh.” You gasped softly, your back arching as Geralt's mouth found your pussy, flicking and swirling his tongue at your pearl, with eye-crossing skill. “It's unfair, you barely say a word most days, but your tongue is as skilled as your swordsmanship.” You huffed, gulping thickly, and hooking your legs over his shoulders, using them to hug him closer to you.
He tickled your folds with the rumble of his chuckle, while he continued to lick and suckle between your legs, making your thighs quake, your hand going to the back of his hair as you rocked against his mouth. You bit into your hand as you moaned loudly, coming against Geralt's face, not wanting to wake Lycus. Geralt moved back up your body, wrapping your legs around his waist and slipped in you with ease. Both of you sighing as he settled completely. The feeling of refreshing the physical bond and connection between you and Geralt was everything you had been looking for after all these long months. He leaned in close to you, noses brushing for a second, before capturing your lips in a tender kiss and he started to gently rock his hips into you.
You wrapped your arms around his shoulders, savoring his kiss, as you slipped away into the bliss of Geralt's manhood burrowing inside of you. It had been far too long since you had been elevated to this height, that you allowed yourself to feel anything other than the stress of taking care of your son and the worry for Geralt's safety, while he plied his trade. You hummed softly into Geralt's mouth, a smile tugging up one side of your mouth, breaking the kiss as you pushed your head back, his gently thumping against your chest.
“Wolf.” You sighed, tangling your fingers through his hair.
He grunted back, kissing the damp skin of your chest, before running the tip of his nose up the side of your neck and drawing in a deep breath, taking in your scent. “Firefly.” He moaned back, his warm breath leaving a rush of goose-bumps over your sweaty flesh.
The both of you were nearing your peak, when a soft sound reached you from the bed, making your heart clench with horrified anticipation. Lycus whined softly, wiggling slightly inside the warm and soft swaddle of his blanket, while making a soft sucking sound. Without missing a beat inside of you, Geralt shifted and lifted his head, cocking a brow over the plain of the mattress to his son, eyeing his restless movements, while still thrusting into you, waiting to see if Lycus woke.
But the little boy settled and went silent again.
Geralt looked down at you and chuckled, both relieved and amused.
“Close.” You whispered, gulping thickly.
“I know.” He replied, nodding, understanding. “I love you.” He whispered, as the two of you finally came together.
“I love you too.” You whispered back, floating in the warmth of your fading climax, the assault by the Mage furthest from your mind for the moment.
Summary: as a polar bear shifter you were expected to hunt the rogues of your kind. But this particula rogue has also caught the eye of a certain witcher. Whats a female to do when the one her kind fears is her mate?
A/N: so this is 'technically' should have been the first of my shifter series as im going through the family tree (geralt, his son, grandson, great grandson ect ect) but i wrote walter first. I do hope you enjoy this one im excited for the rest! (Not sure when theh will be done though)
You yelped cowering with a slight hiss as the huge male pinned you down, snarling and angry. A beast in full attack mode. He was confused and disorientated. Unsteady on his feet but even so this man had been a trained witcher, he wasnt going to let a little nausea and dizziness stop him from swinging his sword.
You laid flat and bared your neck, looking away from him showing your tummy and closed your eyes praying his instincts would override his panic. Because he was just like you now. Just as large and dangerous, you had no advantage anymore.
He paused growling before stumbling to his knees, dropping beside you tiredly. You could hear his breaths, deep drags through his flared nostrils scenting you, each breath deeper then the last. You flinched as his sword dropped in the snow beside you with a mighty thunk.
Then his fingers prodded your chin. You both gasped as the first contact was made. The little shock rolling over your skin as he tipped your head towards him. Your dark eyes locking with the amber molten irises of your mate. You locked gazes but he quickly saw it a challange and bared his teeth once more at you.
You shuddered and shrunk below him as he crouched over your slight form, his knees digging into the frozen snow either side of your fram e now fully straddljng you. You lowered your eyes knowing full well he was feeling himself for the first time, relishing in the nature that plagued your kind. It must be a terrible thing to endure, to experience monstrous instincts when youd gone your whole life hunting those that fell to the these basic needs. Kill, eat, fuck.
"What have you done to me?" You whined at the low growl, the timber of his voice was enough to make you want to present to him, to bend over and let your mate have you. It was the kind of voice that you could mistake for a cursed silver tongue.
"I...i saved you" you uttered quietly to him, trying to remain still and be as small and meek as you possibly could. Geralt wasnt convinced and looked the the trail of blood from the snow covered mound he knew was the dead bear that he'd been hunting. Then the tree around him was drenched in blood. His. He didnt know what had happened after he'd passed out from blood loss, but waking in a pool of his own blood next to a stunning ethereal looking woman who smelt like a divine meal seemed off. Not only that but he felt different, everything seemed more, colours brighter scents more intenes, hearing sharper. He felt big and powerful but also like he had less control.
"It doesnt feel like it. What are you? A siren? Vampire? Or some other deceitful little beast?" He growled inspecting the lithe woman below him, his mind trying to think over all the possible monsters he had learned in the bestiary. But none could make him feel the way he did. None could amplify his senses and make him want to fuck her brains out at the same time.
"Non-none of those please- please let me explain" you pleaded eyeing him carefully wanting to tell him everything now that he was alive and well. Healed and undergone the whole process of turning.
You'd agonized over him as he turned, frightened his mutations would hindder his transformation. And in a way it had, youd had to help him, breaking some of the bones for him when his shift got stuck, even going far as to bite him another three times as he almost awoke, your venom wasnt as effective on him as it would a regular human. But it had been worth it. Once finished his form was the same as yours. A huge pure white polar bear shifter.
"Go ahead" the words felt more like a threat, a dare. He was daring you to lie to him. He wanted you to spin him a great tale of heroism. And he wasnt far off, you sighed and looked to the dead polar ear next to you and looked back to your alpha with a sigh before beginning to retell the story of how you got here with him, and what youd done to him.
It had started a few weeks agos for you. There was an enforcer gone rogue. The story was he'd found his mate- human mate and had been to slow to claim her she'd been killed for being a mage. She wasnt. But the traveling witch hunter had deemed her eyes to be an 'unnatural shade of green' and suddenly she was being dragged to the nearest tree for a rope around her neck.
The enforcer got their too late and had gone mad. He turned and began his hunt, not after taking his grief out on the village. Killing those that had conjured stories about the so called witch to save their own hides. But the village had got a witcher in, thinking it was a curse from the deceased witch. But the shifter had already begun tracking this witch hunter acoss the wilderness.
And so it became a race, both you and the witcher were hunting down this rogue, not that the white wolf noticed you were good at staying hidden. You had sped up needing to get their first and kill this rogue. Witchers didnt know of your kind, and they didnt need to. The last thing you needed was a mutated human poking their nose into your business.
But alas luck wasnt on your side and youd been to late. Geralt had got there first and had mistook the rogue shifter for an ordinary bear. A fight ensued and geralt was out matched by the fury and rage the beast had. Youd arrived just intime to see the bear knock the famed witcher off of his feet into the snow, bleeding from the claw marks.
You had felt it instantly. The rage and fear, the scent of the witchers blood made yours boil in your vains, yet your stomach dropped and your heart froze. All you could think was mate. Mate. My alpha was hurt! He could die!. With that thought you burst into your shift and lunged with a ferocious roar. The battled didnt last long. The threat of your mate bleeding out had made you viscious. You didnt care about delivering a good death. You only cared about protecting your mate, you bit and tore into your opponent savagely not playing around. The longer it took the less likely your mate would survive..
After dealing with the threat you rushed to your witchers side and crowded him, snuffing at him and pawing him gently. He'd drifted into unconsciousness which was good for you because it gave you the chance to take care of the rogue alone without prying eyes.
Youd laid with him in the snow, curling around him keeping him warm unsure what to do. He was a witcher, but you were unsure what potion he needed, each smelt vile and none were labled or had any hint to what they did. You had shifted and tried to tend his wounds but could do very little for him. He was a mutated human and you wasnt sure what to do. All you knew was that pain killers were bad for them, they can become reliant on them to the point of addiction. And he didnt have much in the way of bandages.
So you stayed and tried mothering him. Remaining shifted in your bear form to look after him. Carrying him to the trees for some shelter and lapped at his wounds trying to help him. And nurse him to health.
But his heart had grown weaker, he had lost too much blood and was growing weak. Finally you had made your choice. You will not loose him, you cant. So with a heavy sigh you made the decision to bite him now. You will ask for forgivness afterwards, but right in that moment you had to turn him and let him heal.
