Sunshine - how are you feeling?I’m okay so far - I think. I am super worried about my family, especially my grandparents, but I wrote a letter to my aunt today with a photocopy of a knitting pattern she asked me about (I included a translation) and I’ve written a bunch of postcards to family members and friends this week so I’m trying to take my mind off things. (Maybe I’ll bake later)
Lullaby - are you looking forward to anything? Yes!! I am working on my second sweater (well, the second one that will be wearable, technicaly, it’s the third I’m making) and I am SO MUCH looking forward to wearing it!!

Another beautiful masterpiece from @geraltsbeard, the one and only. The story behind this is my roommate and I have a running joke that Geralt of Rivia has a secret burning passion for the stage, ever since the playwrite mission in Wild Hunt. So how better to celebrate that joke than commission my favorite artist to bring it to life!

This time have Aneirin aep Morgana, my Nilfgaardian soldier!

She’s a folk hero to many in the Nilfgaardian army, simply known as ‘The Sun of Nilfgaard-the truest representation of an imperial soldier. She even has a painting of her in armour with her bidenhander in the imperial palace.
Aneirin ends up creating a little Hansa of her own, almost against her will. But they eventually become a little family-Detlaff ends up joining and they end up together.
She had a giant black warhorse, wears heavy arnour and wields a giant bidenhander like below

She’s fond of blue, especially teal, so I stuck to variations of that. I emphasized artistry and detail in the choice of shield and the gilding along the edges, as well as the banners. The symbols upon the shield reflect elements of her self-image, as well as her own digital artistry.
The Latin reads “Somno. Lego. Adumbro. At Bibo Aquam Magis.” Literally, “Sleep. Read. Draw. And drink more water.” Art student life?
Don’t know why I haven’t shared this yet, but this was a commission I had done by the exceptionally talented @geraltsbeard of my roommate and I playing cards with our favorite video game character, and I definitely have it framed on a wall for everyone to see.
