Gerbil rescue! When Spiceās cage mate passed away, their owner decided they didnāt want to get another gerbil to be friends with Spice, so they surrendered him to Hamilton Animal Services. We were happy to take Spice in, and we had him neutered shortly after his arrival. Gerbils need to be in pairs or groups, so our intention is to try to find him a home where there is another lone gerbil who needs a friend. Spice is doing great in his foster home so far.