"You turned me? Into what!?" The rage in his veins multiplied as he began to understand what had happened as you told your story. He wasnt human. Or a witcher. You'd made him into something else, somthing stronger but unstable. He could feel it.
"A-a shifter... it was the only way, alpha please- i wouldnt have but your my... my mate and you were dying! I had to!" You pleaded weeping below him frightened of the rage rolling off of him.
He paused for a moment and calmed, for some reason the scent of your fear was unpleasant. Like the scent of acidic unrine and and rotting meats, the scent that would linger in his npse for days as a warning. He took a deep breath and hushed you, one hand moving to pet your hair on instinct needing to sooth you as you began to panic. He wasnt sure why but it helped as you craned your head into his palm with a sigh, and then the dreadfull scent wafted away leaving him the a sweet honeyed fresh smell oozing from you.
"You may not be a witcher anymore, for that i am sorry but you are a ploar bear shifter the same as me. As the biggest and strongest of all shifters were are expected to become enforcers" you breathed out in what was a strange relief. You were happy that he'd shifted into the same bear as you. A polar bear, huge and powerful. The strongest of all shifters, barely anything could overcome one. The only reason you had been able to kill the other was because of your protective rage at seeing your mate injured.
"Enforcers?" The male asked unsure of what anything meant in that moment. He was to busy running his hands over you, fingers drifting over your long pale locks and knuckes skimming your cheeks and neck. He couldnt stop, there was something addictive and soothing about touching you. Like an easing of his soul.
"Yes, its... similar to a witcher but we hunt our own. Shifters can turn, go mad and loose control of their beasts. They go rogue, we are expected to hunt them and put them down. They are a threat to our survival." Yoh uttered moving a hand up to your alpha shakey fingers reachingmout for him needing to touch him yourself, to leave your scent on him.
"So that one who attacked me?" Geralt asked before dipping his face down letting your small hand rest on his jaw, his breath hitched as the stubble met your soft hand. You sighed exploring him running your fingers over his, face, drawing along the contorsmof his strong facial features and handsome lines.
"A rogue yes.I have been hunting him, he is the one who you were after to. Your contract" you explained wincing slightly as you shifted growing uncomfortable in the frozen snow, the harsh ground making your back ache.
Geralt growned and retreated rising to his huge height and offering a palm to you. With no sign of struggle he hoisted you to your feet and twisted his hand, curlingnhis fingers around your wrist locking aroundmit like a shackle almost as if he was worried you'd bolt and try to flee.
"You mean shifters? Not werewolves but shifters? As in humans that can shift at will with full control? I hate to break it to you, but shifters are wives tales. Stories told to children to stop them from talking to strangers." Geralt huffed rolling his eyes and smileing at you amused that you'd buy such ridiculous tales.
"So you dont belive me?" You grunted irritated by his laughter.
"Its impossible you have more chance to see pixies!" Geralt exclaimed baiting you further.
"Good, if thats what you think then we enforcers have done our job." Yoh scoffed a little annoyed yet proud, relieved youd managed to stay hidden from these well trained hunters.
"They arent real" geralt huffed shaling his head alll his anger now becoming amusement, there was a light feeling he hadnt had in a long time. Not only had he connected with you but he felt relaxed and safe. He could feel the bond between you. He didnt necessarily understand it yet all he knew was thatyou and him were a team.
"Want me to prove it?" You asked growling with a petulant anger a stubbornness over takingnyou. You bristled at the following laugh from your alpha.
"Go ahead" geralt snorted making a sweeping motion with his hand as ha stepped to the side givingnyou space whilst internally preparing his 'i told you so' speech. But his smirk quickly dropped when your form shuddered and contorted before you arched forward and stood proud before him your shoulder inline with his. Your head craned up staring him in the eye. He was speechless as he peered at you, for a second he flinched, fingers itching to his scabbard. It was only then he panicked for a moment as his hands missed, the scabbard was empty.
But he paused as you let out a strange low chuff at him and dipped your head. He blinked and looked at you, this time really looked. Geralt of rivia had looked jnto the eyes of many beasts over the years, he knew what evil looked like, he had seen their eyes go from a savage rage to still and lifeless and everythingm in between. But yours? your eyes held their humanity, a deep soulful look that was intelligent and much more then the monstrous. Maim. Kill. eat. Fuck. It was then he knew.
He raised a hand to you slowly pressing his palm into the thick white fur. Both soft and coarse, fluffy and prickly on his skin. Your head was the size of his chest and pressed into him before tipping up and snaking your tongue out quickly tasteing his skin making him grunt and arch away making you bellow a chuffing chuckle at him ont you growl as he flicked your nose making you sneeze comically.
You shifted back and peered up as he growled pawing at the spittle on his face but still smiled down at you. Things took a more serious turn as you began speaking again, your smile dropping as you tried explaining the obvious questions that will follow.
"We are not safe geralt. Shifters are misunderstood and we need to be forgotten to history otherwise we would be culled. Look at the mages. And the monsters you hunt? That would happen to us. So we disappear blend in, live quietly and deal with our own" your voice was low, quite asmif you were tryjng to hide the truth you spk,e, in a way you were. These secrects were sacred, the secrecy was what kept your race alive for so long. Every bone in your body was against telling him despite the witcher being your mate.
BuT still he was just that, a witcher. Ones you were taught to fear just asmuch as the humans did. Probably even more, yoh were supernatural, a shifter was a creaturw with monstrous urges and frightening instincts. A witcher could find cause to kill you, a precautionary culjng would always be justified for a beast.
"But its dangerous, you should atleast inform witchers of your existence." geralt tried to argue back. He was growing annoyed. There was definitely a pull, a bond between you. But that wasnt what irritated him the most. It was the unknown, the fact your kindnhad evaded the wotcher schools for so long. How? How could an entire race hide from his own kind for centuries? He prided himself on knowing all of the beastiary and yet here yoh were. The impossible standing right befoee him.
Geralt paused an looked to his hands. His kind? He wasnt a witcher now. He wasnt a witcher. The thought shocked him a single tremor of terror rose up his spine. Thags all he knew. All he ever was, what he'd been t3rained for. A scared child how became a mutant. A trained witcher and now he was a... shifter?
"Why so you can kill us? So humans can blame us for things we dont do? We live peacefully in our packs and clans. We destroy the ones who go rogue. Its our business not yours" geralt was snapped out of his little epiphany as our words grew feirce and acidic, venom laced the words like a poisoned pblade, sharp and deadly. You were frustrated and axnious he could see your weremthinking a mile a minute probably tryingntomfigure out what to do from here.
"And still i was called to kill one" the former witcher huffed with a smug amusement trying to add some humour into the mix wanting to calm you.
"Yet i am the one who killed it. Geralt please try to understand we are frightened of your kind... well" you trailed off after trying to plead with him to see your predicament. You effectivly just outted an entire race because fate decided to mate you with a being you all feared.
"frightened?" Geralt paused, sure he knew many 'monsters' were scared pf witchers but it was strange hearing it from one so calm yet clearly powerfull. Those that dint hunt humans had no reason to fear witchers. Unlike what most believed witchers didnt just hunt monsters willy nilly. They werent bloodthirsty savages biting at the bit for a fight. They kept balance.
Kill those that threaten humans but not after trying to spook them off. Occasionally a witchers job was to usher the beasts away and sheild them from humans. Or atleast that was what geralt precived as his job. He'd rather avoid killing but only did so to protect himself and those weaker then these beats.
You stepped closer and eyed him worriedly. Shrugging your shoulders and peered at the dead shifter slowly disappearing iunder a fresh layer of snow.
"A witcher is terrifying even to us. Besides they are dying out, you cant make more of your kind so there no point in telling you now" you managed to avoid explaining further and made an ecxuse trailing off. Geralt eyed you for a few koments longer, standing taller posturing. You shrunk slightlymas your alpha held you in his stare. Honestly you were still waiting for him to reject you, to scream and try to attack you once more but he didnt.
"Come, we are returning home" the male grunted as he turned leaning down to pluck up his pack and swords. You frowned unsure of what just happened but the words sunk in. Home... your alpha had a den? And he was inviting you to it- he was accepting you?!
