How are there no fan fictions on Gereon and Charlotte!? Seriously they’re FIREEE!

Hi! So happy to find your blog because there are not that many who post about Babylon Berlin and my favorites, Gereon and Lotte. I still haven't seen episodes 5 & 6 but I have a couple of questions.. don't mind spoilies at all😊 Does Lotte finally pass that test? Why do you think Gereon is getting more and more distant from Helga? What's up with Greta and her not wanting to see Lotte? What did you think about Lotte and Vera's hook up in episode 4? Is Gereon and Lotte's relationship evolving?

Oh my! So many questions, but your message made me really happy! So, let’s get started! (Some things are what happened, some things are just my opinion, so I’ll try to make clear what it is)

Well, she can just repeat it in a year, so I think it won’t be visible in this season! But like Rath says “Sie sind immer noch Kriminalassistentin!”

It is shown, that he is getting more distant, because he believes his brother is still alive, so he is betraying him. My personal opinion is, that that is just the meds he’s taking (basically heroin by now) or whatever, but this is not his brother, I don’t believe so. Anyways, I don’t think he is the same attracted to Helga still. I think he keeps her in his life, because he doesn’t want to face his real feelings, fears and problems. I think Helga is his way to punish himself still. But at the same time, she is comfortable to live with. He has a “settled homelife”. But then again, he cannot be himself with her. Personally, I think he can be himself with Charlotte, because she sees him how he really is, and that in every way

Well, first off ,I think Greta is incredibly broken. She killed a child, she actually loved and figured out, that the reason why she killed Benda, a guy she actually liked, because he was like her father, WAS in fact no reason. She killed someone of her new family, because she thought her lover was dead because of him. But she was tricked. So, I think her life is broken. She is a broken soul. And as she wanted to talk to Lotte about her problem in season 2, Lotte just silenced her, and ignored her. Plus, she lied to her about working at the police. Greta has lost everyone in her life, and apparently has no reason to live anymore. So why would she want to see Lotte, who reminds her of all of this? I think she doesn’t want to be saved. That is why I don’t think she will be saved. And as sad as that is, I can understand her.

I don’t think they actually “hooked up”, since Toni was right next to them. About the making out, I don’t read anything into this. Charlotte is a romantic girl inside, I think, like she searched someone to save her, without knowing, actually. This someone turned out to be Gereon, who saved her basically from the street. (Think about what Gräf said in episode 4 to Gereon, about the buddha saving him, the same thing happened basically to Lotte because of Gereon). She is neither lesbian nor bi in my opinion (no offence). She didn’t even want this to begin with. She just got thrown into this kind of crazy sexual life, her prostitution and her open sexuality as a result of her broken life, I think. Of what she had to do while she was so young already. I think of her as a cheeky, witty, intelligent and yet somewhat shy girl, who actually wouldn’t want to do all of this. She is for sure a party girl too, but I think she would just need to get some safety from Gereon.

I hope it is envolving. I think now that they are facing their own fears more and more this season, they need each other more than before. Like she is hurt right now for the first time really much by this man, who she trust like no one else. We know by now they will have an outburst and make out heavily. The question is just: will they finally dare also to speak about their past and their experience? About what happened to them, and what they feel? I hope so, I think we can all just hope that they will finally dig a bit deeper and do not leave too much open, like last season in the end. The song Gräf sings, seems to speak out a lot though.
