Dead End is worth it, because of the acting, the atmosphere/setting, the suspense and the music, but what I will never understand is why German script writers are incabable of inventing their own plot/characters/twists. Why do they always have to copy American TV and literature? The murderer for example pulls teeth (like in Sharp Objects) and the papers call them the Tooth Fairy (like in Red Dragon) like seriously? Why? Why can’t they think of something more original? What they do is quite simply 'plagiarizing' from American authors. which means they STEAL. I’m so disappointed...I hoped for more. At least, there’s this cute relationship between Emma and Betty and Emma’s dad is quite cool...and the town’s mayor. It’s a shame Germany has got good actors, but the screen writers are uninspired and lazy.
Tatort

EY UP - German (speaking) LoM fans!
SERVUS TV is showing the German dub of Life on Mars (UK) tonight and every Friday, at 22:20h! The repeat is on Saturday/Sunday night at 0:45.
Keep in mind it's the German dub and approximately 6 minutes shorter than the original! Tonight is the 2nd ep of series 1 - I'd have posted this last week already if I had known about it, so that we could have started from the very beginning! Sorreh. ; v;
Watching this show about curses, and everytime it introduces a historical curse it acts like curses are real, but by the end of the section they're like, "yeah no, it was probably superstition and politics that killed the tsar and his family, not Rasputin's curse" or "turns out, science explained why Egyptologists died after the tomb: mould spores got in their lungs and caused a lung infection". It's so pragmatic and German: I love it