"h-home? You mean you have a den? I didnt know witchers had dens?" You suttered sniffling slightly trying jot to cry as tears welled in your eyes. You never thought youd be accepted by a male. Polar bears were too strong, they frightened the others thats why they were used as the enforcers. Youd resigned yourself to never experiencing the bliss of being with your soul mate. You pawed at your eyes willing away the tears as you shuffled closer. You wanted nothing more then to be close to your mate, your alpha! Someone who you could depend on. Someone who you could turn to and let your gaurd down.
"Den? I? Yes i have a den, its in the mountains i return for winter" geralt paused at the term but quickly nodded smiling softly. He moved closer stepping beside you his arm just brushing your shoulder as you both fell into step. The former witcher chuckled as you let out a low mewl like pur and craned into him. Suddenly youd changed from the anxious timid and flighty woman into a needy pup... cub? It was clear you were just as desperate for a family and home as he was deep down.
"That witcher stronghold? You cant be serious we cant go there" you flinched yelping, trying to stop in your tracks but geralt wound an arm over your shoulders and kept you moving alongside him.
"Yes kaer morhen. And we will let the others know" he announced as he tugged you out of the shaded wood area.
"No! Geralt you dont know enough! You dont understand!" You argued fighting against him, but a slow rumble echoed in his chest and you froze before letting him pull you closer to his frame as you both stepped out into the open. You almost swooned as he looked around the open space at past the tree line. He was Serveying the area, making sure it was safe for you to follow. It was a strange feeling, having him guard you without even realising.
"I understand enough to know youll do as your told. Afterall you are my female, i felt you surrender to me. You called me your mate and alpha. Im betting that im in charge now as your alpha" he explained with a smirk, his eyes alight with a gentle mirth, teasing you. You flushed and looked away shyly falling into this strange little role, the natural hierarchy of your race. Geralt was your alpha male now. His job was to protect and provide it was intimidating yet soothing. You no longer had to fend for yourself or be alone.
"now come along female its time to return home, we can discuss things with vesemir and like you said witchers are a dying breed, it shouldnt matter now" The words were accompanied by a swift light patt on your rump as he whistled in a high pitch calling for roach, who came trotting out of the woods after a few still moments.
"But we cant! We will never make it in time for-" you began fretting speaking before actually thinking about the words. Luckily you amanged to stop yourself short.
"For what?" Geralt asked as he climbed on top of roach and dragged you up with him, sitting you on the saddle infront of him a little surprized at how much easier it was. His strength was definitely improved along with his senses.
"Nothing" you flushed mumblingnunder your breath now fixing your gaze onto roaches mane in your hand as geralt se t the hors into a slow walk heading north intent on out running the winter and returning to kear morhen a few weeks before the snow hit the mountains.
"No what were you going to say?" He hummed curiously but you just squirmed before releasing a high whistled tune calling your own horse from hiding. Geralt cast a glance behind himas your own horse trotted up along side roach clearly used to following you whatever the circumstances.
"Nothing it doesnt matter" you uttered shrinking in uis lap as his heavy forearm draped across your tummy and pulled yoh tighter.
"No tell me it sounded important" geralt persisted his breath fanning your neck causing you to shiver and shift again on his lap, tryin to beat away the feeling in your loins as his thighs rocked with the gait of the mare. You whined breathlessly not wanting to think about your almost slip up when sat astride the wide mare with your alphas cock nestled tightly on you ass.
"Female dont play these games, tell me. What will we be late for?" He chided at your silence and dipped his nose into the crook of your neck growling and puring with each deep breath scenting you. You whimpered as his scruff dragged abong your skin, tickling you with a tiny bristly five o'clock shadow.
"It-its just mating season is in a few months" you sighed giving in knowing he'd just continue his teasing untill ou told him whats on your mind.
"Mateing?" Geralt asked rearing back and leani g to the side encouraging you to face him. You blushed harder and shrugged nodding to him still trying to ignor the warmth from him, the way you both swayed rubbing against one another with the mares leisurely pace through the snow.
"Yeah... you know mating and cubs an'stuff" you spo,e trailing off not wanting to think about mateing this glorious male when your rocking on him. It wouldnt take much for him to scent your arousal. And you dodnt want to be mounted in the snow, your sure youd loose a toe or two to frostbite.
"Cubs? As in children? We can? I can have children?" Geralt frowned. That was absurd he couldnt have children her was a witcher; was a witcher but not anymore? You watched as his face lit up, eyes growing wide and his chest puffing up his entire being filling with hope. He pleaded with his eyes at you beggjng for you to answer the unspoken question, to confirm his suspicion.
"Well yeah... your a shifter now and my mate, so you can.. you know? get me pregnant and have a family" you nodded shyly smileing whislt nervpusly twiddling the horses thick mane in your fingers.
"My own child? I can have my very own child with you?" The question was breathless and haunting, like he was waiting for you to laugh and correct him. Tell him it was still impossible, that he was still infertile. But instead your cheeks glowed brighter and you huffed embarrassed nodding quickly avoiding his eyes.
"Yes geralt. Its what mates do! We bond and mate and have cubs!" You stuttered out yelping at him voice cracking under the embarrassment of talking about mating and such.
"And we have a month?" Geralt clarified suddenly very serious but theilled all the while. He seemed to have gained a new lease pf life at the prospect of cubs. But then again it was somthing he had long been denied and not by choice.
"Two."
"Two months to reach kaer morhen? Thats doable. Do not look at me like that mate. Thats my den, im sure im supposed to mate you in my den" he scolded yoh lightly as you grimanced at him pouting and frowning at him clearly unimpressed about haveing cubs in the qotcher school.
"Lets make a den somewhere else" you offered trying to sway him out of going to the famed witcher school. But he just craned his head forward pressing a soft kiss to the curve of your neck instantly placating you,the affection stunned you into silence all argument dying on your tongue as his lips moulded to your skin branding it with his heated kiss.
"No. Now come on we have two months" he stated as hepulled away from your neck before ushering roach into a canter now having a deadline to be home by.
"What is- Y/N! MERLOT! WHERE ARE YOU?!" Geralt broke out into a run, sprinting down the well travelled path into the remains of his old witcher school. His heart racing as he scent of another male permeated the air. It hadnt taken him long to realise other males were a threat to his mate and adoptive cub Merlot.
Just over three years ago Geralt had followed a scent of shifter crossing his territory and gone out to investigate. It hadn't been long before he came across the corpse of a female bear shifter. She'd been wounded badly. And the boy Merlot had been hiding frightened into his first shift, curled up into mothers side alone and hungry. At first geralt had thought him to be a normal bear cub mistaking this shifter for his mother. The alpha was going to put him out of his misery only to stop when the cub had scented him, and quickly raced around the deceased female rushing to geralts side then transformd into a knee height toddler before his eyes. Tiny hands reaching up at him pleading with his eyes not to abandon him there.
It had been the first time he'd seen a shifter cub and had instantly scooped up the child returning home with him. You later explained that cubs were much more instinctive then adults. As you grew you gained more awareness and more consciousness over your beast. Merlot had instinctively recognised geralt as a strong alpha and his best bet at safety and clung to him.
With no thought he barreled into his home eyes glowing snarling and posturing, back straight and chest puffed out smelling the unknown male. The scent was stronger in here. His nostrils flared and he froze ready to pounce as your heels clicked on the stone floor.
His heart seized as he took in the sight before him. You stood still by the door, hair pulled neatly into a half up half down style like those of the new westerners that were pouring into the continent. Your soft body encased in fine velvet, a stiff bodice pressing your full bosom up into two steep mounds and large full skirt swaying around your legs. Merlot stood beside you, one hand clutching your skirt the other tugging on his own new modern outfit, hair pulled back from his face in a low bun.
But it wasnt the new modern appearance that shook him to his core. Nor the growth spurt on his older cub- who was now a good four inches taller only just reaching your hip. No. It was the bundle you held in your arms. The tiny grunts and soft coos of a child coming from the wriggling blankets that hung down the front of your dress.
You smiled to him meekly and looked down repositioning the small cub. Twisting to cradle it sweetly letting geralts eyes see a tiny hand hover in the air, the profile of a small face peeking fron the swaddle.
"Charles. Look your papa is home" you hummed slowly aproaching geralt. The famed witcher met you half way eyes locked on the cup in you arms.
"Ch-charles? A boy- is it? Is he mine?" Geralt trembled, he couldnt help it he was over joyed but still dared not to dream. A child of his own flesh and blood had never been something he truly thought he'd have.
"Of course he is. Geralt this is charles, your son." With those words the dam broke and the usually strong stoic witcher was brought to tears as you handed him his miracle child. Charles. A strange name but it fit him somehow.
