"A Normal Fruit. That Normal People Could Eat" (A Magolor Fanfic)
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
Magolor had an...interesting. Relationship. With apples. To say the least. Everyone assumed he loved them, and if you asked him, he would smile and tell you they were his favorite food. He just loved them so much! That’s why he branded an entire shop around it! It’s why he planted an apple tree in the Dream Kingdom’s Castle Town. He loved apples!
That’s. What he would say, anyways.
The truth is. The truth that nobody knew. Is Magolor’s opinions on apples were much more complicated than that.
Before Popstar? He doesn’t even remember if he had ever had an apple before. He doesn’t remember if he had them back home. If he ever ate one. Got to enjoy the taste of them before they were tainted forever.
That was. The only time in his life. When his relationship with the red fruit was...what one could describe as “normal”. (Truth be told? Magolor had no clue what being normal was like. He would never know, but he can act like he knows!)
First ever Kirby fic?? And to nobody's surprise it's Magolor centric! Please go check it out it's like nearly 3000 words which is more than I typically write for a fanfic
So. I began writing Magolor thoughts down in a GC and decided I'd kind of adapt them into a fic (not much changed other than capitalizing words) and THIS IS THE WORD COUNT...
Chilly wasn’t...the best. With emotions. Most people knew him as fairly calm, usually the emotionally stable one of whatever group he was a part of. So, of course, the last thing he expected to do was fall in love…
Especially when he can’t even be sure the person he loves was real at all.
(Or: Chilly has very complicated emotions regarding the events of RTDL)
New Kirby fic, the link would not post the proper way so I just linked it in the title, this is connected to my previous Kirby fic
Everybody knows Skizz saved Impulse's life when they were young adults, but most people don't know what they had went through before that. This is that story, told in snippets, some of which they themselves to not remember.
AKA: My Imp and Skizz backstory.
New fanfic! Finally! I'll try and update it regularly, it's only 3 chapters, but it's literally 8000+ words so.
Summary: “He… couldn’t dwell on that now… and as those thoughts silenced… other thoughts began to surface, ones that were much more painful…
Thoughts about how he’d left Impulse and Zedaph all alone, without telling them he was leaving on a death mission… how they may be dead now… and it’s because he failed.
And if they’re all dead, he can’t even begin to imagine the grief that would send Skizz into… back home. Home… Tango missed home. Many would think Hermitcraft was home, and in a lot of ways it was.
But nothing could replace the small, four person house Tango had basically been raised in… nothing could replace the small room downstairs with a large television set up, or his bedroom upstairs adorned in Nether blocks, or the fact he and Zed slept in rooms right next to each other, so much that they could practically hear the other talking to himself at night….”
So I’ve been having this thought since the HC8 finale and I finally got time to sit down and write about 500 words of agony.
Disclaimer: I take the Moon Big as an event that literally happened. I have nothing against Hermatrix enjoyers, people who prefer that idea because it guarantees the Hermits’ safety, or the Hermatrix itself as a whole. I just like the inherent tragedy of a server of beloved “gods” being literally destroyed and the reactions of everybody outside of HC. With that said, please enjoy the agony about to ensue. I also just prefer this method because I can fit my headcanons into it better.
Having said that, the agony is under the read more, and this runs on the idea that the HC Recap is a news show in universe and they do not have all the information needed to know certain things
(reblogs with tags or comments are appreciated since I don’t post my writing as much as my art. Thankyu)
It was. Hard. For the Recap studio to make the final update to the S8 edition of their show. Both Pix n Zloy were already busy with their own servers and now they had to cope with the fact that some of the Hermits may be dead and they were the two people expected to tell that to everybody. It was a hard responsibility and they didn’t even have the entire story…but someone had to break the news.
So when they aired that Finale S8 update for the universe to see…it was only a matter of time before the fallout. Millions of people were used to the recap being lighthearted and just explaining the on goings of the Hermits for those who wished they could know them.
And sure, everybody had been a little concerned when the Moon’s size had been commented on by the recap, but nobody thought much of it. Hermitcraft is a weird server. Clones are rampant, there’s a Void hole in the center of a town, one of them experiments on their friends. Hermitcraft is weird.
Nobody expected it to become tragic.
So when millions of people tune into this news show to hear that the members could be dead. People who may not know the Hermits. People who the Hermits considered family. People who were the Hermits’ family….People who were Hermits…. Everybody is holding onto hope that the Hermits are okay…but with how ambiguous some of the information was? The minds of these people were left to wander.
The Legates, who looked up to the Hermits, sympathizing with the sudden loss of a server. Seeing two who used to be their own…seemingly gone...
The Empires members, seeing people they considered friends, suffer a tragedy worse than most. Most notably are Sausage and Fwhip, who have to cope with the possible loss of their sister…
And then there’s the inactive and retired Hermits having to cope with the fact a server they called home once…just suffered. People like Pungence having to cope with the fact their family was on the server when that happened.
Not to mention the off server family that had never stepped foot on Hermitcraft… people like Skizzleman, who were blissfully unaware of the Moon situation until finding out that their brother was possibly dead... Until one of their family members was floating in the endless abyss of space, probably losing oxygen with every second that passes.
It was a depressing day when that newscast dropped… even if the Hermits are going to inevitably be okay… how are the people outside the server supposed to know that?
