Gerontechnology and How We Think About Aging

Last week, I joined an intergenerational volunteer program set up by Jean Coppola which is part of the curriculum for a class she holds on intergenerational computing. Students get paired with seniors whom they tutor for 7 weeks on whatever it is the seniors want to learn.
It was hilarious listening to them all. Like I said below, I wish I had a pair of google glasses to capture every moment. I ended up getting paired with an 86 year old (let’s call her L) and an 89 year old (let’s call her B) whom I am set to tutor every Friday for the next 7 weeks.