"He was a surprize. But a welcome one, he is two weeks old early and small but healthy. Merlot has been such a good boy, he has helped tremendously" yoh explained moving to stepp beside your step son pressing rubbing circles onto his back trying to calm the older cub who fretted over his place in the clan now that his father had a fullbloded cub.
"You have?" Geralt uttered looking to the boy letting a low rumble, calling his oldest to him. Merlot tiptoed closer to his father still unsure how things would be now there was a new cub. With one hand holding charles geralt held the other to merlot. Suddenly merlot was up on his fathers hip giggling as geralt scented him burrowing his nose into the boys hair and sniffing making merlot giggle out loud, all anxiety washed away as his father doted on him as normal.
"Yes papa, i play with him! And read to him when mama is sleepy an'hold him an'bounce him but-but he spits up on me... i dont mind though! Even if its icky" merlot spoke quickly now feeljng much better that his alpha was still accepting him.
"My good boy, i can alway countnon you to look after your mother and now charles... God he's tiny. So very tiny, is he-will he be a bear- a polar bear like us?" Geralt purred at him holding him tight letting merlot hok his arms around him snuggling deeper, the past few weeks of worry now melting and he could relax once more.
"He is small... and his colouring isnt like ours so maybe not? Only time will tell" you replied now coiljng arohnd your mate and arms holdjng his waist needingnto reacquaint yourself with him.
"Good, i dont want him hunting like us. Ever. He could be hurt. He deserves better" geralt hummed lookjng at the sleepjng newborn in his arm. Feeling a warm pride as he held his two sons.
"He does and so does Merlot they both deserve much better then here, i... i've been thinking i'd like to leave. As much as i love our den we need to intergrate. Its been two hundred years. These two deserves everything we can give them" you utterd slowly now wanting to ease geralt into your thoughts, the plans you'd made gfor your clan as your pregnancy became apparent.
"Where? I will take them anywhere. Give them anything" geralt said quickly not even needing to think about it. He would give his family the world, anytning they could possibly want or need.
"I think the west. England hasnt got a large shifter population. They are an island. Less shifters mean less rogues, it'll be safer. We can start our own clan make roots there" you said moving a hand to both of your sons blinoing up at geralt. He locked eyes with you and smiled nodding. Perhaps it was time to rejoin society and let his children thrive in the human world.
"Then we shall go to england" he agreed nodding to you before leaning in pressing a kiss to your lips, which made merlot whine and wriggle knowjng what was coming next and wanting to get out of the danger zone. But you and gerlat pulled back sharing a sly look before the both of you dived forward making the cub squeel as you both attacked him with kisses.
Geralt had never planned on this, never thought he'd meet a shifter and become a so called mpnster. But every day he was more and more greatfull because he now had a life he'd only dreamt of, he the white wolf-geralt of rivia the famed witcher was now a husband and father of two. And he wouldnt change it for the world.

Being in the arms of a person you were finally realizing that you eventually loved gave a different kind of bliss rather than the sensual moments that you both had.
Knowing that you were in love with him---a divulgence that you have no plan of saying yet; for the fear of it being unrequited was keeping you back.
You weren't going to tell him your secret yet. No. Especially when you have been thrashed and battered; bleeding with their purpose for any truth to spill or lies that they wanted to hear.
Were you finally meeting heaven? Geralt has said words that you never expected him to; calling you his betrothed when there was no disclosure or label onto what relationship you both had.
Perhaps, he needed to claim you in that endearment because he was being threatened by the king? In order for you to live, he must be having a tight relationship with you or a reason that King Viduka can convince himself that you shouldn't be slaughtered.
They needed your witcher and Geralt has outsmarted them by telling that you were both engaged; his soon-to-be wife that you know has not been serious enough to say.
"Geralt," you meekly whispered, your breath hitting his neck with arms enveloping his shoulders as he carried you around the castle; it was a murmur that the knights weren't capable of catching while they guided you to where your temporary room will be.
"Where are they taking me?" a simple tremble of your throat gave Geralt a hint that you've been carried to places and rooms where they have hurt you; a place that they chose to clobber your innocent soul, "---Are they going..to hurt me again?"
There has been a usual hum that you managed to memorize from the witcher, hearing a disgruntled 'hmm' from the affronted question like he didn't like hearing the idea of his midget being rained blows on, "To a much more comfortable place than being held captive in the dungeons,"
"Did...Did you sealed a deal with the king? H-How will you find the witch who cursed the prince? you shouldn't have done it because I heard her location being undetected---"
The white wolf cut you off with a simple, frank honesty of his words; risking the hunt instead of letting them think of other ways for your sufferings. Never wanting another painful venture that would make his thoughts suffer in the end. He'd taken the chance of finding the witch rather than having the possibility of a fight with thousands of knights nor an attempt to let you escape from hundreds of horsemen out in the open.
"There was no other choice."
Your arms tightened around him when they've guided you both to take a turn, feeling more protected in his arms. Hence, the action made Geralt keep you closer to him afterwards; making you sadly smile from his hold because it felt farcical to even think that he was doing this for you out of such love that you were sure of feeling for him.
You could feel that this comfort you're feeling had repercussions based on what that sorceress has described him and from what future she sees if he'd really pick you.
Yennefer of Vengerberg was still out there. Geralt will surely pick a woman who wouldn't get to die easily because you were a mortal. He'd just give himself such dolor because you'll die first than him or better yet, you could be killed by anyone who wants you dead with just a snap of your head because of being vulnerable to their eyes and to their world; knowing nothing but to strive just like how normal people live on earth.
"You've done enough for me already. You should've just left me alone to die and protect Cirilla like how your future is planned---I probably shouldn't be even in your life, Geralt."
You could feel his golden eyes boring holes on your face because of the sudden principle you've plainly stated, the sound coming out of your nose like a faithless lie you abruptly believed in. His marches turned heavier with each step upon hearing your judgement. With a subtle shift of your eyes away from his chiseled face, your mouth fell into a tight frown just like how his tightened when he looked front as he walked.
"That's never going to happen, midget." the witcher gruffly grumbled, "---You saved Cirilla. You've given the bard a chance to move on from that hideous person he had,"
You didn't save anyone. You've only done what was right by being transported into a world that you didn't belong in. Your mouth was about to open when he'd quickly clipped a short additional comment that shut your mouth from the moment it was heard---your heart jumping in the exact time he was having his steps.
"---and you also saved me,"
A sarcastic snort concealed the rushing beat of your heart; not thinking it through and never believing the opinions inside your head. Choosing the pessimist side of your brain that kept you from trusting what your heart wanted to feel.
"From what? from keeping you silent? I'm just giving you a headache, I have been a complete burden to you,"
"No. You're wrong." you've shifted your eyes to see his forehead creased in the deepest wrinkle it can form, simply telling you that he was upset in a trice when it was a truthful answer.
Your attention went straight to the side of his face; narrowing your eyes at a fresh scar that weren't there the last time you've seen him---fingers aching to caress his disfigurement and having thoughts inside your head that he'd been hurt from his latest hunt with a monster. Digits stayed where they are, clasping them tighter with your own as you clung to your witcher.
Taking a dim view of his lour, his teeth was clenched tight as he fell silent---appearing to look like he wanted to say more but chose to keep it all to himself.
"Do not trust the sorceress or the queen. Just trust me, Eanraig and no one else in this castle,"
"Eanraig. He's the person who treated my wounds. Who is he?"
"A druid. A Scholar of the forest. Trust no one but me or him, understand?" he stated firmly as he ceased his steps, standing before a fairly large double, wooden doors whilst the gallants unlocked them. Geralt's words were left in a soft mumble that you didn't realize he would be competent of, sounding like he was giving sheer comfort over his undiplomatic rejoinder.
"---Because in their eyes, you are alike of my kind. A woman who is lost in our world and has opened a portal for undefeatable monsters; a key for adding more chaos that this world can ever bring,"
The doors to your room has been opened, one knight coming right in rather than the both of you who had permission to stay in chambers; his voice becoming a mere whisper of his baritone, rough timbre that didn't caught your hearing when a knight suddenly talked out loud for the chevalier inside.
"---but, not to me."
The horseman has given Geralt a pithy nod of his head to direct him in. He set him aside when he'd pass by him; seeing how gigantic and bigger that the witcher was compared to both chevaliers. Your witcher's face masking in a vacant expression which they have ridiculed him when he'd gently placed you down on a soft bed that you immediately examined; catching sight of golden, silk sheets for such a large bed; the physical sensation of what a bed brought was bringing you forty winks from the ache everywhere in your joints.
"I'll bring them what they want to keep you safe. They can hurt me, make me bleed to death---" you've blinked your left swollen eye to see Geralt hovering on the side, his simple actions of skimming his fingers through your tangled hair in a surreptitious manner, the wide-broad back shielding his succors from the knights that still didn't leave the room; keeping you both under their guard which will surely get a scolding from the witcher himself after assisting you to your bed.
"---yet, I will not afford to see it from you again."
Geralt never gave you a chance to speak as he fully stood on his feet, wandering over to where one knight was standing, watching over you both and never intending to give privacy. The witcher had a scowl on his face as he sauntered over to where they were, shooting daggers at them when they firmly stood on their ground.
Emanuel, the persistent gallant firmly straightened his back; peering back at the witcher who was taller and giving him a silent, brooding death stare. Never batting an eyelid as he mutely tried to let them understand his wishes to be alone with you. Emanuel continued to quietly hector, leveling with Geralt's intimidation as he stared straight back at him; thoroughly impertinent by what he wanted.
"Leave her chambers." the white haired witcher lowly grumbled, emitting a gruff groan in the back of his throat when he heard the trifling knight be headstrong towards him.
Their conversation made you try to lift yourself up from the bed, whimpering and complaining from the twinging sensations that your injured body has been giving. You didn't need another fight to occur between Geralt and some knight; his slaughtering has been enough and you didn't need anymore people dying on your hands. Thus, you've faintly called for your witcher's name; distracting his annoyance or anger from butchering another set of horsemen.
He wouldn't kill them. They just needed to be pushed away.
"How about no, Mutant?" Emanuel taunted back, snappy and utterly offhand which made Geralt raise a brow.
He sighed to himself, rolling his eyes at his comeback and carelessly grabbed onto his shoulders. Using his strength that not any other normal human has, Geralt pushed him out of the doors with a forceful shove; letting him stumble and fall on his other friend who'd grunted out loud when they both fell outside and onto the castle floors.
"I didn't ask."
The witcher hastily slammed the doors shut, fastening the bolts and when he'd hung onto the latch, an ample amount of curses has been given to him; more demeaning and vociferous words that he surely has been used to from people who hated his kind and brushed them off despite the thunderous knocking from behind closed doors.
He took quick strides to where you where; leaning on the headboard of the bed. You've seen his leather bag resting off the sides---specifically, under the bed which got you staring at him as he does so, still cherishing his presence, what his whole being was worth to take a shine to and for acclaiming that this otherworldly human was a person you were in love with.
The idea of being away from him swatted a sting to your chest; how going back to earth will be the death of you if it eventually happens---and if it was a future you were bound to come back to.
You've given the witcher a solemn smile, your true feelings currently kept as a secret until it was the right time to tell. Geralt was crouching beside you, scouring through his leather bags until you've seen him take out a transparent witch bottle that had flamingo colored extract inside; the stuff was familiar to you and remembering what effects it has given; such vile taste began to drip on the tip of your tongue, making you shake your head that you ought to spurn.
Yet, also making the heat run to your face because of how you remembered how he'd let you take the pain by forcing the potion to drizzle on your skin, softly kissing your lips to distract you from it as he took care of your wounds back then.
Your eyes turned into big saucers; shakily bringing out a hand to cease his actions. Geralt took note of your sudden response, his head slightly turned to the side as he watched you panic with his composed expressions, "I---I---I know that medicine! I thought the last potion you made for me was...the last?"
He gave an impressed raise of his brows, thankful that your head hasn't been forced to forget or banged against a wall that'll give you amnesia, "I've mixed potions for humans ever since you came. Jaskier seldom wounds himself when he has his lute. But, he can take a spell when he is stubborn enough. However, you---you can be clumsy as an impaired Sylvan,"
You could feel he was trying to stifle a smile from his last metaphor, remembering memories in his past that certainly has given him entertainment. The witcher took the cork using his teeth, spitting the top of on the side as he began to reach out and point it on your unhealed wounds surrounding your chest, lightly covering the scar on your chest that reminds you of him because of the same symbol he has on his necklace.
"Geralt! Don't you...Don't you dare!"
The latter stopped midway to give you a teasing scowl, "You have a habit of saying my name when you are refusing to follow my wishes, midget."
"It's because I'm fine!" you squeaked and planned to get away from him when he'd gently took hold of your wrist, keeping you in place; profoundly staring into your eyes in disbelief.
"You have been tyrannized and can hardly move any of your limbs. Then, you say you are fine?"
The white wolf outreached for the collar of your ruined, bloody sweater, gently pulling them down for the upper valley of your breast to be displayed to him. He felt you yank his hand away to pout back at him. It made Geralt hum in sheer interest and surprise; your refusal to be cared for, humoring his guts because it seemed like you were upset over other things he couldn't decipher.
"Hmm." he gravely hum as you've seen his lips curl into a small, firm smile while he tightly had the elixir on his hand, inserting a quip after being in the presence of your unreasonable and disobliging self yet again.
"---Must you still be shy with me after everything we had?"
You've given him silence, squinting your eyes back at him as a form of reply.
Geralt sighed a deep one as he closed his eyes; not knowing what was making you grumpy and cranky at the same time. He'd open his glowing peepers to greatly gaze back in utter tranquility, beating you off with whatever silent challenge has been going on. Thus, those amber have taken a peep over your bruised lips, creating a face of disapproval before seeing him lean his head forward and over your face.
"You're not going to---to---give me a kiss as a form of distraction! If you think I'm a thirsty lady---"
One light peck to the lips was all he needed to shut you up. He was gentle, almost felt like he was tickling the pain because there was no ache as he kissed you. Geralt brushed his lips on yours; delicate and utmost promising. The action being a verbal persuasion for words that has not been set out in public---also, a belief inside your heart that wanted to listen to her own theories that your alter-ego tries to brush off.
The softness of his lips left yours with a brush of his warm breath, slimly creating space between you both when he leaned his forehead on yours, his nose grazing to let you feel his worries over what happened whilst he mumbled whispers of fidelity that were only a mere chance of hearing from the witcher himself.
"You...don't know how dreading it was to not see you wandering around our home---coming back and being welcomed by a bleeding bard and Cirilla scared to her wits,"
He'd promptly closed his eyes, gliding the roughness of his thumbs over the linear of your jaw; tender and comforting as he caressed; hearing him breathe calm, deep inhales that were adding mental repose over your aching body. The latter ought to touch your sore body with a profound gentleness he didn't knew he had when Geralt heard light, padded marching coming forth to where you both have been ensnared in.
"Eanraig," the witcher nonchalantly acknowledged, being in the right time as he stood up to his feet and cutting the moment short with you before Eanraig can even barge in without knocking; using such magic to open the locks to their doors that had Geralt humming in displeasure when he saw a look being given to him; mentally asking if he was interrupting something.
Geralt's frown just tightened more as they both stared at each other while you have given Eanraig a cordial smile; remembering that he was also one who has treated your wounds when it felt to be needed.
The Druid slammed the door shut with a simple flick of his hand, casting such occult practices that has fastened the bolts back in a tight lock; creating a force shield over the doors which can't let people from the outside, hear whatever was being talked about in the chamber.
"I've heard from Ingrith that you both are cursed together," Eanraig frankly spoke as matter of fact.
At the mention of that, Geralt couldn't help but narrow his eyes on the scholar, showing him his curiosity and bewilderment, "By who?"
His fellow acquaintance shared a guileless smile, "By what, is what you probably mean,"
"The Djinn," Geralt hoarsely bleated incoherently, exhaling frustrations about what he was getting a gist of the conversation.
The Djinn was certainly a snake in the grass just like how Jaskier mentioned, he silently thought to himself. His focus on the scholar turning sharper from what he was being elevated about.
Eanraig gave him a nod, "You were trying to send her home," pause. "---Warp of the souls. A curse made for two destined people. Unless, it still isn't permanent."
Keeping quiet as they talk; holding the chafe of your bruises all to yourself. Your attention jumped from Geralt to Eanraig. Confounding with the topic at hand because of your sudden apprehension towards the whole ordeal.
A curse. You were under a curse right now and Geralt wanted to send you home as well.
Your eyes shot at the witcher's wide broad back, shooting a glare at his infuriating, beautiful white hair; wanting nothing but to grab onto some scissors and cut his tresses because of reasons that was worth to strangle him---which you doubt it can even happen. Geralt subtly eye you in his peripheral vision because he could feel you shooting daggers at him and it left him utterly confused as he shifted his attention over you who laid behind him and Eanraig who stood before the doors, strolling closer to the both of you.
"Were you both in heat? Does anything feel strange?"
"I know what she feels. Everything."
Eanraig crossed his arms, raising an arm to touch his grizzled white beard. His gaze condemnatory for his next question that caught the witcher off-guard, "Did you bed her?"
Geralt raised both of his brows and let out an intriguing hum of his deep timbre, your focus on his reply but also making you feel giddy and bashful over the Druid's rash interrogation. Your eyes squinting and continuously giving the back of the witcher's head a death stare when you kept your mouth shut and let him do all the short talking for the first time in forever.
"Hmm."
His dawdling form of response got the Druid scratching his temples for such a dishonest answer that he rarely receives from him, "It has a process before the curse lasts forever, there is no refund or whatsoever. Maybe it might have had reasons for creating such process," Eanraig stated and avoided to tell a sensitive topic that can get Geralt running for the hills if he immediately knew what reasons that the Djinn has held you both; such sensible responsibility that could challenge your unspecified relationship with him.
A child. His very own child. The witcher won't take the news in the best way that he can. Especially, Geralt of Rivia.
The druid couldn't help the grin growing on his wrinkly face, repeating his query a lot more genuine than he can get, "Now, did you bed her?"
"What does this have to do with the Djinn?"
Eanraig couldn't help but suddenly chuckle under his breath, never receiving a proper answer from Geralt that was surely entertaining his day; "This is a curse that only a djinn can do, not any sorceress nor wizard," his chortles eventually died down as he turned serious, wanting a real answer to know if you both will be expecting a neonate that will bring miracles to their world.
Beautiful but daunting miracles that nobody can ever read in the future---not even a fortune teller can as everything was being blocked by the power of the genie.
"So, answer the question," he patiently asked the witcher with such enthusiasm that Geralt couldn't comprehend.
"---Did you bed her, witcher?"
Geralt was completely finding his questions strange, his scowl faltering as it changed into a wince receiving a strange question out of all the queries he can ever ask.
"Yes."
Lifting your head away from the headboard, you've given them both looks of incredulity; disbelieving that they were talking about both of your sensual lives like it was nothing which you really are sensitive and conservative about. The knives being thrown behind Geralt's back becoming bigger as you rolled your eyes for his short, indecipherable acknowledgement---concealing the whole, sudden irritation you had for him because of your shabby, emotional self.
"What? Did he get me pregnant or something?" you peeked behind Geralt's body to send the druid your jesting question, igniting no harm over it because of how important Eanraig was making it seem about asking a question as if he has knocked you up or something.
The sudden witticism has made Geralt slightly turn his body to give you the side eye, head-shaking as he does so with a sarcastic smile like he'd been insulted.
"You're being unreasonable, Midget."
You've turned your head to the side, trying to get his dander up from his 'sending you home moment' that the druid has honestly and bluntly said out to the two of you; catching Geralt's true feelings over you despite of his lies over calling you important and his home that he would gladly come back to.
"I'm asking Eanraig not you, Geralt."
He still has his body slightly turned to you, narrowing his golden eyes and shaking his head more firmer like a warning sent to your sudden attitude.
"You know I can't. Stop this nonsense,"
Your bruised mouth was in a tight straight line, going on with your narrow-minded self---steady to be adding more ungenerous quips that certainly was vexing the witcher because he'd send you a tight grimace that doesn't scare you, "But, using a Djinn and trying to send me home isn't nonsense after telling that you find home in me?" you scoffed in the middle of being glared at.
"---I didn't know you meant it literally, Geralt of Rivia."
The white wolf hadn't really gotten to dodge from your sudden verbal attacks. Though, the scowl you've received from him was the nastiest out of all the rest today. Yet, he didn't plan nor given you one back as he bit his tongue for even thinking through his temper just like how he did before---wanting not to commit in another mistake that he will surely regret in the end again.
Geralt bit his tongue harder, clenching his teeth together before he spoke with his fangs slipping out behind his lips---appearing to be like he was trying not to growl his frustrations out for your sudden hostility.
"It was before I even knew that you...you can be considered as my home, Midget," he'd given you a gaze; a knowing one that tells you he won this verbal fight of your petty snarks because he had wished for that before the Djinn was even on your hands---not after the wishes happened.
"K." you curtly answered, defeated. The side of your wounded lip slightly lifting as you added a moniker that will surely infuriate him as in the end.
"...Witcher,"
Geralt's lowest pitch of a quieted growl vibrated through his chest, looking at you threateningly from your obdurate answer.
Eanraig couldn't help but shift his head from one person to the other, gaping at the both of you and heedful of the vexation that suddenly surrounded you both. Did he do something then? the druid asked in the back of his mind when you were both staring at each other---if looks would kill, you were both already in a tough fight over what war was happening.
The scholar of the forest awkwardly cleared his throat, snapping the uncomfortable atmosphere by educating everyone in the room with his slight knowledge over the curse.
"Very well then, so much for making it permanent. You've probably did as much as you could considering how lecherous the witcher can get from his overly developed mutations,"
Geralt turned his body back to the druid in one's own good time, a coy smile plastered on his face---so feigned that the witcher felt like he was faking it too weakly over being verbally attacked as well by his acquaintance who elegantly told him that he was created to be a horny man in his life and continuous to be so.
Until he developes some sort of erectile dysfunction that nobody even knows yet.
Eanraig choked in his own words when Geralt stepped a foot closer to the druid, his glowing eyes squinted and never knowing what he was thinking as he gave an intimidating frown that made the druid swallow his words down in the back of his throat, his mood certainly ruined from your petty vantage point.
"This...This curse has its purpose, you will never love any other man or woman. Never. Not anyone can overcome the memories you had with him or her. The feelings are growing deeper each day. Hatred if the djinn may see fit. Affection. Care. Love. You are lucky if both of your feelings are real and true because if hatred comes with it---even vanquishing the affection you have? It'll make you forget that you even had feelings for each other because you'll end up unhappy and trying to kill each other off,"
Eanraig peeked behind Geralt to see you blinking in curiosity, "---unfortunate for a human like her. If he does hate you, little woman."
"---Also remember, if one of you dies---which I doubt for the witcher. Then, you will feel as if your heart has been taken away from you. Deep heart break. Pain shall take its course, every day that you may wake up will be memories of her, inhibiting pain and more ache at the memory of her dead." he continued and noted how Geralt has fallen in silence with a jaw clenched tight, "---you will be unhappy and in despair for this fleeting happiness that the djinn has set you both in,"
"and---" Eanraig's thoughts were ceased when the butcher of Blaviken spoke with an unyielding emotion set in his eyes; serious and wary of what kind of people were surrounding you as for the mean time.
"I won't let her die."
"But, what if its inevitable?" the scholar bluntly said it out in the open, making Geralt calmly let out a breath as he had his lips in a tight line, thrusting his jaw forward in subtle determination while Eanraig continued to utter his protests.
"Ingrith and Queen Makeda wants her dead, Geralt. You know you won't be finding the witch in five days!"
"I'll give them their shitty hag, Eanraig." The witcher muttered in final, his goals thoroughly set to find the witch that you have warned him about. Must it be a trap, you may never be quite sure as it was only been said by the prisoner who stayed in the same dungeon with you.
Geralt sounded to be too stubborn to listen and it appeared to be like there was no other way for you to be set free unless he finds the witch or fake one woman in order to keep them off your hair.
"Alright, then."
The druid left it at that. Sighing hard for his mullish and keeping his mouth shut for anything that can keep the witcher distracted throughout his hunt.
Geralt turned on his heels, seeing you crossing your arms like an upset, lady who had her mouth pursed so long that it made him take a gander over your cranky, battered state. His brows raised as he deeply muttered, inspecting your body language whilst pondering over ways how to keep you conciliated when you were seething before him like a feral kitten. His vicious, grouchy midget that was needed to simmer down.
"Interesting."

PART I | PART II | PART III | PART IV | PART V
The building was filled with loud voices and sounds of people frantically typing when you rushed to the Human Resources office. The door was open.
A well-built man turned to you, a folder in his hands,
"Come in, Miss Y/L/N" he mumbled, “I was finishing your evaluation."
Hair still wet and messy, you panted,
"Thank you, sir."
Raising his head from the documents, Mathias smiled,
"Call me Mat', will you ?" he chuckled softly and pointed the seat in front of his desk, "Sit."
Body still shaking, you sat into the chair and he kept gazing at you for a moment,
"Your profile is very interesting." he stated, "Need more time to get ready in the morning ?" he asked, glancing at your bun.
Oh, shit.
For a moment, you wondered which was messier, your life or your hair.
"I apologize, si...-Mat’. I had a serious issue with my new neighbor..."
"None of that with me, Y/L/N." he chuckled, "I was just joking. One thing you need to know, you can be late, work from home, the boss don’t care as long as you do your job."
Nodding quickly, you silently cursed Cavill. Damn him. Thank god, Mat’ seemed to be in a soft mood.
"Well, now you're here, we need a good article for tonight, something entertaining. Do you think you can do that ? Like a fight, a violent altercation. Anything spicy."
"Of course, I'll figure something out." you nodded with a smile.
Sighing in relief, you sat at your new desk, closing your eyes as you recollected yourself. You’d been lucky. So. Freaking. Lucky.
"Hey there !" a friendly masculine voice caused you to open your eyes, "I'm your neighbor. I mean, kind of, our desks are side by side."
Oh God, no more neighbor for today, please.
Andres was a tall, blond-haired man. It was the first time you met him. He handed you a coffee, his wide smile and happy face contagious,
"Thanks ! Nice to meet you, I'm Y/N/."
"I know, I... read your badge."
"Oh," you chuckled, "and you are... Andres." you said as you read the name on his own badge.
You both nodded and smiled awkwardly, until a tall woman walked into the room, causing everyone to look back at their screens and papers. Andres leaned in and whispered,
“This is Erin. Big boss.”
Erin scanned the room and as soon as her eyes found you, she walked in your direction.
“Hello, Y/N. Welcome to Nova Times. I’m Erin.”
There was something very sweet in her smile. It made you feel immediately at ease and you shook her hand.
“Nice to meet you. I can’t wait to start working on my first article.”
“Did Mathias give you a lead ?”
“Yes, he did. I’m sure I can finish today.”
“Great. I hope you’ll feel comfortable here.” she said, pointing your desk, “If you need anything, I’ll be in my office, alright ?”
So, yeah. It was even better than what you expected. Surprisingly, it felt way less oppressing than your previous job.
Your boss was friendly, the environment seemed nice. Plus, Andres was really hot.
When you finally left the building, it was already late and you’d been talking with him non-stop for an hour. He walked you home and you both took your time, enough for you to tell him about Mr Chaos.
“You just call him like that ?” Andres asked.
"Yeah, well that’s because he’s always acting indecently when all I’m trying to do is keep calm. It seems like his two moods are just... glitter and death, you know."
Andres laughed,
"What's his name again ?"
You hadn't told him and were about to do so, but you noticed your house in the distance,
"Oh, this is me." you smiled, stopping in front of him.
Andres plunged his eyes into yours, and you thought it was the moment when two characters kiss in books. There was a chemistry between you both, you couldn’t deny it. So when he leaned in, you glanced at his lips, willing to do it, to kiss him.
Yes, Y/N.
Do it.
But as soon as you looked at him, an image came to your mind, like a spell, something moving under your skin. Heart beating fast, you moved back.
Henry’s eyes were haunting you.
Fuck.
"I-I'm sorry." Andres stuttered, realizing his mistake, “It was so inappropriate, I thought...”
"No ! No, it wasn’t. It’s not you. You thought right." you assured him, "I guess I'm still shook by all the changes in my life. I just need some time. But I really enjoyed walking with you. You know what, how about we walk to work together, tomorrow morning ?"
Not an ounce of resentment in his eyes, Andres smiled shyly, burying his hands in his pockets,
"Tomorrow morning, then. Good night, Y/N. I'm glad we spent this moment together. If you're in trouble, just call me." he said, referring to your neighbor.
What was happening to you ? He was probably the cutest guy you’d met in years and yet... you just couldn’t take Henry out of your head.
Dragging your feet toward the door, you noticed the window was slightly open. Even though you didn't make a sound, your cat ran to you, meows and purrs breaking the silence as you entered your house.
"Oh, poor kitty, I'm sorry for this morning hon'..." you took her into your arms and made your way to the kitchen, pouring some cat food into a plate. "Here you go..."
"This cat is a liar,” you heard Henry grumble behind you, “I fed her, twice. She's going to die from a heart attack, like the average over-eating American she is." Henry glanced down at the furry ball, “I'm serious pal', you're going to die.”
Straightening up, you were now facing Henry as he brushed his fingers through his dark hair. This time though, he gave you an apologetic gaze,
"Sorry. Didn't mean that." he risked, "I just... I did feed your cat this morning. After all."
Without a word, you shrugged him off and turned your back to him to open the fridge. Here and there, you found his food and barely managed to know what was yours or his.
"What are you doing ?" he asked, his tone softer.
"Avoiding."
"Avoiding what ?"
"You. Everything."
You heard him sigh and he moved closer to you, heading toward the fridge where you were still trying to figure out what to cook. His voice echoed in your ear, so close it vibrated against your skin,
"This is mine,” he said, his arm plunging into the depths of the fridge, “this is yours... Oh, no. These are mine too." he said as he grabbed a box, causing you to gasp,
"No, the tomatoes are mine." you groaned, trying to get your food back.
Pulling hard on the package, you wouldn't surrender, but your hands slipped, letting go of the precious tomatoes and your body was thrown back. Henry caught you just in time, an arm snaking around your waist, the other still holding the vegetables. The tickling, almost stinging sensation made your skin burn again and your stomach clenched deliciously. Rather amused by your reactions, Henry gave you a questioning look,
"I thought you were avoiding."
Without hesitation, you hit his chest with the palm of your hand.
"Asshole."
"I'm getting used to this one." he uttered, releasing his embrace.
You placed a strand of your hair back behind your ear and Henry made a face,
"Let's order something."
"Yeah, let's do this."
Henry mechanically called the closest Chinese restaurant and you both moved to the living room. Sprawling on the couch, you closed your eyes for a moment. The sound of Henry’s typing on his computer lulled you and you started to drift off.
"I know you like being carried to bed, but..." he started and you opened an eye, ready to spit another homemade insult, but a knock on the door kept you from talking.
"Food's here !" you squealed.
It was still hot, and you were terribly hungry.
You sat down on the couch with your precious ramen and opened the box. This time, your stomach was twisting, because it was craving food.
Henry eventually came next to you, searching the bag. He leaned back into the couch and started eating silently. You looked up at him. Nope, you weren’t going to talk first.
"Had a good day ?" he tried, causing you to shrug. After a moment, his dark gaze settled on you and Henry grumbled, "I fed your cat, I swear to God I did. She didn’t stop cooing and purring after that."
Yeah, that sounded like your cat. And yet, you weren’t going to forgive him so easily.
"I got it. Not going to talk." he nodded and paused, "I saw you by the window, with Ken."
You flushed.
He'd seen you ?
You wanted to answer so hard, but there was plenty of food in your mouth and Henry kept going,
"Hm. Not to dictate your life, but drop the shitty boyfriend."
Choking on your noodles, you brought a hand to your mouth. Now, it didn't matter how much food was stuck between your teeth,
"Fuck you !" you mumbled, hiding your lips with your fingers, "You don't know anything about him. His name is Andres, and you're a judgmental ass."
Henry glanced at his food and took a few bites,
"Maybe, but I'm being honest with you, am I not ?"
"Honest ? You’re being a dick ! Andres is nice. This morning was terrible. I got late because of you ! You know what, Andres is the nicest person I've met so far. He's not arrogant, nor pretentious. Our little talk was relaxing." you paused, "After this evening with him, I can't stop thinking and... I'm amazed at how caring some people can be, and at how insignificant we are."
You looked away for a while, lost in your thoughts. Meanwhile, Henry raised an eyebrow and shook his head,
"Not me, I'm important."
It burst your dreamy bubble at once and you narrowed your eyes at him. This man couldn’t stop. Calmly, you put your empty box on the table.
"Henry, do you know how we make someone kind and holy, like Andres ?"
Seriousness writ on his features, a suspicious frown appeared on his forehead,
"Well, I don't know. Probably by cutting off their testicles."
Oh hell.
"You have to beat the hell out of them." you growled and suddenly, your fists hit his chest, causing him to cough in surprise.
In a desperate attempt to defend himself, Henry dropped his box and grabbed your wrists.
"Stop it Y/N !" he stifled, struggling to push you back.
Panting, you started laughing. The tension you’d kept all day long slowly faded away as you giggled, trying to reach his chest with your hands. Without warning, you pushed hard with your whole body and Henry fell on his back.
Out of breath, you plunged your eyes into his deep blue ones, hands still pressing against his strong arms,
"So, you still think Andres is a dumbass ? Because I can do this all night." you uttered.
Damn it Y/N. All night ?
Not releasing his grip around your wrists, Henry suddenly stopped putting efforts into lifting you above him. In seconds, his demeanor went from the grumpy neighbor who pissed you off, to a worked up, soft but still dominating version of himself.
Slowly, you felt your chest pressing against his torso, then your legs intertwining with his. The slight movement, paired with the fire in his eyes was making you squeeze your legs together.
Your heart dropped to your stomach. You looked away for a split second, realizing your lips were only inches away from his, but then his eyes locked on yours.
The look he was giving you could have melted iron. Damn it. He knew exactly what he was doing.
Yes, just looked at you, his face emotionless but stern, studying you closely. He was driving you crazy, edging you on, and still giving you that stupid look.
This was exactly what you craved.
The way his fingers grazed lightly against your skin radiated this dominant energy despite the fact that you were on top. He had a way of making you feel like all of you couldn’t escape him. No matter what.
Heart still pounding, you blinked in confusion. You didn’t know when or how, but your mouth opened,
"You don't know anything Hen’,” you whispered, “you just act like it."
You saw his eyes flutter and his tongue slipped against his soft lips as he held your gaze, making it even more difficult to resist. His warm breath crashed near your lips and he released a low “Hm” of resignation.
The grip on your wrists loosened into a soft touch, setting you free.
God, you wanted to kiss him.
Every gear started turning into your head and you forced yourself to come back to your senses,
"If you ever feel stupid, or powerless..." you whispered, still hovering over him, "Remember that I'm not."
With that, you moved back and jumped on your feet, leaving him lying here, breathless.
Geralt is smth like Beast and when he wants (or when he is angry, mostly the latter) he transformed in his potion-induced-condition (is that even right?)
but after fucking up too many times and killing too many people in the process, he decides to shut down that part of himself
However he still is a highly trained soldier, weapon and martial-arts expert and is capable of speaking fluently more than 8 languages
He's part of a group, led by Mystique, dedicated to save all the mutants, oppressed and abused, and get them out of places where they are overexploited.
That's how he meets jaskier
Jaskier is a type of empathy, with well, empathic powers; smth like Mantis from guardian of the galaxy, except that he can fully control other people's feelings and emotions
When Geralt finds him he is working at a brothel, as a sex slave. Well a slave in general. Chained up he made the client's feel exactly what they wanted, and then let them do whatever they wanted, call him whatever they wanted and make him do whatever they wanted. As long as they paid, of course. Once the night finished, he had to do exactly the same for the boss, just without the paying. From whatever sexual activity he could come up to, to making him coffee or a feet massage.
5 days later he is still in bed, at Xavier's school, unable to talk, recovering form all the malnutrition and bruises. He flinches at everything and only is comfortable in the presence of some women. Horrible nightmares wake him up at god know what hour of the night screaming.
5 months later he's recovering from his trauma, he's warmed up to everyone at school and little by little he is starting to use his powers again. Nightmares haven't stopped. Geralt is one of the few who still keeps the distances.
Jaskier tries to talk to him, but geralt's heighten senses (do you say it like at? God i urgently need a beta 😪) confirms the obvious, jaskier’s still low-key afraid of him
What geralt doesn’t know is that he also high-key admires him, it isn’t lust, yet, it’s too early for that, but he admires his strength and how he has helped so many people
One night the school’s under attack, some mentally unstable mutant that after discovering what hid that peculiar school decides to pay a visit
Jaskier and geralt both rush out of their rooms and find eachother, the latter orders jaskier to take the kids to a safe place, and quickly shuts the empathic up when he says he can help.
"you are helping, by protecting the kids"
And he's running down the corridor leaving a unsatisfied jaskier behind
The mutant is more powerful than they thought and to take him down geralt need's to use his mutant form
And now they have another problem (like the Hulk yk)
Yennefer tries but her powers are meant to attack not calm down
So they decide that the only possibility they have is to knock him down
Until jaskier silently sneaks up to geralt and uses his powers to calm him down and eventually return to his human form.
And it works
Too good actually
And Mystique orders them to work on that so they could use geralt's strength when things get out of hand
But the low-key fright is still there, so geralt proposes to first work con jaskier's trust
As weeks pass, they work and talk with eachother, they get to know eachother and jaskier will lose his fear by and by
Jaskier eventually voices his deep admiration
Geralt stays near, cleaning a weapon or reading anything, when jaskier is with the kids (he's good, really good) he won't admit it, but he also admires jaskier and his ability to control the unruly group of kids
He, on the other hand, normally scares them
The nightmares are still there but thanks to geralt's light sleep and the proximity of their rooms, when he does wake up covered in sweat and mentally in the worst place ever, he has someone to help him calm down
Geralt calls it "paying a dept"
When Yennefer finds them one morning, cuddling in jaskier's bed she calls it otherwise
5 years later, jaskier is the one in charge of the kids when they are brought back, he's the best at helping them recover from their mental trauma's, when Geralt goes on mission the empathic keeps a special phone in case there is an emergency and need to calm the beast down, and oh, they've been official for 6 months
They took their time, their sweet time, but bmostly cause of geralt
He insisted he didn't want to jeopardize all the progress they had achieved with jaskier's mental condition
If you ask Yennefer they've been together for 3 years already just without the kissing
They did act like a couple
They went out a lot (noo they weren't dates) and when they came back from missions jaskier always looked for Geralt first (it's just because he's the most reckless of all of you) and if you wanted to know where one was you just had to find the other, and they wispered little things to eachother that nobody, not even Yennefer knows exactly what it is to this day
they just denied every time someone asked
6 months back jaskier decided it was enough, he wanted to publicly sit on geralt's lap (he had already done it on private 😏) and wanted to touch geralt without having to come up with useless excuses and didn't want geralt to have to go from one room to another when he had nightmares, and god just kiss the hell out of geralt
He asks him and they make it official, even though the only thing that actually changed is that they kiss and they share a bigger room, the rest remains as before
Back to the present
They are a cute couple but they are also a motherfucking power couple
They both look like they've came out of a magazine
So it's not a surprise when they often get hit on by people new to the school
Geralt is plain harsh; ignores them and leave them standing waiting for an answer that will never come or spits a biting remark
"you're not even half as hot as my bf so don't even try it"
Jaskier just uses his powers to change their feelings for him (if they don't back down with geralt's death stare)
There is also this type of bet going around about their sex life, however they all agree it must be hella hot, cause they are hella hot
Yennefer is uncharacteristically quiet
Truth is they've only had sex once.
Geralt, again, didn't want to pressure jaskier and during the first 3 months they just kissed and occasionally touched over their clothes
After geralt starting going down on jaskier and, thank God, they started doing things without clothes on
But geralt still didn't let jaskier do anything specifically to him, no blowjobs no handjobs
Yennefer as their personal psychologist, and well, best friend, listened to both of them
Jaskier came whinning, complaining about his lack of sex life. He had a freaking god and he couldn't even touch him or blow him off. Don't get him wrong, geralt was really good with his tongue, but jaskier desperately needed some good dicking, and to suck the greek god he had as he's boyfriend
It had already been 5 years since that, he wouldn't suddently pass out
Geralt came with another story, and Yennefer is sure she's never seen him this stressed
He repeated and repeated that he was going to trigger something and everything would end up being worse and he couldn't do that to his precious jaskier. Then he assured that he was going to learn everything about being a bottom because if they did end up having sex maybe jaskier didn't want to be the one receiving, maybe all those years at the brothel made him hate that position and geralt was more than willing to learn everything to make jaskier confortable and what if -
Jaskier, again, gets fed up, sits geralt down an they have a long a deep conversation
AT LAST, COMMUNICATION
their fist time is really soft, geralt takes his time and every 5 seconds asks if jaskier is alright, it's not the rough sex jaskier had dream since the beginning but it's something
Something they could work on
And voila!
Hoped you like it and plis feel free to leave any other ideas in the comments
I actually have some more headcanons for this au, so if you want me to make another post about X-men!geraskier just let me now :)
